@@smallfarminnovations4265 I have an Ibex. Most of the time we have clogs when the bale is just getting started and we hit longer grass. Once the bale is going, it’s not nearly as much of an issue.
The China Made IBEX is a copy if the Japanese built STAR (now IHI) model 850. The cam geometry on the pickup is the same as those balers built in the late 80s to early 90s It basically causes a restriction until a bale gets formed to help pull the hay into the baler. Long material can be a miserable experience.
That is definitely our experience with it. What would you recommend to improve the issue? (Aside from buying a tractor with a 25+HP PTO to be able to run one of these machines)
@@bibletrueorfalse Either switch balers or live with it. Our IHI MRB 855 units bale 200 bales / hour. I have a electric twine wrap unit from Takakita (RB511) that will be here in April or May. It will bale 120 bales/ hour. Twine balers take 5-8 revolutions to wrap where net is two or three revolutions to wrap.(less waiting time on the baler) Our Takakita 3X3 RB911NSF can be powered with a 25hp tractor all day long.
That looks very well built!
Finally! Something that the little tractors can lift and carry!
This is important. Do the balers come ready to use ??? Or does one have to assemble it ???
the baler comes fully assembled, you have to attach the power supply to a 12 volt source on your tractor.
What were you spraying on the rollers for the IHI baler? I'm having a clogging issue that could definitely be avoided if it had better grip.
What Kind of baler do you have?
