- We're setting out for a new kind of project here on the main channel. Every month I'll be making a video specifically made for Patr30n (not sure if youtube hates mentions of that site, so I'm censoring it anyway), with the goal of keeping me in the video-making mental until I'm eventually able to sit down and work on Part 3 of Library again.
I do need to fill out this description section with a bunch of buzzwords so the algorithm likes the video, so please be patient with me. We're playing #arknights and enjoying a lot of the interesting characters in it like Ling, Chongyue, Nian, and Dusk. This is a Gacha game, and there are pulls involved, but not in this video, although I do hope that at some point we can talk about that. Alas, things are at the whim of that one sponsored website so we'll see what our next video is going to be about next time. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the video!

One thing I've come to like about the Sui siblings is their link to aspects of Yan-nese / Chinese culture. Sui's name (歳) can mean 'year,' and all the siblings so far seem to have birthdays on Month-day doubles, many of which are also Festival days (Nian's on 9/9 is Chongyang / Double Ninth Festival, Chongyue has 1/1 New Year's). That's on top of the sibling's passions possibly being linked to the 'traditional arts' - martial arts, wine-making, smithing, & painting thus far.
Ling's "Traditional Arts" isnt wine making but poetry. The siblings do have a youngest brother whose specalization is in cooking
@@asheqabeer1798 Good point. I believe I got the 'wine-making' association from when I skimmed through the wiki. Apparently the siblings are associated with rades in Tiangong Kaiwu.
It does make more sense to just connect them with some of the more traditional arts - though poetry and drinking definitely have an association of their own.

@@dannybin663 the Chinese equivalent of Chess is called Go and it's made clear that the 2nd brother (the one who is evil) is the one who specializes in it

Them being immuned to rock cancer really adds to the complexity of their existence.
In Chongyue's files, it's displayed that he has 0.01u/L of originium blood - crystal density in his body while the others siblings have 0.00u/L. So what i'm wondering is can he become infected now that he's "a human".
I'd imagine it's something like the Abyssal Hunters now where infecting them with funny rock is possible, but EXTREMELY difficult
Would that mean that like their bodies aren’t immune but their powers override it? Since he put his in his tail sword?
i kind of want to see each sibling in an fixer association uniform
Each sibling embraces a "concept", has a specialty, and non-originium art relating to both.
For example, Shuo, or Chongyue, represents the concept of individual, his art is unkown because he sealed it away to truly live as a "human". His specialty is martial art.

At first, I thought you were going to talk about some deep stuffs about the Sui, but after watching the segment before you talk about the siblings, it made me realize that this front of the AK story (background of Sui to be more specific) still don't have much to talk about. After all, the short background of Sui is complimented by the event stories where these siblings were introduced. RIP (?) Jie.
Also, sad that this video had a long production time, cause Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow had such a short yet interesting role in this giant Go game with the Second Brother.
I mean, these videos have never really been about going deep into a topic. It's kind of impossible to do so in a brief summary.

Added small note: Romanization of Chinese is weird. I don't know why either 岁 or 歳 ended up being written as 'Sui' in latin letters, but it turns out the pronunciation is "Sway". I used to mispronounce my own grandma's name when little because the romanization of her name had a similar problem.

You could also probably throw other stuff like the Witch King in there, but honestly we've only got so much space to work with.

I hope you make more about arknights lore explain style video, and not really bother about the views too much. i hope your channel turn into something that people know. I really like your video style keep the grind up :)

OH MY GOD WHO CARES ABOUT ARKNIGHTS??? If you can make a quality video now, then why not make it LoR????? Sorry for being apathetic, but I don't understand why this video couldn't be a LoR video.
Apathetic is more "oh I don't care." You're currently screaming. The reason is I want to give my all for the LoR video, but because I'm so busy I can't give that 110% effort that video deserves. If that's too terribly much for you, door's right there.
