    Your joy is so contagious. And that sweater looks great. I know that melancholic feeling after finishing a big project, those tricky moments of letting go and starting anew.

    It looks amazing! A tip for when you’re doing sleeves or are far along on the body - put your sweater into a big mixing bowl. I try to find a shallow wide one. You can turn the bowl in your lap back and forth so as not to twist the yarn, and it keeps the weight off your wrists. It’s very handy!

      Actually the bowl you washed it in is the shape I was talking about. And the socks turned out great too!

    I know nothing about knitting, but seen you knit and create things is so relaxing! I felt that way when you talked about journaling as well so I guess is the way you show how interesting and enjoyable a simple live can be. I think that internet and social media made things so intense and hard than live should've been. Thank you for sharing your life with us! Yopur channel is one of my favourites right now!

    Thank you for sharing your journey with knitting sweaters, and cardigans which you are not happy with. I've knitted one sweater myself and I only wear it at home and still struggling to knit my first - to be proud of and be worn outside garment, so your joy is my motivation to keep knitting 😃😃

    I really love that color on you. It’s really flattering. I think having a little room will be helpful if you want to wear like thermals underneath without stretching out the sweater too much. I can see your confidence expanding with every knit you do. Keep going, excited for your next.

    Alicia, I have been wanting to get in touch with you for ages and this just made me reach out immediately! Congrats on the Halibut! It’s beautiful and the fit is perfect! I also LOVE Caitlin Hunters designs and have bought the yarn to make the Baltian sweater… anyway you mentioned making another, I would love to chat to you about what you’re gonna choose and maybe we could do a knit together. Anyway, I will get in touch directly. I still have a postcard I was meant to send to you ages ago of my Blundstone boot drawing… so sorry! Ps. We have soooo many hobbies in common it’s crazy!

    Sorry to hear about the water heater, wash machine and back up of sewage! I’ve had the backup before too and was just glad it was mine and not the whole neighborhoods (we have a septic tank)! Have you had a lot of rain?? If you have a septic tank, it may need pumping by a professional. Cute sweater!!!

    • @adventuredenali
      @adventuredenali  9 месяцев назад +1

      It was funny that it all happened in the one weekend. We’re grateful for mostly fixing all of it. The backup was caused by tree roots in our old steel pipes. We had someone come out and root them out to clear the blockage.

    • @msstacey777
      @msstacey777 9 месяцев назад

      @@adventuredenali glad it was all fixed. Is that what they call Murphys Law?? We don’t realize how important some things are until they break and stop working. I’m surrounded by trees and I’m sure I have some roots interfering with my drain field as well for my septic system.
