It's not a problem of people not queueing or doing instanced grouped content... the problem is that blizzard sent most of the invites to streamers and wow content creators, very few normal players got access to alpha.
Agree. Alpha is no longer about testing, it´s just an advertisement.
Alpha did not only go to streamers. A number of people in my guild got one.
@@eodyn7 Well most content creators complain about the alpha servers being empty so even if some other players were invited, obviously that´s not enough. You can barelly find any footage from dungeons beucase there aren´t enough people to do them.
True, it is also a form of advertising, and it's not just streamers and creators, it's just not enough people that are willing to test. Sending it to random players can be a gamble since there is no way for Blizz to know if the invites will actually go to people that will play. Viceversa, when streamers and creators get invites and don't play it's also weird. If anything, streamers that just play keys and raids all day are likely better candidates than most other people :)
Literally 3 guilds of mine with veterans, a lot of hours and still active. Nobody got in, it's literally not about trying and testing. It's about streamers/ youtubers making content so casuals get 'hyped'.
One of the biggest issues that worry me....... from many past expansions...... "Alpha is for big changes, Beta is for fine tuning"....... there are alot of classes and specs that still feel really bad. Are they still going to do big work on spec reworks and fixing or save the classes that haven't gotten work for "oh we'll get to you in the .1 patch"?

Fair, although we got huge reworks and changes during the exp. And those were bangers. So I assume they will continue this trend and work there way to all the classes. Consumers always forget those are also just people with prios and working hours
@@xDheNgzTxD Sure, for some. Hunters and Shaman are still working with their DF launch trees. A ton of classes bring little to nothing for M+. Aug exists and is only supported by a caster comp.
Alot of work to be pushing off to yet ANOTHER "we'll get to it later" expansion.
Imagine they would release a very last minute alpha build with a modernization of all hunter specs, ready to be tested for beta. Never lose hope.

Beta June 5th, and yet there are quite a few specs that still need work. Even with the latest blood changes there are still issues and talents NYI. I get the feeling they are going to just have band aide fixes for most classes that have issues due to time restraints and needing to get the xpac out asap.

Early Access behind a premium edition is absolutely f**king filthy.
Can't say we are fans of it either, but I don't think they have done open Betas for expansions lately, and the paid early access seems recent, as an extra way to get in outside regular invites. So although it's just more access then before, with the paid one, it could still be better if we just had open Beta
I thought this at first and then asked myself what would happen if I didn’t buy it. I realized it wouldn’t change my experience much at all, and I might even miss the server bugs on day 1. It’s just a FOMO thing, we won’t miss out on almost anything

Why are not many people being invited to test TWW so far? Because they want all the suckers, I mean players to pay for beta access by purchasing the epic edition. Previously as a long time player I got into DF towards the end of the alpha. I don’t even expect a beta invite this time around. It’s notable that the description of who will be invited to beta for TWW sounds more like what they have said for alpha in the past - friends, family etc…

I really hope they have max level templates or boosts for beta chars. I would like to test the systems without spoiling myself with questing.
i think yes they make only servers for that so you can test the highlevel chars they did it before dont know about this beta.

That is not true at all. We always had huge patches at the end of the beta cycle.
Every month of every Beta would have so much datamining on wowhead and mmo-champ.

So don't test the leveling process and make sure it works? don't test the new quests for issues? bugs in the open world etc? are you guys just stupid?
A great way they could have improved this would be giving all CE players acess aswell as what they're doing. From the group of friends ive made that are scattered betwewn top 100-600 about 3 people in the guilds have beta.
Streamers are idiots. Give beta keys to regular folk.

I guess if you take it literally, the Beta was not there 14 hours ago when the video launched, but you could also be a little bit more sophisticated with the way you engage with information, since we can also talk from a more abstract point of view where "here" can also mean in the realm of the "known" cuz we know the date and it's less than a reset away.

@@Rafael-km9mx since dragonflight I have had a dorénavant of tickets that got answered and solved in a few hours, compared to shadowlands for which you had to wait days to reçeive automatic answer directing you to links that may solve the issue.

and its due to that reason a ton of shit and broken stuff finds its way into beta and release.... they need more people in Alpha to point out things in time for them to make meaningful changes that people ask for.
