Trimmers aren’t meant to take down bulk. They are made to do line ups and to do small detail work.

The instincts are great for taking out bulk. I really only use them for that when i wanna use my regular comb to be more detailed. But they can for sure be used for clipper over comb and balding and not be harmed in any way.

That hair on the temple area is so much lighter and easy to remove than the hair on the back of the head… this is kind of a flawed test.
Yea that's what i thought too , he should of jumped to the other side before getting too far to the back
The instinct is good to remove bulk. The Hi Viz is a liner more then a bulk remover due to the thin black static blade.
Exactly Been rocking both. Detailers will still leave incredible line, but hi viz has them on fine work
I dont care about taking out bulk ...how clean and crisp line do they do!!? Bulk i can take that down with clippers...
Just adjust your cutting blade, they all will make a crisp line the only difference is how you set them
Don't you have problems running the foil shaver over stubble when using the clippers to remove bulk? That's why I used trimmers to bald out because it gets shorter and makes it easier on the foil shaver.

I have the flex and the instinct I love both but I've been using the instinct more for balding and to me it's more of a work horse then the flex. But the flex is 🔥 I see people hating on the instinct trimmer but as of now its my go to trimmer.
The original Wahl Cordless detailer Li is better then the black version , I have both and it a big difference .

Detailler look the best
I find myself always coming back to this video. Which one do YOU prefer and why? I just got the instinct and while I love the power, I'm not a fan of deep tooth blades. I feel like it just gives more space for the hair to go in before actually getting cut, so imo for lining up it's better to not have a deep tooth. I'm thinking about switching the blade out on it.
I agree, i really think the Xpro and one blade cutter are the best of all blades right now. I never had much luck with the deep tooth blades either

What is the best recommendation?
I'd say flex trimmer. It comes gapped out of the box (at least mine did), it's sharp on edges, bulks out good, has a decent battery life, & charges fairly quick as well. Plus it's the cheapest & lightest in weight out of the bunch. I have all of the latest & greatest trimmers & I still go to the flex. It does heat up a bit when you first get it but you need to break it in. Once you break in the flex the less it heats up & works better.

@@vladankostevski5749 my favorite is the new Cyborg but I sharpened the blade really sharp & gapped it really close so I only use it on the difficult line ups so I stay with the flex mostly. But it's a solid trimmer. If I had to pick one, based price, performance, quality, & weight, I'd say nothing can beat it considering.
My detailers bald out upward all day and I’m bustin out fresh ass fades in 15 minutes or less allllllll day. It’s not the tools it’s the barber homie!!!

None of these are amongst the top like JRL ff2020t, cyborg, and snapfx. Instinct is only good I would say bc of its higher rpm’s for lines and designs w/ the right blade. This is not mentioning tpob.
