The balls on this man’s heart for not shattering when literally no one clapped once the cars were revealed
Bro he must have felt so awkward when no one clapped
It’s sad that are future generations won’t be able to experience a American muscle car
That's not true, we still have the used market luckily
@@Justin_GFM Buying a used Scat or hellcat even now is risky at best, with the way people abuse these cars I cant imagine what they’ll be like years and years from now😂
@@idontlikeu5978 well I mean try and find a 70 Charger, that might give you an idea 😂
Very sad indeed that all American muscle cars are being replaced by these oversized ev golf carts things are never gonna to be the same!...😒😒😒...😔😔😔....
@@idontlikeu5978 it'll be harder to find, people aren't letting these cars go and certainly not for cheap, 6 figures easy for all hellcat trims and scat packs will be hitting the 65k barrier if not already.
Can you imagine a true enthusiast who just had to tell everyone you won’t be able to buy an awesome car with a myriad of V8’s and then have to act excited about yet another small SUV that blends into the sea of other boring SUV’s littering the highway.
Some days you just have to hate going to work.
100 percent, we just saw epic levels of cringe the day after kicking a 16 year loyal fanbase in the nuts.
This isnt dodge. Its just fiat with a mustache. Its a joke
Idk tho I like these too. They aren’t V8 but they made them pretty cool and fun with good power output for the class. Plus AWD I’m sure they will be fun little cars.
I did the math and the GLH based on my math sounds like about 350hp so probably around scat pack torque maybe. Plus they look fairly good, at least imo.
@@MrEvilTag Its Stellantis now.
They are rated at best 6.2 zero to 60 that’s the 45k model. Good luck with that!

This the one ☝🏾
That confirms it, won’t be getting rid of my destroyer gray Charger Daytona. Just a 5.7 but a whole lotta fun, and I’ll never get tired of hearing that Hemi roaring down the street. Hopefully tomorrow isn’t a let down…
Good, keep it if you can please, one day you’ll sit back in look at it with more pride then anything
They're producing one more year of Chargers and Challengers and then they're getting rid of them 😥
It’s the Dodge Dart all over again lol
What the dart should have been.
I thought that too when he said 1.3T 😬 hopefully they learned from that lesson lol
Aw come on. Give it a chance.
Still loving my 2013 dart I bought new, still running great
NO SUCH LUCK.
At least they did not make the challenger into a crossover suv and call it the challenger EV or something dumb like that. They created a new name badge and used nostalgia in the right way. The GLHs were 4 cylinder cars. So this works. Not every car will be for everybody. But this is pretty cool
Don’t take that sigh of relief yet, they still have one more day to announce the Challenger CUV EV
ChallengerE CUV UV with UV Protection
Cool? Wrong. This thing is definitely not cool looking. Zero chance folks will be “wanting” a super fast golf cart. If they have to get it, fine, but nobody will be sitting around talking about one day owning a Hornet.
It’s not a new name badge, Chrysler bought AMC in the 80s and AMC made the the Hornet which later became the gremlin
Nah, the GLH name should be reserved for the cars modified by Carroll Shelby. This is more like a kick in the nuts to GLH fans.
Im sorry for your loss.
Dodge Avenger, Caliber, Chrysler 200 and now this
Forgot the nitro
And the Dart
Underwhelming would be an understatement.
All that hype for a Kia Soul minus the hamsters
Yep! Kia and Toyota, watch out.

It just looks like a dart that has had an allergic reaction to a hornet sting. Hopefully there is a actual proper muscle car coming. I don't care if the future of dodge is electric or not. I just don't want a future full of uninspiring suv and cross overs that blend in with city traffic.
The original dodge teaser trailer for the electric muscle car had the body of a muscle car. Perhaps you could even say it’s similar to the outgoing Challenger. They’ll keep muscle cars in the lineup, electric or not

Yes, I'll buy the car if it's possible to cram a v8 6.2L in there somehow.🙃🙃
VERY underwhelmed by this… I’ll keep my Durango ❤️🔥
I was disappointed by this, they blew peoples minds with the hellcat in 2015, now they are making the things the average car enthusiast hates most, small 4 cylinder crossovers and evs that only go 200 miles, well that is my view on this
I love that dodge is coming back to the turbo market, especially with a glh tribute. But the hornet looks like a Mazda with a nice bumper.
😅🤣😂🤣😅
@@q6053 Well the small Mazda's are pretty good looking cars/suvs so that's not a bad thing...I just don't think people were waiting to her about this Hornet. Depending on the standard equipment the entry level 30K model might actually be a good value by today's standard...even though Tim doesn't want you to think about value...its attitude. The GLH better hit 0-60 in under 6 seconds or its a waste of the label.
@@rocko107me8 the GT which starts under 30k hit 0-60 in 6.5 sec. the R/T shave off 1 sec. (5.5sec) so the GLH might be 4.5 to 5 sec. Just have to wait an see.

Underwhelming, but it makes perfect sense, based on the direction of the market. I see this selling, not with Mopar-heads, but regular consumers who care about reliability and looks.
Dodge and reliability are two words that typically never share the same sentence
True. Personally I find the car harmless I just don't like the direction dodge is going with this looks like they're gonna turn into the next Mitsubishi.
Yep, Arizona Wine Mom customer base.
realistically it’s just a new version of the jeep renegade, compass and cherokee.
@@diavontepele-clark8181 if you look closely it’s basically got the front end of a wide body charger just altered and smaller. The back seems like a mix of Charger and the Chrysler Airflow concept.

I wish they made R/T’s with whipples as a last run also that would be super bad and sales would out the door bust the banks Because i guarantee you a lot of people would buy them
I'm guessing this is the way to compete with the Scape,Equinox,Blazer and small suvs, but it's still disappointing.
Exactly that. A very competitive and full market place that is price sensitive.
Far superior over their last crossover.. the Journey
I feel they would do pretty good, if and only if they are reliable, for example de blazer has had pretty horrible reliability as well as the equinox, but I feel the small engine might not work very well for that
@@sco-hy8yl idk about the 1.3 he talked about, but the 2.0 hurricane has been reliable in the Jeep Cherokee and Wrangler so far. Just the usual brand problems with the uconnect radio and such
It’s a nice looking SUV, but I’ll forever be a Durango fan
People that don't see this as a business, and a model that will allow them to continue making the cars we love, are completely missing the point. This thing will keep Dodge going as they transition to replacements for the Charger and Challenger, instead of gasping for air under the weight of all the emissions fees.
They can’t sell Fiat and Alphas as it is when placed at dealerships. So put the Dodge badge on one and see what happens…
Exactly.
Yeah a lot of these ppl are getting annoying, the Hornet isn't bad and they made a point to use the GHL name instead of SRT. The death of the Hemi is obviously upsetting, but an new smaller SUV just makes sense. I'm speechless in a bad way. 😐
They're a business. It only makes sense for them to join into the fastest growing segment. Remember, the hellcats, scats, and rt's aren't what has made dodge the money. The massive sales of v6's make the production of those high powered cars possible. It's the way the car world is going.
If mofos like me don't buy the large V8's and Redeyes to allow the V6 look alike to have something to look forward to then they would have gone belly up. There's a balance to be maintained.
V6's only sell because of the hype around the high power v8's and image. Not the other way around remember that
Exactly.
Lol uninformed you are 🤣
Not something I’m personally fond of or would drive, but I can always appreciate an addition to the lineup. Let’s see how it is when it’s on the road.
Exactly.. I’m old school Mopar/Dodge and anything electric is not inspiring to me. Yet, evolving for the younger generation..
where the cars you can look back at and be proud to own the keys to
Finally the return of the most underrated performance name GLH
Man wish they would make a two door convertible wide body charger!
You know what, I apologize. If you mean the old Chargers I can see it not the newer 2000's or later though
It drops 2023 haven’t you seen instagram?
I just want them to bring back the RAM RT
Same as the Alfa Romeo Tonale body… but that’s FCA! Everyone sharing the same stuff to maximise profit with part swapping. Sad but they all do this now. Nice car for about town singles/small families etc. Can’t get it in NZ but they do sell Alfa here…. occasionally
p.s….. can Dodge please stick it to the EV trend and build a muscle car with the 1970s body shape of the charger with the massive v8 Helephant engine and sell it globally. I’d sell my kidneys for that and probably my soul too!
Props for using GLH instead of SRT, that at least is a moniker that has pedigree with the segment (not to say the SRT Neon didn’t). Hopefully the announced numbers and performance will at least modestly earn the badge.
Still, this was an otherwise woefully predictable event. These are fairly standard entries, with uninspired looks filling an obvious blank spot in their lineup. The presenter had a tough job today.
Don't think people realize how tough the car market is. I really hope they speak on what will be replacing the challenger and charger.
I did the math and the GLH based on my math sounds like about 350hp so probably around scat pack torque maybe.
Nope, this is an embarrassment to the GLH name. Shelby is rolling in his grave right now.
I have a 2016 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack model. The exhaust note from the V8 is unmistakable and speaks of power. The Charger looks fast and is fast. These Hornets don't look fast even if they are fast. This is the modern day station wagon. Reminds if of how many guys bought the Dodge Magnum thinking they were getting a muscle car only to realize a few months after they bought it they actually now owned a station wagon.
Definitely going for that soccer mom segment, no "car enthusiasts" where excited about any of these. I mean it looks like a good car but the muscle car is dead. Couple more years and it'll all be ugly electric boxes. Atleast Ford still keeping the V8 and manual ... for now
7th gen mustang is the last gas powered mustang. we at most have 8-9 more years
@@StockCarGuy That's sad.

i've driven Chrysler products all my life. My 2019 Challenger 392 T/A looks to be my last. I guess all things must come to an end.
Golf cart time! .... 😩
Just keep it! I kept the first car I bought in 1973 when I was 17...a 1970 AAR 'cuda... until just last Nov. right after Thanksgiving. Yup had it 48 years. Sold it and bought a '21 Scat Pak Challenger. A guy from Australia bought it. And yes made a few more dollars than I paid for it....
My sentiments exactly.
Love my T/A 392, dislike style and I don’t want my compact Ute to be fast because I bought CrossTrek for economy, safety, and to let kids drive.
The fact that Ford is still keeping a V8 with a stick option for the S650 generation is enough to say they won this generation, this is just terrible. I doubt tomorrow's presentation will be enough to satisfy people too

The Hornet is just a shot in the arm that Dodge needs to keep funds up so they can successfully do what your comment suggests.
@@Matt-fo9ut Not saying that you’re wrong though they had a solid four years to come up with a way to do so. And they’ve sold more than enough Chargers and Challengers in the last seven years to produce them. This just doesn’t make any sense because they could’ve just made them hybrids like everyone has with their sedans and coupes. Sporty CUVs are only appealing to girls and women and though sounds very sexist lol smh they’re not the driving force behind dodge success these past seven years. So to say that this CUV is going to keep up funds is very unlikely.
@@SSJ_Glohan I guess we'll just have to check back in maybe 2024 (it's first full sales year). Cause if you see what the newer cars on the road are that people are buying, it's probably some small crossover, if not a Challenger or Charger.
While Tim is obviously using buzzwords and 'hip' language, I would not bet against this eventually getting loads of buys from younger people looking to obtain something fresh from the factory to lot.
Hemi heads will not give one about this crossover, but for a casual..well, what's a better under 35k crossover choice than the one made by the same guys that make the hecking Challenger? Screw Toyota and Hyundai at that point, that's probably what they'll be thinking.
It's just looks to be a strong start for their new era, I just wish they could've scooped up something other than that beautiful Alfa to badge engineer. Although why it had to happen like this anyway is probably well connected to why they couldn't have just replaced Hemis with electrified 6 cylinder muscle cars for a next generation.
Can it be possible ... Dodge is bringing back my beloved Caliber?!!? And a hybrid version?!!? Be still my heart - my prayers are answered!
Lmao at the drones just buzzing in the back ground lol
Dodge will sink like a stone now!
Introducing a new, powerful (relative to the competition) model to the fastest growing auto segment will sink them? Remember, the hellcats, scats, and rt's aren't what makes dodge the money. It's the high volume sales of the v6's that make those models possible.
You're right. Dodge is doomed
Come on. I love the Hemi, but I do understand moving onto different power trains. But I was really hoping that Dodge would have seen how well the modern muscle was selling and try to REALLY introduce this sort of hybrid setup to a muscle style build
Huge missed opportunity for hybrid v8s. They really could have made dual motor R/Ts and scat packs, tri motor hellcats, and quad motor redeyes/super stocks/jailbreaks. All of them hybrid. Imagine the insane amounts of power they could make. Plus add this to the big boy sema model, 1000 hp guaranteed if it were to be quad motor. That would have been so much cooler
@@fadedsoul23 that would have been cool. Even simply a TRUE RT with that Power Shot from an E-axle would’ve been sick.
I also feel like the Hornet, like the Mach-E mustang were good ideas on paper that flopped like a wet noodle upon execution. There is a lot of performance to be had in electric vehicles. Instant torque and all. But there is no aggressive designs. They leaned too far into the “what’s selling hot” mentality and didn’t at all go with aggressive performance or styling. The new Hornet looks just like a Mazda SUV from the side. Shouldn’t given it a lower stance, maybe leaned more toward a hatchback style sedan than SUV/crossover. Been more aggressive with the lines. But it just feels all too tame for the Dodge that has been since the early days of SRT and especially in most recent years when they really pushed the limits of factory power and styling
@@lostmancampground a hybrid hemi would have been so cool. Especially if it was a full hybrid, not just the button and boost, so you get to use that electric motor whenever. However I gotta disagree about the hornet, yea it might have been underwhelming but I see what most probably don’t, tuning potential. Modify that four cylinder with cams, exhaust, turbo, forged internals, etc and for the electricity, bigger motor and batteries and make it work with the stock technology like the powershot and stuff. The hornet could definitely use the help of the aftermarket
I do agree with the lack of design however, could have been a bit more aggressive considering it’s called HORNET, as for the whole thing, yea they need to fall back asleep metaphorically, trying to be woke isn’t the best of moves or at least the way they are doing it. If I was Tim and I wanted to be woke I’d do it right. For example, oh there’s new emissions laws, let’s update the hemi to be a hybrid and boost the power but increase efficiency at the same time. Or go the alt fuel route. Then I’d offer the ev car along side them, not as a replacement and I definitely wouldn’t call it e muscle, maybe just a sports car. A hybrid hemi would be e muscle. I’d also make a diesel hemi and make it emissions complaint with hybridization and see if that’ll get around def systems and stuff, if not I’ll keep the systems but it’ll be hybrid regardless. This diesel hemi would be a new block entirely, perhaps starting the 4th gen hemi of fuel agnostic engines. I’d take multiple technologies like flex fuel, variable compression, variable valve timing/vtec, twin charging (working in tandem or with a clutch to disengage the SC when the turbo is spooled I haven’t decided which yet, probably in tandem) either spark plug controlled compression ignition or a system that’ll let the engine switch between glow and spark plugs (or develop a plug that can change modes to do both, either way this will work with the flex fuel system to change them to whatever mode needed), etc and put that into these fuel agnostic engines so there wouldn’t be a need to build 5 or more different valvetrains and stuff for each engine. As for the diesel hemi, that’s a strictly Diesel engine with hybridization. There could also be a jet fuel version since Diesel engines can technically run that
Right hybrid V8s would make so much sense, idk why they just didn't do that to keep the V8 muscle alive
The Hornet is exciting news! I'm actually excited to take those for a spin! Note: Mothball the big V8's for now if you must, but don't scrap the data. Picture this - It won't be long, and gas will be dirt cheap. As electric (coal powered) vehicles flood the highways, the demand for gasoline drops. The supply is still a plenty. Food for thought...
They need hybrid hemis and alt fuel engines
