@@jaimeanderson9238 I trimmed the heavy yup to fit the lid of a mini palette. It wipes clean so reusable. I've never tried the tear off pad s... yet lol.
Thanks for this...noticed you used your watercolour brushes with the acrylic inks from Daler Rowney...and you watercolour water...Is this safe to do? I always thought that any acrylic paint...would harden on your brushes..and leave plastic in the water, which would contaminate your watercolours...what do you think? thanks Janis
I’ve been doing it for a while and haven’t noticed any issues. But the brush I am using is a robust one I wouldn’t use one with soft bristles or a very expensive one. The brush that works well is the Jackson’s Quill, it’s very resilient and it’s absolutely fine. :)
I checked Jackson’s site and the watercolor blocks are very affordable. 9 pounds translates to approximately 12 US dollars. This is for 15 sheets. Not sure what the shipping cost would be to the US.
I look forward to seeing you play around with the yupo paper. I have been interested in them for some time but have never ordered any as I wasn't sure what they would be like.
Hi lovely, I had the same question about the two different types of Jackson’s blocks as I also love the unusual rough texture of the plain/older blocks. I emailed them to check if they were discontinuing the older style (in case I needed to stock up on the rough!) and they said they were going to continue with both lines and had no plans to discontinue. Hope this helps and thanks for all your wonderful videos (the ink comparison demo here is super useful!) 🙂
Arteza has some SMALL sketchbooks in different sizes that can take watercolor very well. I order them all the time, u get three for .27.00. You can preview them on you tube.
I have never used this new kind of paper. When you do your video on it can you mention if it ever breaks down in a landfill or is it plastic like plastic bottles. Do you know?
Absolutely awesome! Just wondering - did you hand draw your color wheels or use a stencil of some sort? I have arthritic fingers so don’t draw but love your color wheels :)
I was planning to share how I create these colour wheels in the New Year. It’s actually very simple and you might be able to do it as it requites a tool, which takes seconds. Will share it soon! :)
Not really, for example my latest autumn palette that I put together has a number of different brands. But here I was ordering a specific colour palette from Rembrandt so decided to keep it all one space. :)
Gorgeous colours and paper! I love your colour wheels and your inky night sky. Best wishes to you and your family for 2021.😊🌹
Happy New Year to you and your family. May the coming year be filled with love and peace. Thank you for your hard work!
Loved your play with color wheels! Thanks for sharing!
The little heavy yup pad is brilliant as a travel palette. Somewhere to squeeze a little tube paint.
Happy new year to you and your family.
That's a great idea!
Palette paper works well for that too. She uses it in several videos. I bought some because it's really inexpensive and I like how it works.

@@hlk01 That's smart :)
Love seeing the gold in the indigo!!
We played around with my son and created a lovely little abstract painting with that Indigo and Gold, it’s now hanging in a frame! :)
Thank you , again! I will be enrolling in your watercolor class n the New Year!
Happy New Year, may it be filled with hope and love.

Really great video:) I have never seen the Rembrandt PG26 before. It doesn't look like it granulates.
It granulated a bit and separated in the secondary mixes on that colour wheel. But very little granulation compared to other cobalts I’ve tried. :)

Oh that’s good! Thanks for letting me know, was going to email them, good that they are keeping the older line. The texture is remarkable. 👌🏼👌🏼
Before you use the yupo, I recommend wiping it down with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils from your fingertips as they will create a resist.
What is the name of sketchbook that you used to paint the color wheels in? Colors look really vibrant. Happy New Year and blessings!
That small hardcover sketchbook is Jackson’s. The paper is on a thin side and buckles with a lot of water but it’s great for little swatches. :)

Thank you for sharing. Just thought I would share the non traditional papers are petrol based.
Petrol? Does it mean they are toxic?
I think it's made from petroleum like what petroleum jelly is made from, which is safe.

That’s a very good question! I need to research this, I hope it’s recyclable.

Do you recommend having separate palettes for different brands of watercolor colors?
