- Frontenac Provincial Park Big Clear Lake
This cluster of three campsites is located on Big Clear Lake. The shoreline at the site is rocky and the bottom deep. You can expect to hike about 5 hours to get there from the Park Office or 4 hours from the Big Salmon Lake parking lot.

Frontenac looks so amazing I can hardly wait to visit I lover snakes got a picture of a rattler last summer in the Muskokas
I just take pics and videos of snakes but I don't like snakes. I still think it would be cool too see a rattlesnake but from a distance.
Great hike beautiful place, Thanks
Thanks It's a great place to go backcountry camping and is available year round.
Which trail is this called? Love your channel. Cheers
The trail I hiked is Big Salmon Lake Loop - 17 km loop. I camped at site 13.😎
@CraigVanDusenOutdoorAdventures Thank you. Again, it's an awesome video. Cheers.
Hey Craig. I love your videos! I had been thinking about going to Frontenac and watching your videos pushed me over the edge. I have been twice since April and love it!
Just answering all old comments thanks for watching!
But can the black snake climb hammocks?!!!
Just answering all old comments thanks for watching!
Great video!! I love that park going there this summer. What was the site number? And wondering can you get down to the water as we are thinking of kayaking into these sites? You mentioned Ginos...Mmmm delicious pizza for sure!! Last summer we came across a rat snake and he had to be about 6 feet long...nasty. Take care Craig!!
Found this on Friends of Frontenac Park
Campsite 13A you can canoe to the cluster in about 3 to 4 hours from the Big Salmon
Lake boat launch (two portages, 491m and 190m). You can also canoe in
from Mitchell Creek in 5 to 6 hours or from Kingsford Dam in 4 hours.
Both include 2 portages, 761m and 880m. Another option is to canoe in
from the Devil Lake boat launch on Perth Road. This should take you
about 3 hours with one 880m portage.
Thanks Craig for the info!! Maybe we will see you out there this summer!
I have a question for you? When will you upload more videos? Will you go fishing in any of your videos? I am hooked on your channel, Craig. Keep on camping!
Just answering all old comments thanks for watching! Yes will try fishing but may never catch anything.
Another great video of Frontenac! Was great meeting you on the trail man! we should deff go for a hike together sometime ! Ive been having some technical difficulty with editing my video but it will be up soon !
Make sure your video is under 15mins before uploading to youtube, for first timers won't let you upload over 15mins of video.
thanks for the tip! im actualy having trouble using my comp in general to edit been using my brothers but he lives far from me so its been a slow process hopefully this week sometime it will b ready. how many videos do you need to post before you can post longer videos ? maybe i can make some shorter gear videos and such before posting the trip vid
I can't recall, but shorter videos first and then the trip video, shouldn't take long before you can make longer videos.
Which campsite is your favourite? I have only been to a couple and headed this weekend?
I like campsite 13A , but it depends on how long I'm camping for if I go just for one night I'll pick a closer campsite for sept and oct I will pick campsite 7d or 3a or 3d and 12b is great for the fall great hike.
can I go hiking with you?
