- Not a full review, but a walk around and short explanation by my wife of her new 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS sport bike. We show you different features and talk about the ride and start her up. Enjoy!
Nice looking bike - stock exhaust sounds very nice
please don't forget to upload how a video on how it rides im new to bikes and looking to get one pretty soon
Go do a riding course. Just watching videos is not enough.
+nothing to see here already signed up for one on base going back home when im done with it to get my license
+Greb Jackson Jr good to hear, have fun.
+nothing to see here i have a question tho. im 6'4 an a new rider. i want a bike that im going to keep and be comfortable riding. im looking at the ninja 650 and 1000 but idk which one would be right for me. your thoughts
+Greb Jackson Jr they are all pretty much the same size. Mainly the biggest difference is the height. When you go to the bike shop you will notice that. As a beginner I would seriously look at the ninja 650. It's only a twin cylinder but as a beginner that's what you want. You get heaps of low down torque and you build experience to ride more powerful 4 cylinder bikes like this 1000.
A vance and hines exhaust sounds so sweet on this ninja 1000
Very nice. It sounds like my Kawasaki versys 1000 and same color. Enjoy!!!!!
thanks! I love this bike.
Nice bike I've got the same thing with 400 miles on it
I just purchased a 2016 Ninja 1000 candy fire red can't wait to ride it
Awesome review, thanks a lot. I want to upgrade from my ninja 650 to this
thank you for posting this video! i am just getting into biking and will be taking a 3 day safety course this weekend. i have this bike on my list for potentials. i like that i could run it in the low power mode until i am really comfortable with the bike. it would be nice to have a bike that allows you to gradually grow into it rather than have to upgrade once you outgrow it.
its a really nice bike...i have the 2013 model, an R&G tail tidy, vance & hines exhaust....the bike looks and sounds awesome :).
It handles very well and to those considering getting this bike as a first bike just do it, its not as aggresive on the throttle as a super sport litre bike.
as an update (I'm the wife and owner of the ninja) - I love it. it corners SO well, it's comfortable, responsive - absolutely love it. I suppose if I were to nitpick it would be that I have to flip up my footpeg to drop the kickstand when I have my boots on. I like the pass signal button on the clutch handle but I never remember it's there, lol. but I will be keeping this bike for a long time. it's exactly what I want!!!
Thanks for the review 😊👍🏽
Thank you, great video and thank you for starting it.
Good bike just bought a 2013 brand new left over. Dose not have traction control but has abs. Good for you! I got mine at a steal for 8500 after tax! I got the flagship colors, green and black!
shane kent I agree my price could of been better. Floor price was 7000, but they add in ship freight then taxes. All around good bike though I think.
Love this bike. Looks great sounds great. I own a 2012 model.
I have the candy fire red and like you say I am so into it that I would bike it again. I did tried a 190x55 rear tire and it did feel better while cornering at low speed. You are not going to feel it until you try. Very good video.
Nice, keep us updated!
whoa brah when you started it up yeah baby i'm looking to buy this bike.....
Thanks for the video
I'm going to get a 2015 ninja 1000 this weekend w/3100miles in Missouri for $6000.
I have a red 2016 1,000, how do you pull up menu to change mods an set screen, an, what does it half to be on to pull it up. Thanks.
The 2016 model doesn't have a gear indicator on the dash display?, because I think the 2017 does
charlie M, i own a 2015 z800 and yes its a serious issue with the bike regarding top heaviness. Infact if u lean the bike too much at low speeds or parking chances are the bike will fall as it feels too heavy. The zx14 though heavy than z800 feels super light even while parking. The z800 feels too heavy, im going to replace it with some lighter bike this year
Congratulations. I feel like I've looked at a 100 bikes so far. Rode the Tracer, GSXS, Street Triple, Monster 821, F800R (2014), Z800, Monster 1100abs, V-Strom and a couple of others that escape me.
My criticism of the Z800 was it felt top heavy and cumbersome compared to other nakeds and was wondering if you have ridden the Z800 and how it compares to your bike. I like the features the Ninja 1000 has though, similar to the Tracer (FJ09). Thanks, Charlie.
I have not ridden the bike you mentioned to compare, but I definitely don't find it top heavy or cumbersome. I had the Honda nc700x, different class of bike, and to me, this feels much lighter, balanced, very easy to ride.
metallic spark black is the 2015 model not 2016 model
no this is 2016 model. I just got it.
I just bought the same thing, June 2016. This years model
very nice bike. I would like to know how is the holding up for you. I believe, its been 2 years now, have you experienced any problems yet. I heard that there are some exhaust heat issues on long rides and abs light issues common on those. thanks.
Wow your wife changed 2 bikes already?
hahaha yes, one was a bike for experience building, the other was for practical purposes, but I didn't really like it. I won't be changing again for a long time. found my groove with this one.
Is it almost like upright riding position, because that's what I'm looking for.
I'm a short guy 5'6 but own heavier bike, will have any problem on the ride height ?
wow moto ninja1000 how much
Please take the key off that ring ;)
did you get the hard bags too?
I did not get the bags. too much $$ for me.
your new bike naaahhhhh that's your guys bike your a girl itll be more believable if you said ummm this is my bike the ninja 300
A vance and hines exhaust sounds so sweet on this ninja 1000
