They tore my truck apart, searched me and kept me from fishing until well after feeding time. He let me go with no ticket or anything because I literally had done NOTHING wrong. But by the time it was over I didn't feel like fishing anymore. Changed my entire lifes view on park rangers. You know the saying, one bad apple.

Respect... double-checking safety, simple communication, clear conformation and no problem 10/10 wet cop boi
And he kept his distance/pace so as not to throw the guy off his board
You respect a f'ing police state? He has a very floaty board underneath him... if they're soooo worried about him getting knocked unconscious and drowning (a VERY slim possibility), then outlaw base jumping, rock climbing, hang-gliding, and anything else dangerous.

Yeah except it doesn’t matter if he’s wearing one anyway. If he falls off all he has to do is swim. It’d be like saying that you needed to have a car on stand by in case your bike got a flat tire…. You could just walk home…… like I’m not against cops at all I’m just saying it literally doesn’t matter if someone is wearing an unnecessary safety piece if they don’t want to wear one. It would’ve been even better if the cop had just minded his own business. If the guy thinks that he is safe without one on and then drowns because he was wrong then that’s his problem. Growing up in Co, I used to think that to. Park rangers were my heroes! Then I moved to Mo, and almost immediately was harassed by a park range for literally NO REASON. Had my fishing license, was sober and completely legal. Pull up to a state park, go to get out and grab my poll and BOOM surrounded by screaming, aggressive park rangers with guns in my face.
