The Big 12 is an afterthought now. Big ten and Sec are the only conferences that matter.
Lol. No they aren't. There's thousands of kids and hundreds of coaches all across this land to whom this game means the world. Those teams have quite large and relatively small fan bases and everything in between. To them the actual sport means something. Only casual college football fans would say the Big 10 and SEC are the only conferences that matter. Oh, and I graduated from a SEC school. Huge fan of the football team too.
@@michaelbee2165 I’m not saying it’s not big for the kids playing and fans. I played football at the D3 level. Hell, my old head coach and offensive coordinator are coaching in the Big 12 now, and I will still root for Kansas. But the big 12 used to be a premier conference and it no longer is.
The money and TV exposure that the Big ten and Sec will get will make the gaps between the programs even greater. Big 12 without Texas and Oklahoma is not great.
Pac 12 is totally done. The conference is probably going to fold soon. The Big 12 will probably survive a little longer as the 2nd tier conference. This is just reality. I don’t like it. I miss the old system where we had 4 or 5 legit conferences instead of 2 mega conferences.

Every top player in the country is gonna make a b line to Colorado. Deion has many incredible qualities as a coach and person. As a coach even though he is in his 50s he REALLY understands the complicated but extremely important role that social media and individuality plays in the life of todays youth. He lets them build their brand within the team concept. I could really go on about this forever. Because it’s only gonna get more important for the kids but this ability to be your own brand is really their right. And for so many of these players even though they are incredibly talented the football stops after college. So the brand they are able to build and the subscriber base they gain while in the spotlight has real serious future value.
It's hard to defeat a person when they love their craft. Coach Prime is a winner 🏆

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been a fan of Prime since I was a kid but that was one of the best conferences I’ve seen in terms of how a D1 or pro coach navigated questions from the media. 👏🏾👏🏾
