Molly’s Disney bucket list series is going to be so amazing to follow. Tours like this are such hidden gems that most don’t think about when they’re all about the rides and attractions. This one especially is so unique and personal!
I‘m 68 and last year on a solo trip I did my own 4 park challenge. I rode a ride, ate a snack, met a character , did a photopass photo and bought a souvenir. So much fun and I was so proud of myself :0)
My partner and I did this on our adults only vacation in November. It was honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had at Disney. We had the DVC discount, so it was a little cheaper, but I would have paid full price. It was an incredible experience. And just as an FYI, when they weigh you, it's on a little screen only the person can see and they don't tell you what the number is, even if you ask. 😂
My wife and I brought our teenage boys on this in 2016. We did the trek at 8 am. Being able to walk into AK before it open and have 10-15 mins alone in front of the Tree was amazing. So worth it.
I did a Caring For Giants tour a few weeks ago with Dominic that took us backstage to a private viewing area to get up close with the elephants, and it was amazing. I was hoping to do this tour but it wasn't available on my AK day.
My husband and I did this and then My husband took my daughter on this for her 12th birthday. They were the only 2 doing it. The amount of photos and times people spent with there were amazing. Since they were the only 2 cast member on the reserve came over and gave them extra facts. This is so worth every penny
I'm so excited for this new series! In reality we probably won't ever get to do these extra "fancy items" but watching Molly get to experience them will be a close second.
Love this idea for a series! Would enjoy seeing you do Victoria and Alberts, the La Cava tequila tasting experience, a full day VIP tour, swimming with the dolphins, or scuba!
Love this new series!! It’s so much fun to see Molly so happy and to live vicariously through her, lol! My suggestion for a future episode: a stay at Polynesian Village bungalows? A relaxing staycation at possibly the best hotel room on Disney property? Have a relaxing view of the MK fireworks while in your private plunge pool, and perhaps a few trips over to your favorite food spots at the resort. What do you think??
This is now on my bucket list! I had to laugh when Molly said crocodiles (alligators I assume as well) terrify her when she lives in a state where they are pretty much in every lake and stream!
We did this in 2014. SO MUCH FUN!!! And totally worth the cost. The bridge was fun and just a touch challenging. My mom and aunt are not very active at all, but managed the course just fine. We got to spend tons of time on the safari. My aunt is obsessed with giraffes so they made sure we stopped and watched the giraffes for about 15-20 min. The lions were really playful when we drove through (a rare site) so we got to stop and watch them for a bit. The food was good. They even had a kids version of the food (less adventurous) that anyone could request. We got so many great pictures. Included in the price. The guides were wonderful, didn’t rush us, and were really informative.
We were on the Wild Aftrica Trek tour and I can confirm that they are not forcing the animals. The hippos on our tour were not interested in feeding so we waited a little bit and went on to the next stop. This tour was amazing and this video made us to try doing it again on our next visit. Assante Sana Club for the nostalgia :)
I did this in 2017 with my granddaughter. We absolutely loved it. We had a wonderful cast member taking us around. A brunch was provided out on the savanna featuring African cuisine. Got to see many animals up close.
I honestly don't have much of a Disney World bucket list, but I'll share three things from my Disneyland bucket list I've had the privilege to check off: I've taken a "grand circle tour" in the Lilly Belle Presidential Train Car, I've piloted the Mark Twain Riverboat, and I got to tour the Dream Suite above Pirates of the Caribbean as part of the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour. I think the only other things on my DL bucket list are to tour Walt's Main Street apartment and book a VIP tour with my friends (well, and meet Darkwing Duck, but the last time he was out was during 90s Night at Disneyland).
Molly! I love how excited you are for these experiences even after being immersed in the Disney space for over 10 years! You look so beautiful and happy in this video. ❤
We did this one year on Thanksgiving Day. It was a great way to have a private experience during one of the busiest park days. The peace we experienced and the memories that last a lifetime were priceless. On our last trip, we did the Caring for Giants tour. That was a shorter experience, but equally magical. We enjoyed the private time viewing the elephants and learned so much! I think you should do the Rhino tour, because it was sold out our entire trip!
We did the Up Close with Rhinos Tour in December 2022 and it was fantastic! We didn't just get close, we actually got to walk up to the bars, reach through and pet Dugan, the adult male rhino! The only issue - which may impact whether Molly can include this tour in her Bucket List Series - is that unlike the Wild Africa Trek, pretty much the entire Rhino tour is "behind the scenes," so no cameras are allowed. At the very end of the tour, they have a prop with the name of the rhino you got to meet that you can hold and they'll use your camera to take your picture with that. (One nice bonus - you get to keep your name tag, which features a drawing of a rhino by Joe Rohde.)
@@trerock awesome! I really wanted to touch a rhino - but they limit that tour more. What a great memory for you! I agree - that could be a tough one for filming. Maybe we can do it on our next trip.
LOVED this tour-we did it several years ago when they were running a HUGE cast member discount when daughter was on DCP-still one of BEST experiences EVER.
We did this last year and loved every minute of it. I just told my husband the only thing that could have been better is if you were in our touring group lol. Thanks for all you do Molly…we met you once at Magic Kingdom and our twin 8 year old girls still talk about!
Yay! This is on my bucket list too! I love seeing how excited Molly is. 😍 🦒🦒🦒 It’s as awesome as I thought it would be… so worth it! Happy Sunday, MamFam! 🎉
I would love to see the three of you do dinner with an Imagineer if that offering ever comes back. It used to be something that was offered regularly but I'm not sure it's come back since the closures.
I love this new series. I never knew this was something you could do in DAK. While I don't know that I will ever want to use my precious DAK time & money on a tour like this, I love learning about it and I love that Molly took us along on her experience! Can't wait to see what's next on the Bucket List!
I just did this tour last week and it was AMAZING! If anyone has the chance, do it! Great guides, great food, great experiences! You will be very well taken care of.
This brings me back to memories of my bush walks when I was working/studying in South Africa for several months. Can't wait for more content like this !
I went on this on my very first Disney trip last year, totally worth it. Ashely and Patrick were my amazing guides and I love the photos that came with it. Asante Sana.
Hi from Cincinnati, where we ❤️❤️❤️our hippos! Fiona the miracle hippo (has repeatedly been voted our #1 citizen), and her new surprise brother Fritz are both Bibi’s…..who was born at Animal Kingdom! This is now on my bucket list too!!!
Thank you Molly for doing this excursion. I have wanted to do this for so long. Animal kingdom is my favorite park!!!! Molly you make the best videos!!!!
Thank you for doing these videos Molly. I live in London, been to Orlando 3 times before but it’s always been with friends and family. Seeing how much enjoyment you get from the parks on days without Max and Alan has given me the confidence to go to Orlando alone next May (I think that’s a good time to go in terms of weather/crowd level?) I was hesitant to go alone (bit sad ain’t it?!) but watching you has given me a completely different perspective. Now I’m looking forward to being in complete control of what I want to do and where I want to do it. Thank you. (Sorry to say this but as a proud Londoner, a tiny part of my soul dies every time you do an English accent in the wizarding world, I promise you not everyone in England sounds posh!)
Thank you for that experience. As a person with mobility issues, I don't see myself ever going on this tour so thank you for the sneak peak! I love Kilimanjaro Safari at AK.
Omg! I had no idea something like this existed at AK. When my son is old enough, totally bringing him in this! Also, I LOVE the idea of a Disney bucket list! Can’t wait for more!
This tour is definitely on my bucket list. But since my next visit is with a friend who's never been to WDW we probably just visit the theme Parks. Maybe the Spanish Mosaic Art Workshop or Behind the Seeds. Have you ever done one of these experiences? Thanks for all the informative but fun videos and I'm looking forward to your next video!
Molly is my spirit animal! I watched an untold amount of hours of Molly videos when I was preparing for my bucket list Disneyworld trip! Now I get to start all over with this series! Not to mention as a cali local, she teaching me about my local parks! Thank you!
My family just did this last week. Would've been cool to be on the same tour as Molly! I didn't go with them, so this was neat to see the full experience in addition to all the pictures and stories.
Always wanted to see you do this experience, as it's been on my bucket list too and was curious to see what it's like! You've convinced me to do it on my next solo trip :)
I did this on my first trip to WDW. And we have done it each time since. Its worth it every time! Would love to see your group do a private VIP tour. We did it and went to all 4 parks and did 14 rides... Would love to see how you guys would tackle that one!
Jambo Molly!!! My daughter and I did the Wild Afrika Trek several years ago and absolutely loved it!!! Although it is expensive, it is one of those experiences that was worth every cent to us and we would probably do it again since we are fans of animals and Animal Kingdom. I am glad that you had a great time!
Thank you so much for doing this, Molly! These tours and excursions cost a lot of money for a family of four, so I appreciate getting to see firsthand what they entail so I can decide whether they are worth our time and money. (This one definitely looks like it is, and I will be looking into booking it for our June trip.) I highly recommend trying out the Starlight Safari at AKL. We did that back in 2019 when we were staying there and LOVED it. Also, do they still have Dolphins in Depth at Epcot? My husband and I did that on our honeymoon a bazillion years ago.
Thank you for doing this video! The Wild Africa Trex is on my to do list for a future Disney trip. My family stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge last summer. We did the Starlight Safari tour at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was one of our highlights of our vacation. The animal keepers at the lodge are the tour guides. They are very knowledgeable about the animals. You ride around the different savannas on a safari truck. They give you night vision monocles to see the animals. One of our most memorable moments was stopping the truck next to a mother and son giraffes who were sitting on the ground. They were probably three feet from us. They didn’t seem bothered by us being there. This tour would make an interesting video.
Going to be an amazing series, coming from the England, we always look to do these sorts of tours during our time at Disney as we are there for a couple of weeks. This will help plan which ones to do. Thanks so much Molly.
My favorite! Love you Molly and Allen and max. Your my favorite. Been watching you since forever. You were the only reason I watched the last RUclips series you were on. We have a lot in common. I love cheese, Good food and Disneys snacks! I love your sense of humor and your creativity! Congrats on getting your own RUclips channel! I am a huge Disney fan but have gotten older and can’t go as much. Thank you for letting me live it everyday through your eyes! God bless you Molly! ❤️ -Shelley
Awesome video Molly, thank you so much for doing it - the trek has been on my to-do list for years & is my priority for my November trip so seeing what to expect was so helpful (also as its a solo trip, seeing the Photopass there taking pics is great to know!)
I surprised my family with the Wild Africa Trek experience and would highly recommend it. My family was suspicious, though, the morning of because they had seen enough "Molly videos" and could not understand why we were not rope-dropping AK to ride Kilimanjaro and save the Genie+ to ride in the afternoon to see the hyenas. I was like let's luxuriate and enjoy the relaxed morning; everything will work out.💚
Can you swim with the fish or sharks in The Living Seas? Can you do the Coral Reef thing at Typhoon Lagoon? Do they still do the Spaceship Earth behind the scenes tour?
While I do bag on WDW from time to time, this experience looks amazing! And, since most people will not have an opportunity to go on a real African Safari, this is certainly the next best option. Thanks so much for sharing this with us Molly 👍
Ashley was one of my guides as well when i went in November. She and Emma were awesome. Wild Africa Trek is well worth it! Their photos were amazing as well.
This was such a cool video & I'm glad you were able to share the experience with us Molly. I can't wait to see what other Bucket List items are in the series. That rope bridge didn't even need the extra danger of crocodiles & hippos beneath it to be a no for me. I hope how close you got to the giraffes though, they're my favorite!
This was so awesome to see!! My mom and I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour last year and had a great time. We immediately looked up other behind the scenes tours we could check out. I saw this one and thought it was a bit pricey. After watching the video...mom and I definitely want to check it out!!
I just love all the animal experiences at Disney. My Animal Kingdom Lodge stay was the highlight of my last trip and I would love to do one of the animal tours next time ❤
This was incredible!! Animal Kingdom is my favorite park, so I would do this on a heartbeat. I’m scared of heights so the bridge would be a challenge, but I think it would be absolutely worth it. Plus, I’d forgo rides to do this. Please do the other experiences in Animal Kingdom too!!
I had Ashley and Rachel as my tour guides on Wild Africa Trek too! They are so amazing and very knowledgeable. Love this video and can't wait to see more bucket list items!
Wow! Just wow! This was so cool and informative. We have done a later in the evening dinner at the Bohma you had lunch at, and we got to hear the lions roaring for their feeding time and it was truly amazing. I can highly recommend these extra Animal Kingdom experiences. They sound expensive, but you by far get way more than you are paying for because it is a one of a kind experience. Thanks so much Molly!! Asanti Sana!!
Molly I'm thrilled that you got to do this tour. I did it in 2019 and was the only guest on my tour which gave me lots of times to interact with the cast members and learn even more! I am thinking about heading to DW early in 2025 but am sad that so many of the pre-pandemic tours are still gone. There used to be an early morning one at AKL where you got to feed the giraffe, make enrichment for Red River Hogs, etc. There also used to be two tours each one featuring a half of Epcot. Why hasn't Disney brought back more of these tours for those of us who love those experiences????
We did this in Feb as a fam of five and it was amazing. We have a 8,10 and 14 year old. they were the only kids and the two cast members were great and so were the rest of our tour group. Best time ever in AK!
Can't wait for your next Bucket List item! We were among the first to do this tour when it first opened and there has never been anything else that compares. Thank you for the memories! I was TERRIFIED going over the bridges. 😊
Love the bucket list idea! When I first started watching, I was like 'cool, we could do that- not too preciey'...until the bridge! I don't like heights and that bridge looked quite rickety! I'm short and chubby and that bridge looked like it would give me a heart attack!!
I love wild Africa trek I have done it twice and I was also lucky enough to have Rachel and Ashley who are fantastic! Such a cool experience each time is a little different like the safari ride and the Photos are a huge bonus! I love when people on the safari see you on the bridge and are like omg what are they doing!
Hi Molly! we were inspired by this video to take the Wild Africa Trek while in Disney last week and it was absolutely amazing! We even had Rachel as a guide. Thank you so much for your review of this add on experience, we were blown away by it!
Molly’s Disney bucket list series is going to be so amazing to follow. Tours like this are such hidden gems that most don’t think about when they’re all about the rides and attractions. This one especially is so unique and personal!

The hippos are more dangerous than the crocodiles. What a cool adventure. Mammoth is best theme-park podcast of them all!
I loved seeing Molly's happiness during this. I can't wait to see more of this series
I did this in 2017 with my granddaughter. We absolutely loved it. We had a wonderful cast member taking us around. A brunch was provided out on the savanna featuring African cuisine. Got to see many animals up close.

Eeeeek!! We were thinking of adding this to our honeymoon trip and I crossed my finger you would do a video before then! ❤
Ashley was one of my guides as well when i went in November. She and Emma were awesome. Wild Africa Trek is well worth it! Their photos were amazing as well.
Giraffes and Hippos and Crocs, oh my! This was definitely a great adventure to have. I hope all of the other bucket list videos are this good.
This was such a cool video & I'm glad you were able to share the experience with us Molly. I can't wait to see what other Bucket List items are in the series. That rope bridge didn't even need the extra danger of crocodiles & hippos beneath it to be a no for me. I hope how close you got to the giraffes though, they're my favorite!
loved, loved ,LOVED this one!! And it makes me happy to see you so happy, Molly! Not so sure about that rickety bridge, however!
I’m going to love this series. I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom. I’d love to see your take on that tour.
My Animal Kingdom Lodge stay was the highlight of my last trip and I would love to do one of the animal tours next time ❤
This looks amazing! We had this booked and unfortunately cancelled in September due to hurricane ian. This is a must do on our next trip!
Major bucket list item! So glad you got to do it and shared with us! Thanks! 😁
That was so amazing! Didn’t even know this was a thing 💚
Loved this first of the series! Excited to see what else you show us from your bucket list 🤗💚
Wow!
The giraffe part was my favorite!🦒🦒 They are my favorite.
