- I've been struggling for a VERY long time with my weight and chronic back pain (alongside a few other health issues) so, I decided after months of research, to bite the bullet and get weight loss surgery done in Turkey. I know that this will be a permanent lifestyle change and I will no longer be able to eat like I did before but I'm ready and excited to share my journey .. both good and bad! Cheers to you girl. I'm truly so happy for you especially since I'm about the same weight (overweight all my life) and can so relate to how you feel. Luckily you can afford the surgery, I encourage anyone who can to go for it as most of us would too.
Side- and before anyone comes at me, some folks can't, literally can't afford a good diet/exercise regime let alone surgery/tool to help the process.

I just got out of the hospital yesterday 2/19/21 from the same surgery. I not able to eat. I just drink little sips of apple juice. Im on pain meds. My blood pressure was a little high, but over all.. Im doing good.

Hi guys I'm in the research stage of my process. Anyone know where I can do an unbiased check on a doctor in Turkey. I'll leave his name here incase anyone know anything of him. Dr. Mani Habibi at Antalya Anatolian hospital. I've done Google, and a couple of sites to check but I don't know if there's more I can do to verify if I'm trusting the right doctor. Any info will help. Oh and he's charging €2000 is that necessarily a red flag.

I think both country is good but depending on where you go for your surgery but do your research. Am doing my research now and am going Mexico 🇲🇽 in January 2122👏🏾

Yes but I checked it in so my suitcase could have been up to 23 kg 😊

I qualified but to be honest, waiting lists and the process just would have taken up to a year and I didn’t have that time mentally and physically x

The pain is real but worth it
Did they require you to have high blood pressure or diabetes? I want the surgery but I don’t have those illnesses just BMI of 35
No they didn’t but I did have my bloods and other medical work done at the hospital there a day before my surgery. All was fine.

How was the flight home ? X
It wasn’t bad because my flight was only 3 hours. I would recommend getting airport assistance (wheelchair) to and from the plane doors, helps ease the pain and you don’t have to carry your bags. Really helpful.
So how did you feel alone? Did you have anyone with you?
I felt fine, even though I went by myself. I actually preferred not having anyone fuss around me and a possibility of someone making me nervous for no reason. However, I did meet a lovely girl that was booked on the same day as me and we’re still in contact now x
