Apparently it was very expensive to produce which is one of the major reasons for why it got canceled. It’s also crazy how basically a two person team were controlling the suit. The person in the suit itself and the person controlling the animatronics in the head.

Binged the whole series recently & this really make you appreciate what a technical achievement this show was. Each of the full sized dinosaurs is played by 3 people ; a voice actor, a suit actor & a puppeteer remote controlling the head, & all 3 of them have to be totally in sync to create a believable character

    • @jonplaud

They were able to make extremely detailed suits with fully animatronic faces suits with that high a quality on a TV show budget back in the early 90's.... yet in today's damn near half a billion dollar movies all the can give us is bad PS 3 quality boneless, unnaturally animated, plastic cartoons? What the hell is wrong with this world?

(I know that isnt really answering any question its just people always comment about how the show was a "Kids Show" even though if you really examine the episodes you could see otherwise)
