Jill is a monster violinist. Fuki always surrounds herself with an amazing group of musicians. One of her other projects, Fuki Commune featured Isao Fujita from the Kami Band. Oh … and nice Mr. Trolololo interlude while answer the door.
I don't know if you noticed, but Jill literally shredded her bow in this performance at around 4.35 min in the original video and even tries to "fix it" later (around 7.05 min), aka rip the string off that's dangling around the rest of the Dance of Eternity performance. She's a (probably) barely 155cm tall fire breathing violin demon and I mean that in the absolute most positive way possible ;).
My first exposure to Jill was at Sabaku Con in 2016, where she was appearing as part of Hollow Mellow with Nemu on guitar and Iruma Rioka on keyboard and vocals. Her and Nemu had a musical "battle" that ranged from Paganini's 24th caprice, 2 bits of music from the original Super Mario Bros, Rondo alla Turca by Mozart and ended with the entire first movement of the Summer concerto of Vivaldi's 4 seasons. They also did Dance of Eternity as well, and seeing Jill do all that in a Gothic Lolita, white rabbit ensemble, made me a fan for life. Her intonation is among the best I've ever heard live and only outdone by the fact I've seen Hilary Hahn 3 times in the last decade. Just outrageously good musicianship.
Unlucky Morpheus is crazy good. It's a testament to how skilled they are that a vocalist as good as Fuki and a guitarist as great as Shiren aren't present here yet it's still incredible.
Remember that Yngvie Malmsteen was inspired by classical violin pieces. Jill has also a done cover of Yngvie Malmsteen so from violin to guitar back to violin.
Actually, it's not Unlucky Morpheus, but Quadratum which is a sub unit of Unlucky Morpheus. Jill is an outstanding violinist with perfect pitch. You definitely should checkout her covers of Far beyond the sun by Yngwie Malmsteen and For the love of God by Steve Vai.
QUADRATUM is a side project by Unlucky Morpheus without Shiren and Fuki. The band's musicians are beyond any doubt, they all master "every" style of music, for me they belong to the best there is, definitely the top league "live" anyway. Great reaction

I never got on the Dream Theater band wagon. Amazing musicians all of them, but I always found their music boring. Unlucky Morpheus did a fine job though. Jill is a beast.

I had seen the studio version but the live performance even more crazy impressive thanks for reacting to it. that unlucky morpheus quadratum record has to be the best record of cover songs I've seen 🙂cool that you are trying to do it in one take I do all my instructional videos (after the 1st one) without editing just because I decided I would rather practice more then spend time editing and it gives a more realistic idea of what the students can achieve rather then just editing it to perfection🙂

Yes, UM are musical Jedi, and Jill is a violin god. Best rock/fusion violinist since Jean-Luc Ponty, and he never went this hard.
