  • Ouray Via Ferrata in Ouray, Colorado is one of the few "free" Via Ferratas in the United States. This Via Ferrata in Ouray is considered a more challenging route than Telluride Via Ferrata. It also has unique obstacles such as a cable bridge, rope ladder, overhanging Helix Ladder, and a vertical Sky Climb. It is a dream come true for adventure, adrenaline addicts like we are. Hello from Ouray! It was a great day when they completed these via ferratas!

Hello! I bet it was! I wish we could run them all the time!

@@LiveThatAdventure absolutely! That would have been a great couple of days!
They are also building a private via ferrata too somewhat by the ice rink on the north edge of town; kind of by where the bigger welcome to Ouray sign is. I need to check the status of that. That will be a "fee" via ferrata.

@ThatAdventureLife I think so. What a shell I have been hiding under this summer hehehe. I will clarify with my buddy that runs the ice park.
We are heading to the Mojave and Colorado Deserts this Sunday for 2 weeks (with a 2 day excusion to Vegas for a U2 concert).

That sky climb looks wild. I feel the stairs seem more scenic.

Not gonna lie. That climb is pretty tough. It is a lot of fun though. The bridge is still fun and exciting though.

Felt ok without a guide? I’m into rock climbing indoors/sport climbing out doors. Never tried anything too extreme

Hey Davie! I think that you should be fine on the downstream route if you are a climber. The only part that will give you a run for your money is that sky climb and you can skip it if you're not feeling it. The upstream route is quite Bit more challenging. We will have a video for that one next season. 😎🤙

Is there a way to do this with a guided tour? Because I’m a beginner but really want to do this

Hi, you can hire a tour guide to guide you through this. We recommend Basecamp Ouray. They're super nice and amazing!! You can try out their Gold Mountain route too! We did Gold Mountain with them. Say hi to Logan for us if you see him. ☺️
