    Johnny, here in California we no longer have grass..but I find your videos informative and interesting. You take such pride in your work. It’s also beautiful to see the green grass and plants. Thank you for sharing your stories.

    Thanks for not adding music, I like the sound of just the mower.

    I like seeing the mower, not the front. The satisfaction comes from seeing the grass get cut. But still a beautiful yard and job.

    I loved your presentation Johnny. The mower, stick edger and string trimmer were so quiet; your petrol blower was probably the nosiest!!! The finish front and back was really crisp and sharp. A real showcase. Many thanks for sharing with us. POP SMOKE PEACE ✌️

    Only $1.50 a week to charge the mower is crazy! Can I ask what you spent on gas weekly before making the switch? I love how quiet the electric mower is too.

      It's hard to say with the fluctuation of gas prices, but I get 65 properties mowed with one charge

      It's a hell of an improvement. I currently spend anywhere between $70-$100 a week on gas for my mowers and 5 gallon gas can.

    We have a few yards with that Tarpedo grass in them. It is a very tough grass to mow and trim for sure! I actually tried that growth regulator on a section of Tarpedo and it slowed the vertical growth but still allowed the lateral growth to take place while maintaining its green color 😉👍 I also applied the regulator to my St. Augustine about 5 days ago . We haven't had rain since the application so, can't really tell yet🤷 my grass usually jumps 5 inches after a rain Lol Good video BTW

    65 yards is a lot. For most people they could cut the battery size by 2/3 and also.the cost of entry and weight of the mower and just charge nightly

    Great vid!!! Nice and crispy as usual!!!I actually decided to try a battery powered kobalt self propelled push mower!!! So far I've gotten 3 days off a full charge considering I only have 1 or 2 full push properties and just a handful of small back yards. Definitely thinking about switching up with the trimmer and and edger as well!!💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💚💚💚

    Wow that is a tough property because of the thick grass. To see you go over that backyard 10-20x was crazy. The little dogs next had to be tired from chasing you because when started the string trimming they didn’t even come back to chase you 😂. By you going electric on mostly everything you are saving a ton of money. I can see you down the road in getting an electric pickup truck 👍🏾.

    Any advice on fertilizing shrubs?

    • @Bladesofgrasslawncare
      @Bladesofgrasslawncare  Год назад +1

      shrubs should be fertilized in early spring, and a light fertilizer application can be made in early summer if conditions are conducive to plant growth. Avoid fertilizing trees and shrubs stressed by drought during the summer months.

    As someone looking to start my own lawn care business, how come you used the string trimmer on parts you already edged like the sidewalk I believe it was?

    • @Bladesofgrasslawncare
      @Bladesofgrasslawncare  Год назад +1

      Torpedo grass is very rough so the blade edger leaves stragglers sometimes so it's a precautionary act

      @@Bladesofgrasslawncare ah I see, thank you sir!

    • @electric6877
      @electric6877 Год назад

      String trimmer leaves the edges crispy and an edger digs into the dirt a bit to leave a defined edge. Grass can be thick on edges so a stick edger would clean the edge if you haven’t done them and the trimmer just leaves a clean cut like a mower blade. An edger doesn’t have the same vacuum as a mower deck so it tends to leave a few bent blades and it doesn’t look as “clean”

    • @Press1for
      @Press1for Год назад

      @@electric6877the rotation of the string acts as a propeller to pull air. This in that action simultaneously the grass is magically cut by gnomes that jump dimensions to hand cut the grass with safety scissors.😊

  • @stukaman1162
    @stukaman1162 Год назад

    Maybe I'm missing something, but it appears you don't put much concern into laying down parallel stripes on this property whose good condition of grass certainly would show them off. It's one thing to run back and forth over places you've already trimmed, but you appear to be all over the place with no thought to any kind of a pattern.Where am I wrong?

    • @Bladesofgrasslawncare
      @Bladesofgrasslawncare  Год назад +1

      My type of grass doesn't stripe so patterns are not a concern. If I was mowing a lawn that striped then that would be the objective. My main concern if the end result and customer satisfaction.

    You hear that suckers! 65 yards and it costs $1.50 to charge 😂. Sorry not trying to be a jerk but I have been running electric equipment for 4 years and no one ever believes that I can get through my whole route easily on 1 charge and I only paid $10k for my greenworks 52”(the big boy commercial version). Now they are way more expensive so that is definitely an issue.

    • @electric6877
      @electric6877 Год назад

      Probably depends on what type of properties you’re mowing but the newer Greenworks is supposed to cut 8 hours on a single charge and you can also get the clean energy tax credit which could bring down the price about $7,500. And if you live in California you can get an additional discount which I’ve heard brings down those $22k mowers to about $6,500 or so
