You have saved my life with these stretches. Since October 2018 I suffered with terrible prostatitis and PFD. Every kind of test was done. Multiple Urologists, Doctors, etc. Nothing ever found. It wasn't until I went to Pelvic Floor PT and found a Gonstead Chiropractor that I started to have relief. It took weeks of hard work, but the symptoms waned. To anyone who suffers from Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, PLEASE have a chiropractor or a physiotherapist check your Sacral/Sacroilliac joint. My SI joint was damaged from running and my entire pelvic floor tightened over time because of it. It caused very bad urinary symptoms and prostate swelling. Recovery was difficult and took time but through stretching it DID happen. Visit a Urologist to rule out a bacterial issue and then get yourself to PT and watch videos like these. There is hope and you WILL get better.
YES -- thank you so much for sharing your story and your words of encouragement! It's so important for people to see that there's hope (and resources out there that can help).
I have constant sudden flare ups in my scrotum, I think it might be epididymitis but The I got an ultrasound and it didn’t show anything bad whatsoever, the dr didn’t give me meds I’m so tired I’ve been having sudden pain since November last year, I also have light pain in my lower abdomen, so you think this will help?
@@QueMeVezWei I would really start doing stretches, these ones specifically, and get a referral from your Doctor for PT. Also, realize that you are going to be ok, stay calm, and know you will beat this.
Finally someone who knows what they're talking about. Tried yoga w Adrienne's videos and both of them made me even tighter. As soon as some idiot goes "now do a kegel" I want to physically rip off my face and throw it at them. Like bruh. I am in a constant kegel. It's never not clenched. Not gonna clench more. How is this logic?? But your vid actually helped sooo much. It's not perfect yet cuz of course it would make no sense if it was fully relaxed after one 20minute vid. But I can finally feel some relief and openess and I no longer feel like I'm permanently clenched. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I feel comfortable awareness in my vagina without numbness or pain for the first time in over ten yrs
Dr. Bri, you saved me. That stretch where you bring your foot on the thigh of the other leg and shift bringing the foot on the floor! I can't thank you enough for your help. I just had a flare-up from sex, I wasn't able to collect my son from school because of that horrible horrible pain. I suffered for a year already, had multiple tests and scans, but still didn't know what was causing pain. I was doubting PT before, but did 2 sessions of pelvic therapy and found out I am not able to relax my muscles down there fully. Now I know I'm headed towards the right direction. Thank you!
Mine is trigged by sex too we’re you able to fully recover and have sex regularly without the pain mine isn’t during it’s usually a few days later or the next Day
@@carolinekelly636 Hi, still not recovered, but taking meds for overactive bladder, this somewhat helps as I also have urinary symptoms. I also have lichen sclerosus. What helps me: emu oil for vulva and vagina, vaginal estrogen, stretching, deep breathing, walking, vaginal wand for internal massage/stretch (but careful not to overdo it), also massage gun for my back, bottom and legs. And strengthening hips. And my pelvic physiotherapist did internal work, especially on my anterior muscles close to bladder, it is hard to reach with the wand.
Wow. All I can say is thank you - SO MUCH. I am a 24 year old male that suffers from PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I was recently diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction / pelvic pain. I was recommended personally by my Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to watch a few of your videos. This is my first time doing these stretches, but about 10-15 minutes later I am really experiencing some relief. My pelvic muscles feel relaxed, at least right now. I will definitely be using this video daily. And I will be recommended it to anyone I know with pelvic pain.
Hello Dr Bri - Thank you. You’ll never truly know how much you have helped me. It was this specific video that pulled me back from the edge while suffering from a relapse (after 4+ years of 90% reduction in pain). The flare up was so painful that I began to hyperventilate, knowing that I could not continue living in this painful condition any longer. This stretch routine calmed me down enough to gather my senses and begin my new road to recovery. In the most heartfelt and sincerest way possible, I will be thanking you for the rest of my life. I am a male, and I have been suffering from this horrible affliction for over a decade. My story is very similar to the others that have left comments in these videos. I’d like to share all the details of my journey (in fact I think it would probably be therapeutic to some degree), but I’d rather cut to the chase for the benefit of others. Team - There is HOPE! Lots of hope! In the mid 2000’s there was hardly any real understanding or empathy from the urology field of practice. My story took me through 6 urologists, and one of them was a NIH member from UW. No help or hope was found there. Here’s the hope...there are specialized clinics now (I think Dr Brie posted a link to a directory but I can’t seem to find it again). I had to do do some digging to find a clinic in my geography, called a few, found the names of reputable therapists that were certified in this specific practice (I don’t remember the certification title/name), track them to their current employment location and begin the discussion of treatment, insurance coverage, etc. I was amazed that I did find empathy, as well as “above and beyond” help in finding a chiropractor that treated this condition. In a sense, it was putting to action very similar to professional networking....finding out who did what and where, industry jargon, etc., but for chronic pelvic pain management instead. It seems to me there is a newer and more holistic approach to managing/healing this pain; chiropractic, physical therapy, posture adjustment, relaxation and medicine (I was prescribed a muscle relaxant suppository that reeeally helped me get in front of an oncoming flare up). I ran out, and my recent flare up went from uncomfortable to unbearable. Now I have to “network” my way back into finding the therapist and clinics that will work best for me. But this time my fear and anxiety is greatly reduced knowing that there is help out there, and that in itself makes way for some relief. If you’re suffering like I am at this very moment, my opinion would be to buy the “Headache in the Pelvis book”, do your level best at researching and finding specialized clinics and practitioners in your geography (be prepared to travel), do this video routine 2-3 times a day, help others if you’re able, and please please please, do not give up hope. It’s out there. All the above is my personal story and my personal opinion, and I hope someone out there will benefit from what I had to say. God bless!
Glad this video is helping. Don't hesitate to check this free pelvic pain and tension guide for additional support. bit.ly/femalepainguide ~ Vibrant Support
Some info for people with pelvic problems - A lot of pelvic issues are from nerve misfires, causing muscles to contract when they shouldn't. There is a huge nerve cluster right in your pelvic area, at the bottom, the sacral plexus. All kinds of pelvic issues can happen after accidents, surgeries, especially hysterectomies, c-sections and other abdominal surgeries. Trouble urinating, cant empty bladder or the feeling of it, pain, tension, tenesmus, can trigger levator ani and many other pelvic issues. 9 weeks of Amitriptyline, 20 mg before bed. Its a hard medication to take, as it makes you sleepy a bit the next day, but it resets the nerves, dramatically improves symptoms and most completely disappear. Takes about 4-8 weeks to work. Physical therapy treats the symptoms not the cause though it is a great help for many.
Every case is unique and every one should consult their healthcare provider to see what's the best treatment plan for them. My approach focuses on both the mind and body, and does not rely solely on physical exercises. Meditation, and other stress relief tools can help relax the mind, which will help relax the body.
@@vibrantpelvichealth your channel is very informative. Most often one can diagnose the cause by going after the trigger. So many people have come to me with such utterly gross misdiagnosis, having been in pain for years. I’m glad to see you help people! the trigger is the best indicator for a cure.
Ok I love this series, I love that she is creating these for people, it's awesome. I do feel like if we are addressing women's pelvic health issues, as well as men's; and we are ok saying the word "testicles" we absolutely have to be OK saying the word vagina, or vulva, or whatever. What is wrong with these words? There should be no stigma around the words that describe our body parts, especially when we are dealing with health problems in those areas. One could argue that the inability to even name these body parts compounds the difficulties women face when living with pelvic pain issues.
Unfortunately it all comes down to company image, youtube flags the word vagina as sexualised content which they dont want on their platform. I know it’s just a word, but RUclips does everything to avoid bad press. KNowing there are kids on RUclips, they have to treat every piece of content as if it is being viewed by kids. THe last thing RUclips and any social media tech giant want, is an army of Karen’s blaming them for showing “explicit content” to their children’s and “having to explain what a penis is”.
@@whyeumadbro None of what you wrote is true. There are thousands of RUclips videos with millions of views using the words vagina, vulva, vaginal, vaj, sex, sexuality, orgasm, clitoris, etc, plainly in the titles. There are videos by mainstream orgs like Scientific American and Ted Talks on the clitoris. There are hundreds of accounts on here run by sex therapists, PT's and sexual medicine doctors with millions of views, using these words plainly and normally in every video. Just do a search. Also, RUclips requires videos to be marked as specifically for kids now. So they definitely aren't treating every piece of content as if it is being viewed by kids, but if they did, there is nothing in this video or most videos on vulvar/vaginal health that anyone could call explicit. Even videos of genital surgery are viewable on youtube. Why would you think it's ok to respond to someone with an explanation you just made up?
@@SGRmoss I have. The word “bladder” is demonetized, so is “healing”, and “rehab/rehabilitation” and a bunch of other benign words required to be used in pelvic floor PT videos. No one is making cutesy euphemisms for “bladder.”
I’ve had pelvic tension for 20 years now and have lost countless nights of sleep. I am so grateful for this upload as now I understand the pain and can relieve it as well as knowing I’m not the only male experiencing this. You have a very calming demeanour and a beautiful aura. Thank you.
I'm so glad it's been helpful for you, Jonathan! If you go to bit.ly/FemPlaylists you'll see that I have an entire playlist dedicated to Men's Health that you might enjoy exploring. I also have more videos that may help you in my Pelvic Pain/Tension playlist.
This video is magical!!! The moves, your voice, your words, your empathy. I felt a lot of hope! Thank you. I’m 8 weeks post hysterectomy for fibroid enlarged uterus that made itself known with an emergency acute urinary retention! Not fun. Am in love with pelvic floor physical therapists. They are so compassionate and actually help.
Ahh this felt great. I was crying and frustrated with my pain today that I've deal with since I was a teen. This helped me and your voice is so soothing. I will be sure to do this daily!
FemFusion Fitness ...and you have such a sunny disposition! It makes this frustrating pelvic floor tension much easier to deal with because you are so positive 😄
I simply cannot believe my new pelvic therapist sent me this video. I have chills all over my body. This is my sign from the divine. I love you bri and have been following your for quite some time. The fact that this therapist knows of you makes my heart SO FULL!!!
Thank you femfusion, coming from a different culture with my limited English language skills (my husband is writing this for me) I found your demonstrations of exercises, clear and easy to follow and I am starting to get results
I am a healthy male in my early 50s, and developed a tight pelvic condition, related to my prostate. My urologist diagnosed my condition to be related to a tightness in my bladder neck, and recommended that I try to find a pt that can help me relax my pelvic floor muscle. I found your video, and started to incorporate your exercises into my daily stretches, and have started to get some relief from the tightness within 2 weeks. Thank you for making this video, and hope that other men can find this, and get some relief. So grateful! Jeff
so glad i found you, i have pelvic floor dysfunction as a male since one year including ED, it really feels like one is out of balance and disconnected from everything, basically the root chakra gets blocked and so all others chakras aswell which depend on the root of all... that was truly a great video, it felt like 5 minutes doing the excercises and i feel release already, time to let this go : ) if someone reads this having pelvic floor dysfunction, please be aware that a holistic approach is necessary to get over it, im so excited because i already learned so much due to this dysfunction...relaxation, healthy foods, stretches, walking´(especially barefoot), laughing, releasing, letting go is whats needed, physical therapy is also great, hot showers two herbs i can recommend to everyone but especially ppl with pelvic floor dysfunction are Ashwaganda and Maca Thank you so much for this video i will do these now everyday, your energy is brilliant : )
Your perspective on your personal journey is great - I love that you acknowledge how much it helped you learn about general healthy living. Awesome. Take care, and I'm glad you enjoyed my video!
I also suffer from CPPS or HF.. I do recognise your problem as a male. I have been doing all those things you mentioned above, but I still have HF (Hard Flaccid ). I have also done acupuncture, used tense machine on my feet, all sorts of stretches, breathing techniques, used thera wand to release trigger points, healthy diet, exercising, barefoot walking, take all those herbs, sleep well, no stress etc... but still have HF due and ED due to tight pelvic floor. I have also been examined by UK top urologists for leaky venous, peyrony's disease and after four years they are not telling me that I am all fine. their only suggestion is a penis implant or injection of liquid Viagra!!! I refused. I am not looking at Shockwave Therapy as my last hope. I wish you could tell me if these exercises will help me get rid of my CPPS or HF..
FreeLife, I also have pelvic floor dysfunction (I'm a female). Could you tell me what holistic methods you used for dealing with it? And... since 8 months have passed since your comment here, *were* you able to deal with it? I really want to put an end to this issue, but I am not aware what holistic methods exist for dealing with this issue. Thank you in advance for your answer.
My first time doing these exercises I had such a release that I had a feeling of a bubble flowing down and then a release of bladder. I am seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist and she suggested I watch your video.
Dr Bri. I am a 58 year old male(weight lifting guy/personal trainer/private gym owner in So Calif) with SUPER TIGHT pelvic floor muscles and with urination(stop start/hesitation) and erection/sex issues and have been to every urologist in my area. I am now going to a women's rehab center(mainly women) and they are helping me with my pelvic floor and breathing and relaxing. It has been a rough go for me and I have learned that lifting weights is a great thing but it has come with a high price. I have just started my journey stretching those muscles after years and years of "poo-pooing" yoga and the need to stretch.....now I guess I am the one with "egg on my face". I just did your 24 minute video and found myself laughing out loud trying to do some of your moves(legs over head) but I did the best I could and am happy to sort of be headed in the right direction. Thank you for your lovely video. I will do it as often as I can and hope that the last 30 years of weight training can be loosened up a bit. Once again thank you. Mark G
You're very welcome, Mark! I'm so glad my video has helped you. It takes time to do some of those crazier moves, but you'll get the hang of 'em. ;) Keep an eye on my channel; in about 2 weeks I have a quick (under 10 min) hip + pelvic floor stretch break video that I think you'll like for those times when you're in a hurry. Take good care and keep up the great work. Also - I'm so glad you've found a women's health PT in your area!
Omg, don’t know if you will read this, but I’m suffering with PF tension. Only 4 years doing weight lifting, I think that triggered my tension Did you come back to your weight lifting training?
Dear Dr Bri, I can’t thank you enough for helping me through what has been a very trying six weeks after having a dual pudendal nerve blocks with Botox to help relax my very tight pelvic floor unfortunately it caused a bad flare. I found your site and have done several of your exercises religiously every morning and my own Women’s Specialist Pelvic Floor Physio is thrilled with my progress and my own GP has taken your details for other patients. I will continue on my journey with you guiding me along the way. I actually experienced for the first time in years a small window of being pain free thanks to you. Cheers from Western Australia.
I saw a pelvic Physio this week and now feeling a lot better after one treatment.. Go and see one if you haven’t already. My creative energy and drive has returned too
Terrific video. I am having pelvic PT for IC, and this video is a great supplement to the stretches I was given to do at home. Your explanations are really helpful. I hope you do more on pelvic release! So glad I find your channel and website.
I was sent to this video by my doctor before I could start PT. Having incontinence due to pelvic floor spasm and severe anxiety due to a lot going on this year.It makes me feel so good, helps my lower back and I know what my pelvic floor being released feels like after I do this. It’s my new night routine to try to calm down. The first few times I didn’t really get it and couldn’t believe the comments that said this felt so good. Now I do and am doing it with PT. It feels better than my baclofen suppository. Thank you so so much
@@vibrantpelvichealth thank you! They mainly do myofascial release and work with me on reverse kegels and tension checks but told me to continue with this video on my own. She really likes it too!
Dr. Bri, thanks so much for your expertise, understanding and videos. I have pudendal nerve issues and extreme pelvic pain. Your exercises have helped immensely. Thanks so much for your time and expertise. I appreciate it!!
I have pudendal Neuralgia and had a flare. All my muscles are tight and tender and i was having constant pain. I didn’t think this was going to ease it that much, but then the final stretch where you seperate the bottom really helped! The constant pain has gone ❤️ thank you i will need to keep doing this one
I am so glad this helped you! I'm sorry that you had a pudendal neuralgia flare. This pelvic floor release is exactly what you need to help! Let me know if you have any questions or need additional help!
This is super helpful Bri! After practicing the routine for the past few weeks, I'm seeing a positive progression in symptoms and feeling much more positive again. Thanks so much xxx
@@vibrantpelvichealth I'm glad you get to read comments! It's so useful I can't believe it is free! So I've bought the book this week, received today, can't wait to read :-)
Hi Bri,. I had a radical prostatectomy 2 years ago and have always been tender in my saddle area. Yes the PT shows you how to deal with in retrain yourself to eliminate incontinence but they throw you back into the world way too soon and then you are on your own. I just tried this stretching last night and feel 50% better this morning and I did another set this morning and I can tell the difference. Thank you for putting your content out there to help others. Ron
I have a pelvic floor issue and no pain but I have difficulties in emptying the bladder and pass stool which causes bloating and hard time. By exercising the pelvic floor relaxation techniques and stretching I’m really getting better and better. I inhale deeply through the stomach and letting it reach to the pelvic floor area (you can feel it) and hold for 5 seconds and then exhale through the mouth deeply then repeating the process on and on ( better to do ot at least for 10 minutes overall). One more good technique is that I stretch the pelvic and take deep breath as the same process above and doing this for 30 seconds, it really helped alot and feel a big difference Thanks
I'm a stage IV endometriosis patient and recently had major excision surgery with a bowel resection! I was also diagnosed with moderate PFD. While I don't have much pain, I do have a lot of spasms. I see my PT twice a week and have "hired" you on the opposite days! These exercises have helped so much! Thank you!!!
Wow! I'm a 58 y/o semi-retired flight paramedic. I'm a avid hiker and thought I pulled a groin muscle. About 2-4 weeks down the road, I thought I had somehow fractured my hip. I had intense groin pain, ball and socket pain and a pain that radiated down my thigh that would wake me up at night. Forget intercourse. I thought that was a chapter for the history books! A thoughtful GYN referred me to a PT who happens, like you, to be a genius. I had never heard of a tight pelvic floor. Paramedics only think they know everything, but Physical Therapists are the real rock stars of the medical field when you have something that hurts!!! Thanks so much for posting this and calling attention to what is a real and debilitating issue with men and women. So grateful I found you!!!!
Thank you so much for making this video. It's the first routine that I've tried since learning about my pelvic floor problems, and it couldn't have been a better one. You've given me hope for restoring ease in my body.
Dr BRI I am having a flare up of my symptoms. This is my go to video when it happens. I have been crying with the pain today . As usual my pelvic floor is in pain and spasming and the pain seems to cascade up and down my rectus abdominis . I have been doing the exercises, diaphragmatic breathing , warm baths painkillers, diaphragmatic breathing. my chronic anxiety had crept back before this flare. I am wondering if this video is the best one to follow or is there a more recent one that might help me more/quicker? Very best wishes Ruth
Thank you so much.... I was facing the problem of bladder infection and lower abdominal pain..... But when I did this exercise I felt so good..... Now there's no infection and any kind of pain.... Thanks.....
I went to the doctor having issues emptying my bladder fully or at all. I had fears that I had prolapse, but was told that since I’m only 25 and no children that it is not likely. Well, I practiced this video and your updated one and the next day I was able to empty my bladder fully. I skipped the stretches the following day, pelvic ache and retention returned. I have another appointment Monday for second opinion. In the meantime this is really helping. Thank you so much. ✨
I am also a male in my 20s with pelvic floor issues. This is an issue that comes and goes for me unfortunately, but this video really helped with a flair up of mine. Thank you!
Hey, if you a male? Were you born with a vagina if so I never knew that this goes beyond a woman problem or i don't understand what you mean which makes me feel like a clueless fool.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful, long time was looking for something that makes me feel my pelvic floor again where i hold so much trauma. Especially the last strecht, amazing. Im gonna work on it
Glad it helped! If you need extra support, I have created a course to better help with pelvic pain. There is more info here: www.overcomepelvicpain.com
Dr Brie, I shared this with my son and prostate cancer recovery group. My pre-surgery sessions after I was examined focused on relaxation and breathing which surprised me. This video you shared is the bomb! Unfortunately, I had complications so am on very limited activity. Can't wait to get started started back up! Thanks for sharing this!
Thankyou so much! I have been experiencing a pain that would come and go through the years and havnt found anything other than a warm heating pad that would ease the pain and i came across this video. It made the pain go away!!
Hi Shauntelle, Could you please describe me your daily routine using these Yoga techniques and after how much time you started to notice improvement? I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
I’m a 25 year old male and have been dealing with Levator Ani for the past 3 years. Never heard or knew anything about it until I had it checked out. I do these exercises when it’s flaring up and they seem to relieve the tightness, thank you!
I am glad to hear that these stretches are helping you. If possible, I recommend visiting a local pelvic floor PT for one-on-one support. You can also check my free content for overcoming pelvic challenges. I have linked two great playlists for your needs. bit.ly/MalePainPlaylist bit.ly/femtension
I do this routine every day along with my PT sessions 1x/week and it has dramatically improved my hypertonic pelvic floor symptoms. The windshield wipers are my favorite. Thank you thank you thank you Dr Bri!
I am glad you are finding relief ! If you feel you need extra at-home support, then my Overcome program can help. You can grab the first week for free bit.ly/overcomewomenfree
Ive been feeling pain after sex and tight in my stomach. I went to many hospitals, did tests twice each with no result. They ended up just telling me to try different positions during sex. But now im seeing this and i will be sure to talk about it with my doctor. I did these stretches and i already feel better. I finally see some hope
Thank you so much! This helps me every time. This helped tremendously postpartum for me and continues to help me when I do it right before bed my pain and tension disappear. Best video thank you!
I wanted to comment and thank you for this. I'm a 33-year-old male who never thought he'd experience pelvic floor issues, and working these stretches into my routine has helped a lot. Keep up the good work :)
Ha!...with my pelvis, it's more like a fluctuating migraine that just never goes away. 😞 ... Thank you 🙏🏻for sharing this video...hoping it brings me some relief 🤞🏻
I'm a man who's been suffering bad pain due to hypertonic pelvic floor for months, and this definitely seems to have helped so I'm going to try doing these every day.
I've just finished this now and I feel such a release of my pelvic region. You have a lovely, calming aura too. Fantastic. Thank you very much for sharing this!
I really like this routine. I’m a 70 male and in very good shape. I try to do this every morning along with pelvic floor exercises for BPH. Very Nice way to start the day.
Thanks for doing this video! I've been having trouble getting my doctor to actually diagnose me with chronic pelvic pain syndrome so I could actually get help.....These exercises really helped me a lot, so again thank you so much. Also, I appreciate what you said at the end about both men and women can have these issues.... there's a huge stigma apparently whether men actually have these problems, which is why I may have to look for another doctor, I just don't know which type I should see other than a general practitioner, which makes it really difficult to actually get help....same could be said about hormone issues, as though men didn't have those either lol
David, you're right about the stigma (unfortunately)... And it's not particularly helpful that the best source of treatment for this condition is a specialty called "women's health physical therapy!" If you can find a physical therapist (physio) who specializes in women's health (or pelvic floor rehabilitation), that might be a great help for you. Good luck and I'm so glad my video has helped!
I have been suffering from vulvodynia and vaginismus since I can think coherent thoughts. These exercises helped me so much, my pelvic floor never felt so relaxed. Before, I had pain in my pelvis when I just touched my inner tights.. That's how hardened the muscles were. You've given me new hope. Thank you so much.
You're welcome!!! I'm so glad this video was helpful. Consider checking out my "at home retreat for the pelvic floor" starting tomorrow (August 15), particularly Days 1 and 2.
Hi, i had these excercises recommentded and just saw your comment. Can i ask how are you now, did these help? Or anything else. Ive seen a number of gynos over the last year as pain and burning is unbearable, also affecting thigs. Literally torture. Because of the burning they suspect vulvodynia/vestibulodynia and it feels like partial vaginismus too on the right. I am medicated with amytriptilin and gabepentin but pain still ongoing so i would be grateful for any advice, thanks lots
Wow. This was so revealing! I can do this stretch where you bring your foot over in one side, but not the other. Talk about imbalance! Looks like I need work on the tight side.
That was INCREDIBLY helpful. I'm struggling with over-recruitment of pelvic floor muscles, and your video will be a wonderful complement to my PT regiment. Thank you!
This is a very good demonstration for people with problems I applaud for the young lady's effort to make and upload this video. Also the world of meditation is truly amazing it can even revitalize a person's energy beyond an extent. Due to a meditator that taught the people on how to practice yoga he was able to help many people on different certain of places. Unfortunately I have forgotten what his name was but he was one of the enlightened conscious people in this world a guru.
This stretching not only helped my Pelvic floor feel better, I was happy to notice my walking felt more balanced, grounded and connected to the earth. Thank you!
Thanks Dr. Bri, I have followed through this video twice so far and plan to continue daily! I apparently have spastic pelvic floor muscles. I have gone through a myriad of hemorrhoid surgeries and have suffered urination problems. I can feel my pelvic floor muscles beginning to relax. Your coaching has been spot on so far. I look forward to going through and finding other useful videos!
Great video, noticed that I surely had to work on these areas since doing the exercises clearly showed me that a lot of improvement is needed. I expect having to do these exercises for a long time to see real improvement. But the same was true with yoga. Can not and would not ever do without yoga. And these exercises are just as important. Sure glad there are professionals that teach these classes.
I am a young male in my 20s diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain syndrome or chronic prostatitis and I just happened to come across your videos. These stretches really allow me to feel sensations in the pelvic floor and release to a certain degree. Hopefully it will lessen the pain if I do the stretches daily!!! Thank you so much!
Have you also tried sit baths? Fill a tub of water waist high as hot as you can tolerate. Sit in it for 15 minutes at least once per day. If you haven't tried that then do that along with these stretches. It just might cure you.
I love this video. Just started yesterday. Have had chronic pelvic pain for at least a few years. You make it so easy to follow, and the calmness of your voice helps me to relax. How many times a day should these exercises be done?
Sandra, I'm so glad you found it to be helpful! I recommend doing this routine just once per day, although you can certainly choose 1-2 favorite stretches and do them on your own, in addition to the once/day practice. Good luck!
Thank you for this!! I felt so much better after just doing this the first time. I have been experiencing pain and tightness in my pelvis for a while now after I had my babies. This made me feel so much better and helped also with my sciatica ❤️
It’s so sad how little there is known and understood about pelvic floor in both genders. After a pelvic exam, an intra-vaginal ultrasound, and various different urine tests and bloodwork I was still told that there’s “nothing abnormal.” Our health is really about listening to our intuition and believing in our bodies. My body (through self examinations, pain, discomfort, and multiple unusual feelings (fullness, pressure, strange odor, occasional burning all in vagina) has told me I have mild prolapse of my bladder and perhaps anal (cystosele, rectosele). I chosen to believe it. And as a result all of my symptoms have drastically improved. If I had’ve listened to them, my god. *_THAT_* would have been an issue. Bri you are a godsend. Much love 🙏🏾🌸💕 EDIT: P.S. I’m 25 :)
Keep listening to your intuition and to your own inner voice, Cherah! While the medical community is essential (and life-saving in many instances), we must not forget that WE are our own "first line of defense" and our own best doctors. Glad you've been able to (safely) chart your own course and see some results! Happy New Year!
please help im having difficulties with rectal parts as well. What treatments / other things did you do to help treat the discomfort? I havent defacated normally for 2 weeks now
Thank you! Male here and have had issues for years from too much tension. Not sure if this will help but it sure feels therapeutic. I will keep trying to see if it can help me. Thank you again
Thank you, Iv been popping pain meds for years now, but came across something online which led me to RUclips exercise n picked your video. Iv only done it once but it felt so good and got up feeling less tight. Will do a week of these then add on core strengthening exercises. Thank you.
You're welcome Donna! Glad you like it, and glad you'll be doing the routine with me regularly. Here's another option if you need it: ruclips.net/video/ntP8eQY74Cw/видео.html
This is wonderful. What would you recommend for people like me who have diastasis rectii with impending hernia and can't do most of these exercises but nevertheless suffer from pelvic heaviness and cramping?
It's so important for people to see that there's hope (and resources out there that can help).
did you experience HARD FLACCID}'
@@nuttylorenzana9693 No only urinary burning and SI joint pain.
Noooo, no Kegels! That's the last thing you want to do. 😮
That's amazing; thank you so much for letting me know, and thanks to your PT for recommending my work. Love and light to you on your healing journey!

Hello how do you feel right now?
@@tellagorlanaveen1637 Bro if you are cured….please help me too🙏
@@rault6374 if you are cured….please help me too🙏
Hello Dr Bri - Thank you.
God bless!
Actually it was this stretch routine that “saved” me that horrible night 2+ years ago...

Had you had constipation issue as well with tight pelvic floor? Does this medicine has any other side effects?
Thanks
Thank you so much…you have given me hope!
I couldn't agree more with everything you've said. Let's break the stigma. "Lady bits" is so awkward and patronising.
@@DanielleCrookMusicvideos with certain words can be demonitized. Educate yourself 😏
@@SGRmoss I have. The word “bladder” is demonetized, so is “healing”, and “rehab/rehabilitation” and a bunch of other benign words required to be used in pelvic floor PT videos. No one is making cutesy euphemisms for “bladder.”

Hi Bri,. I had a radical prostatectomy 2 years ago and have always been tender in my saddle area. Yes the PT shows you how to deal with in retrain yourself to eliminate incontinence but they throw you back into the world way too soon and then you are on your own. One more good technique is that I stretch the pelvic and take deep breath as the same process above and doing this for 30 seconds, it really helped alot and feel a big difference
Thanks

I had intense groin pain, ball and socket pain and a pain that radiated down my thigh that would wake me up at night. Forget intercourse. I thought that was a chapter for the history books! A thoughtful GYN referred me to a PT who happens, like you, to be a genius. I had never heard of a tight pelvic floor. Paramedics only think they know everything, but Physical Therapists are the real rock stars of the medical field when you have something that hurts!!! Thanks so much for posting this and calling attention to what is a real and debilitating issue with men and women. So grateful I found you!!!!

I will definitely check that out. Thank you!
I really like this routine. I’m a 70 male and in very good shape. I try to do this every morning along with pelvic floor exercises for BPH.
Very Nice way to start the day.
Great job!
So glad I found your channel! Very helpful and inspiring! Hoping my pelvic floor tension will one day be a thing of the past.
Thanks for your comment, Kara! I'm so glad I can be of service. You might also like my guided meditation -

Thanks doctor Bree all start to do all your videos. That all very very help ☺️☺️
I love this practice. Do you have anything for tailbone release? I have a broken tailbone and it hurts at times.
Thank you ❤
This video can be SUPER helpful for tailbone pain: ruclips.net/video/AVudWCGueEE/видео.htmlsi=dW-lu_RKawiYAtNd
Thank you so much! This helped my pelvic tension and pain. ❤️
Iamvery thankful to you, lot of improvement in my health
So thankful for YOU!
Instant relaxation and relief. Thank you
I have been suffering from vulvodynia and vaginismus since I can think coherent thoughts.
FemFusion Fitness Thank you very much for your recommendation, I'll be sure to check it out :)
This stretches exercises is really helpful and relaxing for the pelvic. Thank you!
Thank you!
WONDERFUL to hear that you're using this in conjunction with PT treatment! All my best to you!
Thank you!
WONDERFUL! That's great to hear. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Please stay tuned for my at-home retreat for your pelvic floor, coming in August. ;)
Actually such a great video really helped me out heaps I was having issues that drove me to depression I feel better now thank you so much
Thank you so much!! I have IC and I do this everytime I have pain
When we exhale do we do it from nose or mouth?
Great video, noticed that I surely had to work on these areas since doing the exercises clearly showed me that a lot of improvement is needed. I expect having to do these exercises for a long time to see real improvement. But the same was true with yoga. Can not and would not ever do without yoga. And these exercises are just as important. Sure glad there are professionals that teach these classes.
Hi D M, I'm so glad you enjoyed the routine! Thanks for letting me know, I love hearing from you guys. Shine on!
Thank you so much! I just did your video and feel SO much better! After two babies I needed this.
You're welcome! So glad you treated yourself to this great stretch break!
You're so welcome! I'm glad it's helping, keep up the great work.
Have you also tried sit baths? Fill a tub of water waist high as hot as you can tolerate. Sit in it for 15 minutes at least once per day. If you haven't tried that then do that along with these stretches. It just might cure you.
Did you recover 100%?
Thank you so much. I'm already feeling ease on my pelvic floor. Can I do this everyday?
I'm so glad! And yes, you can do this everyday. No problem! If you need a shorter routine, try this one: ruclips.net/video/Zl7DX1qBbc4/видео.html
Thankyou so much I’m having a really bad flare up at the moment and needed this!❤️
I am glad this routine worked for you!
I have vaginismus as well. And this helps a lot. Thank you!!!!
Did the exercise help?
I truly enjoyed this video I know by doing this yoga my pelvic floor is healthy again❤
Great stretch for my tight body, thanks for sharing.
I love your voice in this one....I have done it so many times. Even thought this was so long ago....your content has remained the same.... Excellent.
Thank you!!! I am so glad you have used this one and it has helped you!
Good luck!
igotgreathelp
Dude this is going into my morning ritual, thank you seriously
Thank you for this!! I felt so much better after just doing this the first time. I have been experiencing pain and tightness in my pelvis for a while now after I had my babies. This made me feel so much better and helped also with my sciatica ❤️
I'm so glad it was helpful for you! Sending love!
Mam please upload a video for patients of pelvis floor tightness and pudendal neuralgia both
It’s so sad how little there is known and understood about pelvic floor in both genders. Much love 🙏🏾🌸💕
EDIT: P.S. I’m 25 :)
Keep listening to your intuition and to your own inner voice, Cherah! While the medical community is essential (and life-saving in many instances), we must not forget that WE are our own "first line of defense" and our own best doctors. Glad you've been able to (safely) chart your own course and see some results! Happy New Year!
FemFusion Fitness Yes! Thank you Bri, Happy New Year to you too!
hi ,may I know what else you are doing apart from this exercise to improve your condition? your inputs will be very much appreciated.thank you.

Thank you! Male here and have had issues for years from too much tension. Not sure if this will help but it sure feels therapeutic. I will keep trying to see if it can help me. Thank you again
You're welcome, I certainly hope it helps!
I’ve been doing these exercises everyday usually when I have terrible pelvic pain. Thank you so much!!!!!!
I am so glad to hear that the video has helped you with your pelvic pain! That is what it is for! 💜
Thank you, Iv been popping pain meds for years now, but came across something online which led me to RUclips exercise n picked your video. Iv only done it once but it felt so good and got up feeling less tight. Will do a week of these then add on core strengthening exercises. Thank you.
I hope it helps, Dawn! All my best.
Thanks so much. My Dr hadn't recommended any exercises yet. I was doing some of these because it felt good. Now I have a routine to follow.
You're welcome Donna! Glad you like it, and glad you'll be doing the routine with me regularly. Here's another option if you need it: ruclips.net/video/ntP8eQY74Cw/видео.html
Thank you from a 49 year old man. Wonderful stretches and guidance.
You're very welcome!
Beautiful routine thank you !!!
This is wonderful. What would you recommend for people like me who have diastasis rectii with impending hernia and can't do most of these exercises but nevertheless suffer from pelvic heaviness and cramping?
I would recommend seeing a local pelvic floor PT for individualized guidance. In the meantime, you can check my DR videos.
Can this help recovery from vulvodynia. Got it after infections then guarding to much.
Yes, this can help release the tension from too much guarding. I hope you find it to be beneficial for your condition!
