I’ve had dogs my entire 60 years of my life, from the day I was born. In 2004 I saw an ad for a Pitbull/Mastiff for adoption who only had 3 days left in his kennel, otherwise he was going to be put down. He was adopted out four times by young women who thought he was gorgeous and brought back every time because they said he had leash aggression, mind you this dog was 101lbs. I spoke with the person who was paying for his boarding, she was moving out of state and couldn’t take him, I said I’ll be right down to look at him. Well I fell in love with this monster in the first minute. I took him home ,my fiancée said what the hell is that, I said a Pitbull. She was scared to death, I said he’s not going anywhere so get used to him. The first time I walked him he showed signs of leash aggression and being so strong and adding in his weight it was very difficult too say the least. Well I put my big boy pants on bought a different leash just a collar and basically a handle. I kept him right by my side for weeks. He never showed any leash aggression after that, people need to understand dogs, some will take advantage of you if you let them, he outweighed most of the ladies that adopted him so he was the boss, while I outweighed him by 110lbs and a construction worker who was used to holding heavy objects and needed stamina as well. Anyway this dog turned out to be the sweetest, most lovable dog. Murphy was his name became so close to my fiancée that they adored one another. You couldn’t go near her unless she said it was ok, and he was never trained for any of it. All I can leave you with is that Pitbulls are without a doubt the most loyal loving dogs I’ve ever known, Murphy passed away in 2012 from kidney failure, we kept him alive for 4 years after the Vets said he wouldn’t make 4 days. We spent over 43,000 dollars on Murphy between hospital bills meds and vet check ups. I wasn’t taking his passing well at all and after 6 months to almost the day we rescued Nellie from the Brooklyn ACC she was to be put down that Sunday and we got her on Saturday. We had made a promise to Murphy that we would rescue his kind, and continue to do so until we’re physically unable to. Well since Murphy passed we have Nellie and a year and a half ago we rescued Dino who wasn’t even a year old they are inseparable. I’ve volunteered at our local no kill shelter for 7 years to socialize fighting Pitbulls that were dumped there. Everyone of my dogs were adopted and never returned for any reason, the people love them. We continue to do fostering and transports for Pitbulls.
I will never give up rescuing Pitbulls, the most misunderstood dog of all time. If anyone is I interested in adopting a Pitbull in the NY area please leave me a comment and I promise I will get back to you.
Sorry I rambled on but you have to know the bond between people and their Pitbulls, it goes beyond any dog I’ve ever had. ❤️ Pitbulls 4 Life.....one more thing I had his DNA tested he was just a very large Pitbull. 🙏🏻

pattianne pascual I personally dont rescue them but a cousin of my best friend does and I love going to her house and to just be close to them! Im glad you do and Unfortunely now Im not able to do that but maybe in the future 😊
I do the same over here in Georgia. Here in Atlanta, there are way too many that have been given up on. I've personly owned 5, with only 1 of them being bought, while the others are rescued. I've sheltered over 18, and they have all been the best animals ever. My latest rescued and kept one showed up on my porch looking aggressive since he was a fighting dog, now he is the Sweetest thing and looks like a happy champ.
ICE King there aren't enough words to thank you for helping these animals.I also live in an inner city,Paterson NJ,we are inundated with abused,fought,bred pit bulls. I hate it here and do not belong in this environment, but I stay to help the dogs and millions of street cats. Keep me in your prayers that somehow I find a way to buy a few acres in Pennsylvania,away from dog haters,and can start a sanctuary for these misunderstood dogs, and the cats. I have rescued/rejoined at least 100 pit bulls,even the most abused have become wonderful pets. If course I visit the home,do vet checks,and make sure the new owners are mature and responsible,and know how to treat and care for their dog.I make sure they don't get in the wing hands,they have been through enough.
pattianne pascual - I grew up a cat person. I'm now 60 years old and have a pitbull, my first dog ever. She is AMAZING!!!! My husband and I have already talked when we retire and move to our retirement place to make a home for older pitties to live out their lives. I love these dogs and pretty sure I wouldn't have any other breed dog. They have stolen my heart and I'm letting them keep it!!!
A portuguese life all that matters is that helping them is in your heart and in your future,and you help your friend,that is helping the dogs!

Well, whats the big pitbull like? i have a pitbull, shes kind and nice. Shes kinda big but all she can do is step on you foot or hit you with her tail. Go outside and see if you can find yourself face to face with a pitbull. Just because you might have had ONE experience that was bad or just happen to hear RUMORS then sure, think what you will. But i will try to get you to think different.

SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!.........However, when the Chi-hua-hua met 150LB. HEIDI, she got frightened.....so I made them BOTH lie opposite one another, the way Caesar does with unfriendly dogs........with the fence between them.........quite a comical picture! It worked after awhile, and soon, we were walking by Heidi's house as often as possible! THANK YOU Caesar......YES...I am IN ADORING PRAISE of Pits and Rotties.........LOVE THEM. ALL........
My chihuahua would "attack" my pitbull and all he wanted to do was be with him. Benny (Chihuahua) is the alpha at only 5lbs. So all the dogs know better. My pit was super sweet and gentle he would help me foster kittens

I absolutely adore you! Your light is SO incredibly bright and strong, and these dogs ABSOLUTELY need you and your voice, and your compassion! I used to rehab pitbulls as well, and I ran out a small rescue in Washington State, and the best dogs that I EVER found were the dogs that had been returned, and given up on by Society!! They were the most loyal, and loving companions that I ever found!! Thank you so much for doing what you do for these beautiful, and amazing dogs! They ABSOLUTELY have such a friend in you! I am so thankful that you're out there, and it brings such a smile to my face to know that you exist, and that you're doing what you're doing! Its the owners that make a dog bad...I was never afraid of any dogs and I am 71 yrs young and I first got bit by a collie when I was 6 yrs old. I love pitties they are so sweet. This guy is doing a great job in rescuing these pitties. Thanks DODO I love your channel.
