At the beginning she did. She lost weight, but able to go out without needing a walker. She was happier. But then something happened and she went backwards big time
I'm tired of seeing her waste everyone's time...

She’s been to therapy multiple times and keeps quitting. You can’t change if you don’t want to.

That is not a plus, you have to eat a ton of calories to maintain a weight of 640 lbs.
She says she wants help.. everytime she says she needs help, but she doesn’t do anything to help herself, people around doing their best for her but she wants them to stop eating for her… it’s just sad, she wants a miracle, no actions at all
She seems like she is taking advantage of them now, like she knows how to get her way and how to pull their heart strings, she’s just lazy and unmotivated to do anything for her self but LOVES to shiz on Amy.
Tammy doesn’t care she wants to stay the size she is so she doesn’t need to do anything for herself she likes being taken care of and that’s why she won’t lose the weight on her own which is absolutely sad

That’s because with this chick, it’s not really about losing weight-it’s about her compulsion for attention; that’s why she giggles like a little girl if the dr compliments her & delights in her siblings bending over backwards for her: total narcissist. That’s why she doesn’t care about goals or anything else she has to accomplish herself.
Tammy is still here but, she’s NOT fighting. She’s given up on herself. You CAN do it, Tammy!! You NEED to do it for your health. Otherwise, you will NOT be here much longer.

I feel like TLC needs to let Tammy know they are there to see her progress and if there is none then they are done filming her. I am really worried they are just watching her spiral down to her death. Every time I watch one of these videos I hope and pray she has done something to get healthier.

It's about filming her drama because Tammy is so overweight, that it's like when people used to come to watch people at circuses in cages as 'freak' shows..you are highly mistaken if you think this is about her losing weight. I had a similar thought as well, that either the filming people need to pull the plug on the show so she gets motivated or that she herself is afraid to lose the weight bc she thinks then the show will stop... either way the show is enabling her food addiction and her temper tantrums

I use to weigh 560 lbs. I applied for my 600 lb life show. I decided. I don't want surgery ..just to do it myself. Edit I'm 6 ft 2.5. Ugh aging..... but now I'm 280 and continuing to lose weight rn. Goal weight 230 . If you are reading this. You can do it too. Fasting saved my life. And I only drink a couple sodas a month it's poison . I'm 38 and started at 35 .

I did more than 75 steps the day after breaking a hip and having a gamma nail put into my leg to get the hip/thigh to heal.

I am shocked Tammy is still alive. Many are right, she doesn't want the help. It is all an act. Too much money has been wasted on her. Help someone who really wants it! Kudos to Amy and Chris for following their own weight loss journey.

Shes a human being who has value, no human being should be left behind to die if the resources are available. If you personally want to help someone else out, you can do that.
Plenty of drug addicted people don't want help, people who are su icidal, people who are anorexic, obese, mentally ill, etc but that doesn't mean we leave them to die alone. A person doesn't need to WANT help to receive it.
You are sick in the head if you would seriously leave your own family member to die, your own sister or daughter because they are too ill in the head to try as much as you want them to.
So many people here are the type to preach about mental illness but want to throw away the key the second a mentally ill person displays symptoms you dislike.
It's literally useless. She's been saying she wanted to do changes since like 2016 and it's been 4-5 yrs already and it's a miracle she's still alive, she's lucky to have patient siblings like Chris and Amy cus man I wouldn't be so patient

I’d send her to a facility and forget about her until she is able to get better mentally and physically. This grown ass woman needs accountability and responsibility and she isn’t getting it.
I think because growing up tammys mom never showed her love and she seeing her sister having a family and she is miserable because she wants someone to love her and take care of her, feed her, make her feel secured. She is getting a lot of support and attention because of her weight. Maybe she is scared to loose the weight because she still hooked on her ex and she is scared that he finds her unattractive if she gets the surgery. We will never know the truth. I will pray for her and hope she fights her inner demons because she is not a bad person. ❤Tammy don’t give up ❤
Amy seems like a genuine fun loving sweetheart with such a positive outlook, and I'm so glad she stood strong and made the changes necessary to live her best life. Chris is the rock of the family, and while he falters, he openly admits his mistakes. Tammy, on the other hand, is a lost cause at this point. She has zero desire or drive to change. I don't know what happened to her to get to this point, to just giving up and being horrible to everyone -- we all go through hardships and trauma, bullying and abuse, various insecurities. But most of us push though the struggle while Tammy simply quits. People can help and coddle her all they want, but she'll never change unless SHE wants to, and she's just not there.

I have seen every episode of My 600 lb life. I think Dr. Now is a hero. I think he has given his life to saving those that everyone else sort of gave up on. But, the words that doctor just spoke to her, were the most powerful I've heard. I hope they hit Tammy different.

I don't like it much because the big goal is to lose enough to have weight loss surgery. That's crap. I know people who've lost 100s of lbs using intermittent fasting (one meal a day) plus working out. I myself am close to 90lbs down just using these methods...no drugs, no surgery... Just one meal a day, cutting back and now I'm doing crossfit. I'm freaking 63 and had multiple chronic issues that made me very sick. We can all do this. We just need to stop giving our power away to the doctors!
@@RedSpiralHandTV I get what you're saying because perceptual diagnosis says the surgery is to create a barrier to their food eating problem, but extremely big people also have created large stomachs for themselves and it takes a big amount to get full, so the surgery helps them have a more reasonable stomach size while also providing the barrier in thay way. If your food problems are big enough in terms of fullness I can see having the surgery, if you can tough it out this would be the better option.
@@sumthing5382 This surgery not only comes with risks, it also causes unpleasant, permanent side effects. AND some people manage to gain a lot of weight back even after they have the surgery. So kind of a racket...

Misery is a beast. It's like until she happy Noone is allowed to be happy in her presence. That's really sad this is her issue and hers alone. Her family can't keep saving her she gotta want it. They fight their battles, she need to learn to fight her battles and fight them alone. No one can help her she gotta want it.
This is about where I would have to walk away from her. I know that sounds so harsh but no one can save Tammy but herself. It doesn't matter what I say, what the doctor says, what her sister says.... Tammy is gonna do it her way and that's that.

Agreed. I know this also might sound harsh but last time, my best friend and I talked about her suicidal friends. She already lost one folk to suicide and she herself has made the conclusion that if they really wanted to die, it wouldn't matter if she would drive there instantly. She definitely will drive to them instantly but if they really wanted to kts she would arrive to a dead body. And she is fine with that. She won't sacrifice everything anymore when helping suicidal people. It's either they're gonna take her help/offer to talk/seek a therapist together or approach her or they're gonna do their thing. She can't change so much. We aren't superhumans. Change and help is up to each person.
@@ginnundso That's harsh, but I get it. I didnt have a suicidal friend but she was in a super toxic relationship. She made the decision to leave him and on moving day (we had to plan and plan for weeks because it was a one shot deal to get as much of her stuff as we could not to mention lining up vehicles) she backed out saying she didn't want to leave him. Her choice. I get it. But I can't be a part of that. So I had to walk away.

You're right. She gets painted as an awful person...I'm not excusing some of her behaviors, but I see a person who is hurting and sad. I think her food addictions aren't her biggest problem, nor her weight...it's the fact that she has horrible self esteem and major depression. I "like" how people call them dans like it's a metaphor. Addiction is a Spirit, so is depression etc. The answer is demiverance in Christ. Jesus died so we could be free. Yes, we need discipline and to deny ourselves but if we could do it on our own, what would we need God for?

On a other note and generally speaking buy with weight loss included (most doctors will tell you fasting or a keto diet is dangerous because they profit from business with pharmaceuticals and people being on insulin) doctors cannot always be trusted. The Word of God says Jesus is our healer. Putting our faith is medecines is idolatry.

A lot of weight loss and bariatric doctors would not be as patient as Dr. Smith. Tammy legitimately seems like she just doesn't actually care to lose weight. She just wants to sit around and eat and drink and date people who want her to stay big or get bigger and that is more important to her than losing weight. I feel like the only reason she even takes part in any weight loss anything is so her family will shut up because she physically can not function without them taking care of her so she has to at least pretend. If I was anyone in this situation trying to help her over and over just for her to act like an entitled spoiled brat, I would cut her off and tell her if she wants to live her life in a wheel chair despite all the help she is being offered, go for it. There are so many people out there who would be so grateful at all the opportunities she has and she just gets mad if anyone including her doctors talk about weight loss.
Tammy is just ridiculous she is not going to really change until it's too late.

Tammy could and needs to do a medically supervised, absolutely zero food, gluconeogenic fast for several weeks… I believe if she had a rapid, low effort change in appearance and overall health, it may kick start her confidence to continue working hard.

@@brooklynmruk4623 Read some studies cited by Jason Fung and check out his lectures on gluconeogenic fasting. It's absolutely possible and can be done intermittently (Again under strict medical supervision) in her case, where a longer fast might strain her heart.

I've been in a similar situation before. She is clearly depressed and she, at this moment, does not care. I know that I didn't. I cared so little that when I stopped paying my rent I did nothing about it, and when I was evicted, I still did nothing even though my landlord gave me a chance to do something. But I didn't care. You only start caring when you get your mental health under control, but the sad irony is that's hard to do when you don't care about anything.
Honestly feel like she doesn't even want the help so idk why they keep trying Honestly.. I watch alot of thoses and most of thoses people r wanting to lose weight and do there goals.. I just hope she opens her eyes and realizes one day before it's to late...
