Fraiser really is the kind of character that would be the villain in a Columbo episode.
Or worse AH SIDESHOW BOB!
Someone made a great Frasier Columbo crossover comic that is GREAT!!!
If you imagine that he’s played by Donald Pleasance, then that kind of happened
Frazier could just get dropped into American Psycho making reservations.
He could also pass for a Walker, Texas Ranger villain, too
This convinced me Frasier being Santa is far more funny than Tim Allen being Santa
I cannot express how much i love seeing you two chuckle at each other's jokes while talking about these weird movies
This movie feels like one of Frasier’s rejected stories on his radio show
'Suddenly we heard...AN ICE CREAM TRUCK!'
Multiple Phelan and Allison videos in a week. It really is a Christmas miracle.
This must be that Money Plane prequel someone was asking for.
So, then, there's a growing collection of movies produced, and/or directed by The Lawrence brothers??? At this rate, they'll end up in the Anti-Criterion Collection
"Tossed Santas and Scrambled Elves" is perfection.
Gifts from Phelan and Allison on the same day? It really is the most wonderful time of the year
I saw Wallace Shawn in another Christmas movie a while ago: Christmas at Cartwright's (2014) where he plays an angel who grants special Santa mind-reading powers to a woman who is secretly working as the mall Santa, played by Alicia Witt (a.k.a. the creepy glowy-eyed girl from David Lynch's Dune!).
The most interesting thing about the movie to me was that Wallace Shawn's character was named Harry Osborn. I just wanted Willem Dafoe to show up as his dad and say "you know, I'm something of a mall Santa myself."
Even Mitch Buchannon doesn't fall in love as quickly as Frasier Claus.
Mitch Buchannon teaming up with Santa would have made for a great Baywatch Nights episode... either version.
I liked the idea of a senile Santa who doesn't know who he'll be after he retires and passes the Santa mantle on better when Arthur Christmas did it.
I thought that too. They did the Santa as a legacy character better and delved into father-son relationships.
But we also have to do The Fred Clause!
This feels like a lost Fraiser episode
The reboot finally has a chance to do something to warrant its existence
After hearing the quote over 9000 times now, I'm wondering if the little kid is calling the Grinch, "Big Teddy?" Really badly, of course.
Kelsey Grammer and Kurtwood Smith look rather similar. it would of been awesome to see Frasier Crane vs Red Forman.
Yes! I have been trying to find this movie for years (Decades at this point, I guess). I saw a little bit of it once when I was a really little kid but didn't know what it's called. Whenever I describe it to people, they think I'm talking about The Santa Clause, which has always been frustrating because Tim Allen isn't Santa's son in that. It's so nice to have the mystery finally solved, so thank you for reviewing it.
It probably doesn't help the confusion that this aired on The Wonderful World of Disney
It's such a feeling when you remember something as a kid but can't quite figure out what it is until someone features it on their YT Channel...
Happened to me when I came across Nitro Rad's video on Kingsley's Adventure, a game I remember my brother playing when we were kids, but I then forgot about it after a while...
When are we gonna get the crossover between Nick "Saint" Nicholas and Darius "The Rumble" Grouch?
"You wanna bet on a dude @#$%ing a Reindeer? Santa's Sleigh."
I would absolutely love a high fantasy movie with Wallace Shawn as a wizard. It's not too late, movie folks, make this happen!
You’re a Wizard Wallace Shawn!
Inconceivable!
Ahhh, Yes, I love the two charcters who have zero chemistry inexplicably falling in love at the end.
Merry Christmas Phelan and Allison!!
The Frazier edit made me laugh and I never watched a single episode of Frazier in my 28 years of existence. Happy Holidays to you and Alison
(Cape Fear theme plays) "Oh Bart...how I disPISE you. And Lisa, of whom I'm mildly indifferent to."
This actually aired on The Wonderful World of Disney. Erectile dysfunction jokes, fun for the whole family on Christmas.
I don’t know what to do with all this tossed holly and scrambled eggnog their caroling again.
Is ”who are you, BIG DADDY?” the new ”I hate Splinter”
Missed opportunity to bring up murderous Santa and not cut to Psycho Santa with Kelsey Grammar’s face laughing manically holding a severed hand
Satan Clause. Nothing that interesting happened in Psycho Santa.
@@TheMellowFilmmaker ahh yes you're right, you're right, Psycho Santa is the one who killed everyone off screen. "Anyway Santa killed them"
When are we getting Neil Breen as Santa Claus? He could give gifts with his conspiracy powers and travel the world with his cybernetic enhancements. He is... Santa 3000.
“I can’t believe that you want a new bike! I cannot believe you want a new bike! How could you want that? How could you want a new bike?
Sideshow Bob was a mall santa once. IT'S ALL CONNECTED
Wait we're getting Phelous Allison and side show Bob....... Well this Christmas gift is getting a lot more interesting and it's always a fun time to have you two together!
You 2 play off each other so well. Have a merry Christmas, Allison and Phelan!
I'd joke about Santa having a Wizard, but he did live for Centuries in the 5th Dimension with Merlin, so...
'Hurry Mr. Merlin! This is no time to play horsey!'
Golly Gosh! Of all things to be featured on Phelous and The Movies, I was not expecting a *Hallmark* movie! Especially one from the era of when they used to do more than just Christmas movies! And considering this one from 2002 has Kelsey Grammer in it, that makes it more memorable than the plethora of modern Hallmark Christmas movies that they chrun out these days...
"Anyway, to cut a long story short: Sideshow Bob killed them with his ornament magic!"
Milk and cookies won't cut it for Santa Frasier, not a chance. Should I leave out tossed salads and scrambled eggs for him, or just a bottle of sherry?
If there is an opportunity to throw in a simpsons gag, Phelan will find it.
And god damn, Kelsey Grammer the person may not be my cup of tea but his acting is impossible to ignore on screen. When he commits, he commits
Meanwhile in a parallel universe...
"Wow! Great Family Guy joke, Phelan!"
Perhaps it would be more on the nose if Kelsey's Grammer character was named Mr. Grouch.
After The Santa Clause gave us festive body horror, I guess adding holly, jolly identity death to the Santa cinema canon was inevitable.
5:51 I may have shaken some windows with how loud I laughed at this 🤣🤣🤣
Not only does this movie steal from The Santa Clause, but it also steals from Ernest Saves Christmas with the Santa losing his magic sub-plot.
For some reason I had a memory as a kid that Kelsey Grammer was George in George of the jungle 2 complete with abs and everything
My mom has a vhs tape of this that she recorded off ABC family. The best part is there’s a promo for the Santa Clause with Michael Eisner reading to children and Tim Allen refusing to wear the fat suit
What is Sideshow Bob stole Santa's outfit and used it to to hatch a scheme on Bart and Lisa?
For he himself has said it/ and it's clearly to his credit/ that he is a Santa Claus/ he remains a Saaaaaaaaantaaaaaaaaa Clauuuuuuuuuuuus!
As South Park said: "Simpsons did it." I might be experiencing a Mandela effect, however, I recall Sideshow Bob was dressed as Santa at some point.
If you want a better TV Christmas movie where Charles Durning plays Santa, there's Elmo Saves Christmas (which if weird considering his last role in a muppet production was the villan Doc Hopper in The Muppet Movie)
Kelsey Grammer isn't real. He's a character created to help children understand the importance of giving.
Wallace Shawn is always fun to watch!
Y'know, this video is great and all, and I've watched it ten times now...but what I'm really looking forward to is you and Allison tackling Addams Family Mistake! 😁
Can we get a Family Reunion Movie with Santa Claus (Tim Allen), Fred Claus and Mr. St. Nick?
So Santa's son is Frasier with Wallace Shaun as a wizard
John Mahoney should have been Santa. XD
Well, can't believe it's been 30 years since Frasier..
Frasier ended 20 years ago
My name is Mr St Nicholas Ebeneezer Grouch the third, and I am taking down the Money Sleigh!
seeing your Christmas sweater reminds me of how I was walking home from work, and on their fence outside someone had gotten 4 green baubles, and put red, orange, blue and purple tape or something around it, and googly eyes on top of that, and made some rly cute tmnt christmas baubles!
happy holidays you two 🎄🎄
This seems like they chose a bunch of actors at total random!
I kept expecting Joe Estevez to show up as The Heat Miser or something O_O
I’m still convinced that the characters were originally called Snow Midas and Heat Midas but some studio executive changed them to Misers because “kids are too ignorant to know about King Midas, so call them Misers even though misers refuse to give things, which is exactly wrong.”
I've been waiting since Tuesday to comment this:
"Hey! Who are you!? Big daddy!!!
(Please forgive me😢)
Dang, Santa is a real jerk in this, but Nick St. Nick is also a jerk, so it's okay, I guess?
Also, considering Grammer's politics, I'm pretty sure if this was made today, the INS guy would be the hero of the movie. :D
What a weird episode of Fraiser.
27:15 Did they say that the Wallace Shawn wizard's name is Mimir? Because if they did... That is a surprisingly deep cultural reference for a cheap flick like this to have. The popular figure of Santa Claus is inspired from a number of sources, including Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas, but he's also based partially on the Norse god Odin. In Norse mythology Mimir was supposed to be one of the wisest and most knowledgeable beings. He was beheaded in a war among the gods, and Odin kept the head. The head still held all of Mimir's knowledge, so Odin would ask it for advice when he was in a difficult situation.
Kelsey Grammer is fine but he is No Sonic Claus. Sonic Christmas Blast is in my House a Christmas Tradition
Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!
Thank you!
As a Jew, I will say that Frasier Crane is the One True Santa.
Merry Christmas!
I gotta day, you and allison's holiday output this year has not missed!
Well you're in luck. You can see Wallace reprise this magnificent role in the cartoon, "OK, K.O." where he turns everyone into furries.
Merry Christmas Phelan and Alison!
I love how Kelsey Grammer just sells the hell out of any role he plays, even the loser son of Santa Claus.
Sadly did not understand any of the Frasier references, that show is pretty unknown here in this part of Europe. Honestly, I only know Kelsey Grammer from playing Beast on X-Men. He and George Buza should appear sometime in a show together!
Ernest Saves Christmas, The Santa Clause, Snow, Santa Baby, Disney really likes recycling this plot.
There's another Christmas movie with Norm and Diane from Cheers as Santa and the Mrs.
Wasn't the butler on Frasier too?
YEP
@@mathieuleader8601 So he was the gay father who was also Robin Hood (as a fox)?
Have you ever seen the Christmas Carol with Kelsey Grammar as Scrooge? It’s a pretty mediocre film with one song too many, but Grammar gives a pretty good performance.
Just like Sideshow Bob. He'll send you to heaven before he sends you to Hell.
and then he was General Patton in An American Carol
Mr. St. Nick would have been a great horror flick if elder Santa transformed into Krampus and as a rite of passage Jnr. must slay Snr. to be crowned Santa
Oh I'd so watch a Neil Breen Christmas movie.
The IMMIGRATION!!! guy is Colin Cunningham, aka Colin From America
I always remember seeing Charles Durning as Santa in the Sesame Street XMAS special Elmo Saves Christmas
He was also in Mrs Santa Claus with Angela Lansbury.
Santa Von Claus must be related to that vampire from Sesame Street
Santa Von Claus. That's about as on point as Xanta Klaus. Those names should not work...but they do. LoL
Lupa! I'm shocked. You've never seen Charles in The Muppet Movie?
Love the Happily Ever After cameo in the background.
Could you imagine hearing this Santa laugh and realizing he sounds suspiciously like Sideshow Bob?
'A lot of people sound like Sideshow Bob; like Frasier on Cheers' 'Or Frasier on Frasier' 'Or Lt. Commander Tom Dodge in Down Periscope'
The INS Agent being the villain is kind of weird given what Grammer's actual thoughts on Immigration probably are
13:26 He's Gandelf.
This still looks better then Santa Who
I completely forgot this existed!
8:03 I think you mean, "losing his santa-ty"
"What if Santa was horny?"
......... Didn't Elf Bowling the Movie already answer that question?
A wizard elf? Thats a new one. Then again there are lot of good idea involving Santa & some very questionable. Still love the gags in this review, Simpsons, Frasier & you threw in a clip of Violent Night in there as well. Merry Christmas Phelan & Allison!
*St Vladimir Sideshow Stinky Pete Hank Beast McCoy Putin Bob Claus*
Happy Holidays Phelan and Allison!
I love lupa's hair!!
I like to think that movie could have been a fever dream from Crane being high on pills in the episode Frasier Crane’s Day Off
One thing I learned about that Transformer movie endorsed and funded by China you know the dinosaur one. Frasier makes a pretty good villain.
Merry Christmas guys
Merry Christmas, Phelan and Allison!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Phelan and Allison!
lol so ridiculous I love it
I wonder if that movie was what got the actress into Ugly Betty.
This is another one (like Geppeto) that I don't remember very much but I know that I saw it with my family on The Wonderful World of Disney back in the day
Frasier: North Pole edition…
They couldn't get David Hyde-Pierce for the 2nd Fraiser series? Then why even have it?
Best x-mas gift ever🎉🎉🎉
Santa Magic is Just As Convenient As Time Travel And Or Multiverses Too,.
Happy holidays to you two! 🎁🎄
