  • Full Ingredients Description:
    Ingredients for Meethi Roti:
Whole Wheat Flour (Atta): 2 cups
Sugar: 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
Ghee (Clarified Butter): 2 tablespoons (plus extra for cooking)
Milk: 1/4 cup (warm, to knead the dough)
    Fennel Seeds (Saunf): 1 teaspoon
    Cardamom Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    Salt: A pinch (optional)
Water: As needed (to knead the dough)
    Optional Garnish:
Nuts (Almonds, Pistachios, etc.): Finely chopped, for garnish
    Honey: For drizzling (optional)
    Equipment:
    Mixing bowl
    Rolling pin
    Tawa or skillet
    Measuring cups and spoons
    Spatula
    Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, sugar, fennel seeds, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt.
Add the ghee to the flour mixture and mix well until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add warm milk to the mixture and knead it into a soft dough. If needed, add water little by little to achieve the desired dough consistency.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.
Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
Roll out each ball into a flat, round roti (about 6-7 inches in diameter) on a lightly floured surface.
Heat a tawa or skillet over medium heat.
Place the rolled roti on the hot tawa and cook until bubbles start to form on the surface.
Flip the roti and apply a little ghee on the cooked side. Cook the other side until golden brown.
Flip again, apply ghee on the second side, and cook until both sides are golden and slightly crispy.
Remove the meethi roti from the tawa and repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
Optionally, garnish with finely chopped nuts and drizzle with honey before serving.
    Enjoy your delicious Meethi Roti!
Feel free to adjust the sweetness and flavors according to your preference. Happy cooking!
