I could never forget the gorgeous Steve Currie. He was as talented at playing bass guitar as he was handsome. I always feel drawn to him whenever I see his vids or pics. He must have had a magnetic and very charming personality. Wherever you are, I'll love you always Steve.
I'm 14 and I have had a pretty hard life lately but this man has helped me get through the hard times when I cry I turn on my iPod and play his music...so soppy I know but I'm just so passionate about him xx
ThesePassions... I’m 64 and have loved Marc Bolan since I was 14, and my life has been terribly difficult lately and I, too, turned to Marc and his music or I don’t think I’d be here now. I hope your life has gotten easier. Hugs. 💕
I'm 52, children of the revolution is still my most favi, my birthyear. You're never to young or to old for music! You were born late. Even my daughter of 15 abd son of 23 wanted to be in my childhood, they love also all of this. 🙏🏽🔥🎸🩵😎
I saw T Rex at Festival Hall in Melbourne, 1974 (?). Marc was a Fairy Elfin Poet. He is gracious and unaffected by wealth and fame, save that these twin attributes allowed him to purely create. He was a rockstar with an innocent spirt, that’s why we loved him. That’s why we were devastated to lose him. Compare him to the manicured, manufactured egos of the pap that has passed for popular music, now days. What would Marc ever thought of Cardi B et-al? I can’t imagine him living longer than he did. Perhaps, neither could he.
Melbourne was November 7th 1973 I was there Adelaide was the night before the 6th Nov, I was there too I was so happy in my pink satin jacket my mum made for me.. But what I don't remember was.......what band toured with them....?.? Do you remember I thought it was Coloued Balls maybe.....? Some of the 70's is a blur 🤪 So many tours, T Rex, Slade, Sweet and the list goes on.......
Is it really 35 years since Marc Bolan passed away. Cant help thinking from time to time how much of a legacy he left us. Just the other day there was an advert for kids juice with a T . rex soundtrack. I was 17 in 77 which makes me pushing almost 53. RIP Marc.
Marc this is absolutely amazing. I can feel your total love for him in my soul and his music I also am one An adorable vid thanks for sharing and I feel so very honoured to be your old time friend. Friendly hugs K
He almost predicted punk rock. He said five years ago it was the Beatles, then TRex and in five years it will be ----. Fill in the blank. What occurred then was Punk Rock. He passed away just when it was about to explode. So he was very smart! RIP Marc Bolan
Telegram Sam was the track that got me hooked. There were two lads in my year that were really nuts on them. They spread the gospel before the big explosion in about 1973. I had a copy of their greatest hits for ages the one that had the poster given with it. It had Bolan riding the tiger. BOLAN BOWIE ELTON JOHN all born in 1947. Fantasy 65 birthday concert. Truck on Tyke
Between Rick Thunder God Allen and Rick SAV Savage from Def Leppard both have a beautiful resemblance to this incredibly awesome and beautiful soul of a man who is still greatly missed to this day! 💖💖💖
Hi K i love to post marc bolan / t.rex videos marcs memory and music will carry on long after we are gone you tube is a great place i got to know great people such as yourself Take care - Cosmic Hugs To You
Hi Marc just got your message. This is the band arriving at Brussels airport in Belgium on 23rd March 1973. They were on a European tour. The acoustic version of 20th Century Boy was filmed at the Westbury Hotel in Brussels. The concert setting is the National Voorst, Brussels. The interview for a Belgian music programme called "Veronica's". I've travelled all over the United States and America was a huge influence on Marc's writing. I wish it had been Newark, New Jersey - much more "Rock'nRoll"
He was about to say that the next big thing will be .... what??? it was cut off or he didn't have a chance to answer ... it's interesting that he doesn't make mention of Elton - Born to Boogie is crap, but the music + clips with Elton are great - love you always Marc!
Love Marc, a true legend, but I have to say I’ve never seen anyone more totally aware of the cameras every single time he was being filmed...such an unashamed poser, the cheeky little smirks giving away his sheer delight at being the centre of attention, but then why not he was living the dream after all. I watched a documentary where on reading the news of the death of Elvis Presley and looking at the amount of newspaper coverage he was quoted as saying, “wouldn’t this be a terrible time to die” obviously meaning it wouldn’t make the headlines. Funny to think this was 16th August 1977, and ironically he died exactly one month to the day later on 16th September 1977. We will never know what he would have become, his death having sealed his iconic status for all time, but I hope he would have gone on to be as great as Bowie.
Bowie? Who liked him? He was too freaky for me! I was 12 in 73 making them a little before my time. I did listen to t-rex later on. I loved their music. It is Steve Currie I fell in love with, the very handsome bass player. Gorgeous guy. I love you Steve. RIP Steve.
Hi Andy i knew i can ask you - Thank You so much for the info - its great ! man you are a marc bolan / t.rex encyclopedia - have you ever been to new jersey - we have some very nice places here take care my friend - i put your comment in my info box for the video - i hope you dont mind marc
this guy was had so much commen sense that did in no way seemed to distract from his art skill toolbox of all the ledgends that died at the same age 29 which i was to find out he was that young when i saw him at the worcester auditorein the mid seventies he seemed older probably because of his huge library of work
His comparing T-Rex to the Beatles is like comparing the Bay City Rollers to the Rolling Stones --- pure nonsense. Doubtful any young person today ever heard of T-Rex.
I’m 13 years old right now and I love this band, and plenty of other old bands that weren’t insanely popular. Good music knows no boundaries nor limits.
The film he made with Ringo was utter shite and he is just prattling on he had his time but it got to be one trick pony situation after electric warrior he never recorded a decent lp and it got to be embarrassing personally bu the time of his tv show he was totally shot. If he hadnt died i dont think he would have been any bigger than he was he didnt have a wide range not like bowie a niche he found but blew it up

He died in 1981...car crash.
