Thanks for sharing the install video. I've been looking at the SOB stand for a lil while now and wanted to see where the actuator for the stand would fit under the bike. Installation doesn't look too difficult.
It would be nice if when you put the stand down it releases a push button underneath the bike that would illuminate a little light you mount up by your tank. The light wouldnt drain your battery because when you turn your ignition off it would kill the light. Then when you get on the bike to ride it you turn the ignition on and see the little light lit up as a reminder to raise the center stand. When the stand folds all the way up it pushes in the little switch and turns off the light on the dash. More like a piece of mind thing. I know if I had one on mine I would constantly be wondering if it crept down while I was riding, even though Im sure the chances of that happening are slim to none. Thanks for the video! 🍻
Hey buddy, Another fantastic video, great job 👍👍 man, I’m just green with envy, your garage/ shop is awesome, what a set up👌dig it man, I really appreciate how you explain what your doing, thanks Best regards 🙏
Nice job on the video. I just came across your channel in my feed actually. I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future ; keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
Is there a torc spec for the bolts? The bolt for the leg came out. And was laying in the tray when I got home from a ride. That's the one with the jam nut on it.
What tester is that you have on the wall? That you used to test the unit ? I need to get me something like that for testing things and that one there looks like it can be mounted out of the way?
You’re welcome. Sorry about not showing the wiring. It’s the boring part for me so I usually pass over it. I’ll think about explaining things better in the future.
On yours did that small bar actually fall into place flat? Cause I'm struggling to get the bar flat it's either tilted up in the front or down in the back. So not having luck getting the bolts in straight.
Mine went in flat. Either there’s dirt in the trough where it sits or there’s a dent in the bottom of the pan holding it up somewhere. I can’t think of anything else. Sorry to hear you’re having problems.
Out of respect for S.O.B. I don’t want to say exactly how long it took but I will say that the wait was substantial. But, I ordered mine through a third party seller so that may of slowed things down for me. Plus, it was being shipped up to Canada… on horseback.
Yeah sorry about that. I don’t like to show people the electrical part of it because I don’t wanna be responsible for somebody screwing it up and destroying their bike.
Awesome video Lance... It's big Jay from Surrey, I'm trying to get the SOB stand and the dirty air for my 24 Road Glide right now
Hey Jay, great to hear from ya. Cool, I have no regrets with either of those systems. Stay in touch.
@@i.b.lancer I will for sure man... you still running crane?
Nope, I'm retired now... I moved up north and I'm just taking things easy. And making videos....
@@i.b.lancer that's awesome man good to hear
Great video !!
Right on. Thanks. 👍

There were no instructions or torque specs with my unit. I would suggest at least locktite blue on the threads.
@@i.b.lancer thanks for the reply I did use blue locktite on the bolt . Thanks again

They don't sell the one I have anymore but the following link is the same thing. amzn.to/3P43gdE
@i.b.lancer Ok thanks for the link
Will the actuator stop whenever you let go of the switch or does it do its full travel automatically?
As soon as you let go of the switch the actuator stops.
@@i.b.lancer Thanks.
Thanks for the video but I would have like to see you doing the wiring that would be the hard part for me. and your bike looks good

Can you still use a jack to get the bike off the ground with the center stand in place ?
Yes, no problem at all.
@@i.b.lancer thanks
How long did the center stand take to arrive after you ordered it

You keep your kickstand remove it?
I kept it on just in case.
Can this stand work on a 95 electra that doesn't have air ride to lower the bike down onto extended stand?
Nope. You need air ride. I suggest checking out Southern Oregon baggers website for more info.
@@i.b.lancer Thanks for responding. 👍
Can I use that on a 99 Electra ultra glide classic
It’s my understanding that they only go back to 2000 but you can double check at Southern Oregon Baggers website.
Should have showed us how you did the electrical install. Other than that great video. Easy Peezy
Yeah sorry about that. I don’t like to show people the electrical part of it because I don’t wanna be responsible for somebody screwing it up and destroying their bike.
What length stand did you buy ?
Mine was 3”
Yes. An Ultra brother from the great north. How's it going? I'm definitely interested in doing this to my 16 Ultra.
Doing good. Yes, you definitely want to do this.
