I loved this video! We are heading to Italy between Christmas and New Year, and we will be spending a few days in Venice. This was informative and authentic. Going to check out the rest of your videos!

Also, now that I watched this, we will definitely go on a gondola. I wasn't sure before, but you convinced me! We will have to choose a time with good weather though.

Thanks guys 🙂 Enjoy Italy! Where else are you guys going there? And yeah the gondola ride is definitely pricey but if you're only going to be there once you might as well do it! Hope you guys have an amazing trip!

The Gondola ride is absolutely worth it for the experience of it. A few times but not all the time. Watch Rick Steves' video of how the Gondola is made. Such craftsmanship! Your video is well done. New sub.

Such a gorgeous place, visited there around 5 years ago, but it was very very busy, nice to watch your vlog where it looks so chilled well on the first day atleast hehe, some lovely and yummy foods! Expensive for the gondola...but i suppose it's the experience :D very romantic definitely. Enjoyed watching very much so, those quiet streets and the square is incredible! Thanks for sharing!

Yes it was definitely busy but amazing the difference on some of the side streets where there's seemingly no one.
It was a cool experience for sure but we've done it once which is good enough 😂
It's a gorgeous city though, glad you enjoyed the video 🙂

    Absolutely its silly money.
We went as a group so you could do the Gondola with 6 onboard which was obviously cheaper but we did neither.
    Way too touristy for us
The Vaparettos are way more fun mixing with the locals and a rover ticket is a fraction of the price.
St Marks square at 7 in the morning is so more relaxing.
Our hotel was across from the station so really handy.
    Another great vlog guys .
Nice to see you making the most of your time in England and exploring Europe.
Unlike many US service personel at Lakenheath who virtual stay on base for nearly their whole posting.
Perhaps you Canucks are more adventurous .
    Have fun guys

It was definitely expensive. Glad we did it once but probably wouldn't do it again if we went back.
We've definitely been enjoying our time but need to see more of the UK. We're heading to Dorset in a few weeks so we can't wait to check it out!

Sunset would be lovely but it's 100 euros for the gondola compared to 80 if you go during the day. It was still quite nice during the day so I'd probably save the 20 euros!

Congratulations, you look like you're having a great trip.
Can I ask, are you doing all the stuff you genuinely want to do or are you following others' suggestions?
Having been to Venice about 20 times, I can tell you regarding your gondola ride. If you'd like to save money, perhaps consider sharing the ride with up to 4 other people. Alternatively, take il traghetto, similar to a gondola only you stand as you cross il canal Grande.
If you take the time to talk with il gondogliere, you may be lucky to get a sunset hour for the 80 euro.
    Keep up the excitement.

@@meijienmiller9928 you can pre-book but it is more expensive. The price is fixed so you're better off to buy on site. Just make sure you have cash as it is cash only!

Hi! I love your video! My friends and I are planning to go to Venice and contemplating on riding the gondola or not but after watching your video it looks amazing! I have a question though does the gondola need to be booked online or do we need to pay the gondolier 80 euro cash?

    • @OKintheUK
      @OKintheUK  Год назад

Glad you enjoyed it! You can book them online but it's more expensive so you're better off to do it in person. There are gondoliers everywhere so you won't have trouble finding one! I'd recommend going a bit further away from St. Mark's Square and the main canals though as the ride will be much more scenic! Hope you have a great trip!

    • @OKintheUK

There were options online but they were all quite a bit more expensive. The price is set by the local government so I'd be cautious if you're seeing options that are significantly cheaper
