It was becoming very stale towards the end with the crew. They have been great but they've become very overrated

I was at a Q&A event with Phil Thompson not too long ago and he seemed to miss the old Soccer Saturday
He didn't say much about the circumstances behind his departure or the current state of Soccer Saturday, probably out of respect but he had some hilarious stories about his time with the likes of Jeff Stelling, Paul Merson, Matt Le Tissier and Charlie Nicholas
Merse stabbed his mates in the back to keep his job.
He couldn’t afford to leave the show read his biography.

Sky and their typical box ticking have completely messed this show up…

this reminds me of when wrestling became fake to make it more interesting to the viewers, on this show they tried to fake some funny incidents, for example trying to recreate the Kamara humor
Now we know why Jeff left Soccer Saturday...he couldn't anymore put up with the sandwiches supplied by Chernobyl! 🥪☢️
