I love this chatterbait, works perfect up north for targeting bass and pike. The weedguard is tough but I had a tiny pike rip it off. It still catches fish just not how I intended too. I'm not a fan of the chaunassey hook, and the keeper would have been nicer if it was the same as the Elite. Like I said I love it, it's a workhorse but has some drawbacks
Thanks for using our gear Paul. If you do a ton of inshore saltwater, you might want to also look at the Eye Strike ChatterBait. It's skirtless, which tends to appeal to redfish more and has a little beefier hook. Can't go wrong with either one though!
I yet to lose a chatterbait. Which i know sounds crazy i only fish from bank and kayak but the regular chatterbait is quite weedless. So i can wait to use my crosseyez
You can, just don't use the cheap super glue because it can react with the ElaZtech material. We recommend the gel-style super glues. Loctite makes one called the Control Gel (or Gel Control, I can't remember) which is awesome. A little dab of that and you're good to fish the same lure all day! Thanks for the question Keeth!
