In French, "Y" is pronounced "ee-GRECK". "Lengua" makes sense for "tongue" -- "language" seems to come from "lengua" of "iingua". Barbilla (chin) reminds me of the Spanish "barba" (beard) -- Tener barba = to have a beard... Thanks for supplementing my Duolingo lessons; I haven't seen many of these words before.

Hey! But you are right... you can call it "el pelo" or "el cabello". To be honest, in my country, the "cabello" form feels unnatural, but I know many other places use it as the common way to say it. Either way, we are able to understand that you mean hair 🤷♀️

Hola! Love your Spanish, your pronunciation's so good! I'd recommend learning Lengua de Señas Mexicana (just like ASL, but it's LSM) for leaning vocab. Since you're learning a new language, i think it'd be easier to remember the words when you're doing a sign for them. La verdad, most of them are kind of self explanatory, so it's very easy to make a correlation uwu Have a nice day, maestra!
