I love that you’re ok with tablets! I love watching a movie with everyone in the tent after a long day or let’s be honest sometimes camping can be a little boring.
Love your family rules! So glad I found your channel. You have been a blessing as we try to prepare to purchase a pop up and start more family camping memories. Excited to buy your camping journal! Thank you for your videos. God bless your sweet family 🤍
Great vid, Thank you for sharing. We do so enjoy your straight forward approach to structure within your Family dynamic. We were not Blessed with children, ( therefore our children have been of the furry type). Your attitude is everything, 44 years of marriage has taught us to be mindful of each other's feelings. We always say Please, & Thank you, when asking for anything. I also enjoy the fact that your Faith is ever present in your everyday lives. Such a Blessing to hear in the environment we all live in today. We look forward to your next vid. Bless you both, and your beautiful children, and Bless our Popup Family.
We have one kiddo who is 5, and we just bought our Flagstaff this year. We love the 3 rules & try to keep to those too. Our favorite trip this year was to Endless Caverns here in VA. Just steps to hiking & a cavern tour.
Hey guys! We are from the Peoria area and we have 4 kids too! Ages 20,17,15,13. We have been long time tent campers and just bought our first pop-up for the 2021 season. Our oldest doesn’t camp with us anymore, but our other 3 still so. The 17 and 13 year old are die hard tent campers, so they do the tent thing still. The 15 year old is the only one to share the camper with us. We also store all the dry goods in the vehicle and one of our camping rules is that you have to ask to get a snack. Our kids are older so it’s not as big of a deal as it used to be. The vehicle is also the time-out location. It gives them time alone to decompress and it’s a private place to chat about expected behavior. Love your videos especially when you go somewhere we have been or plan to go.
I'm about to start camping with my one-year-old and I'm pretty nervous. I feel like I'm over preparing but I would rather not be in the situation where the trip is "ruined" because we forgot an essential item. I think we'll do a few test nights in the driveway before we really head out. And be close enough to home where we can bail on the trip if things go south. Good tip about the reflectix and the booster seat to keep them away from the campfire.
Thank you for your tips! We are starting our family camping trips soon and I'm so excited! Our kids are 8 years old and we always have a fun time together. We also do snack time at 10 & 3. I need to get better at pre planning meals though LOL!
You guys have camped in my area. I'm outside Marion, IL. NEVER EVER tent camped, cabin camped once as a kid. My kids are 9, 6, 3 and 2. But, I'm wanting to give them those memories.
I (Rachel) did not grow up camping at all but have obviously fallen in love with it. It's a great experience for the whole family, and we have actually had multiple people tell us that they have noticed kids that camp have more skills like making friends, independence, and more. ... And we love the Shawnee! Been there a couple times. 💗
@@AdventuresinPopUps How sweet is that to know!! That's what I'm wanting for them. I'm going to try this and hopefully with some planning, I will be successful. Thank you, and keep the videos coming. You guys are really sweet 🤗
We had 5 kids but now we have 10 Grand kids so we take the grand kids camping fun fun but we have a good time until one of the granddaughter broke her arm last spring

@@Brezooka sometimes kids wake up too early and there’s no way to keep them quiet, too. 🤪

Great to hear from you! 👋🏼 Great idea having time outs in the vehicle (for older kids). We have used the vehicle for a doggie time out before. 😆
Our son would love to camp more. These are great tips!
