I never was into american steam. But European/UK, being an LGB modeler, I've fallen in love with this historic train here. What a great way to mark 150 years. She's absolutely the most beautiful steam locomotive in the entire isles, imo. And great camera work.
As an ex Londoner now living in Aus for the past 41 years I say thanks You tube is amazing. Proud to say that London had the first underground railway in the world Would be nice see and ex GWR 57XX working too. I used to chase them from Lilly Bridge around Farringdon back in 1970/71
Hiya Jules, Excellent footage of a great and historic day. I filmed the VIP morning run at Notting Hill Gate. Also filmed No: 1 arriving at Moorgate as I had a ride behind it and filmed its last run past Farringdon. Barry
Jules Jules Jules , Outstanding,,, that was brilliant, Metropoliton No. One looked in fine form,,, (where was the rolling stock/ coaches from they also looked amazing. WELL done and thank you. Lovely footage.
Great footage there, and some lovely sounds(and smells i bet!)from Metropolitan 1 in particular. It almost started off badly though, as i see 'The curse of the invisible videographer' almost struck - your firm but fair "Excuse me!" doing the trick nicely though :-)

Great stuff. I was at Barbican as well. Also saw it at Earl's Court. Would like to have seen it in the evening as well, but never mind.
