To add to the whole "Season 2 was supposed to be 20 episodes" thing, Matt himself has been oddly quiet about it, but I speculate that Adult Swim were getting worried it was getting too "plot-heavy", which...is interesting, as Venture Brothers got more plot-heavy later down the line. Guess they didn't want more than one show being that way.
That’s strange because adult swim and Cartoon Network are the same channel and cartoon network had a ton of plot heavy shows or at least those shows were airing when 12 oz mouse came back in 2018 but as far as 2005 (the debut year of 12 oz mouse) yeah Cartoon Network’s shows were not like that back in the day. Unless adult swim has different rules for its shows I just figured I’d point that out.
As someone who has been a fan of this show since 2018, this is really good! i have been scouring for content since season 3 ended, and took it upon myself to try and piece the lore together by myself during that time. if i could, i would make a video about the lore and story myself, but alas I can’t. It’s just a show that I don’t want to fade into obscurity. Thanks for the video! I love this show so much. It deserves the attention.
also, for the lore question at 13:18, I have an answer for you! While it’s a little vague, as most of the show is, what Aria is asking is pertaining to the number of worlds. She’s asking why they’d need 222 worlds for the Box of Worlds (the thing that season 3 is centered around). Wilx answers by saying it’s what “they” wanted. The “they” could be from the bad idea carnival, but I mostly just think it’s talking about the three main villains in general (ie Shark, RBM, and Industry Man).
