Amazing nature 👍 Very beautiful video 👍 Glad to see you guys are enjoying, one of the best way is camping 🙏 Soooooooo blissful Keep enjoying life ladies and gentlewomen 🎉🥳
I was alway looking for a place like this in the middle of the jungle to escape everybody - everything, now I know the name of the place. Thanks for the video, really helpful
Great video. Glad you got to see the deer. My #1 tip: never believe what the tent says it can hold. If it says 2, then really its one. 4-/2 etc.. 🏕 And always "If you pack it in, pack it out 🚮". 😎☀️
Love Frontenac, camped there many times. We stayed at that same site at campsite 6 2 years ago. Don't recognize the surrounding at your 2nd site though
Hey ! Quick question and hoping you could help me out. I thought camping in a provincial park was prohibited. I just got my camping gear (really excited to try it out) but idk where to camp unless its crown land. Can I camp at Frontenac (like them) or were they trying out their luck. TIA !
@awais3257 camped at Frontenac at least 6 times, many other provincial parks you can camp at too. Just check out the Ontario park site, pick a park, and see and choose if they offer backcountry and/or car camping
Is it legal to camp at a provincial park ? This place a little far from where I live but I am willing to drive for the peace of mind (that is if its legal and I won’t get caught). Tia !
Viewers should keep in mind that this video is much too idyllic and the reality of camping in the bush country is usually much different:- sometimes, in late Summer and early Fall it can be like this and very pleasant but the reality is usually much different with flying biting insects swarming you in the summer heat while you sweat buckets and sometimes you are drenched by a sudden summer downpour and you need to watch for the poison ivy and there's all the nitty-gritty details to deal with such as peeing and pooing and disposing of the "bum wad" and of course the nicely packaged preserved "weenies" like that are very expensive and you'll be picking the bits of mold off your spoiled bread, etc:- check out the "Blackfly Song" by Tracy Newman on RUclips to really understand what Canadian "camping" is all about! Most people actually get a camper van or even a summer cottage or just a lot with a "bunkie" on it to enjoy "camping":- why suffer if you don't need to?!
i do not get the tone of you reply, sweat yes, bugs yes yes, so what ! you can wash and use bug spray., be prepared and enjoy or stay home and watch youtube. this park is very friendly to the novice hiker
@@billanthony1426 You are obviously a masochist who enjoys bugs, sweat, toil, and tears while you camp but most of us are not in that category so it's just a warning about the realities of actual camping and what to expect especially on an overnight trip:- I've been there, done that, so I know the realities. This video makes overnight camping trips in the wilderness seem too much like an idyllic day-visit and picnic to High Park in Toronto. I remember one fellow who took his wife camping and her widowed mother insisted on joining them but at night she had to go to the toilet and forgot to bring a roll of toilet paper so she just grabbed a handful of poison-ivy leaves in the dark to wipe herself leading to considerable personal discomfort for many days thereafter (putting it mildly!):- Nature is "red in tooth and claw" and novices should always keep that in mind, it's not always a "Garden of Eden" as seemingly portrayed in this video. 😕
I've been to this park several times, the bugs can be bad at certain time of year, It's never too hot, and all the campsites are beside lakes, so you can go swimming if you're too hot, they have closed in outhouses at the campsites for peeing & pooing & disposing of bum wad ! You pack your food according to how long you're going for, bread doesn't go mouldy in 2 days, I keep a cooler with ice in my car, and go back to it every day to get more food, this park is a bit tougher because you can't drive to your site, got to hike or paddle, and carry what you need. I always bring a couple of big tarps and tie it to trees, put my tent and picnic table under it, so if it rains, still have a comfortable place to hang out. preparation and knowing what to bring can make a big difference. There is a lot of poison ivy in this park, so don't go wandering around looking for firewood at night. A bit of hardship and suffering is worth it in my opinion ! I always go by kayak, loaded up high like the Beverley Hillbillies truck !
Zip, unless you leave some smelly garbage with food in it lying about and wait for a bear to show up and say "Hi!" to it but even that will probably not work in that area. You would have better luck further north close to or even within Algonquin Park. Black bears tend to be shy and reclusive and non-confrontational and prefer to avoid humans which they find to be very scary worrisome creatures. The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources strongly discourages people from encouraging bears to visit because if a bear gets too comfortable with people and starts "misbehaving" they sometimes need to shoot it dead for public safety so they prefer to avoid that outcome. I've actually had a few unplanned and unsolicited bear encounters over the years but they are surprisingly easy to scare off. Pls note that advice is only for eastern black bears:- the western grizzlies and brown bears and northern polar bears are very different and much more assertive and aggressive so you need to take special precautions when hiking in their country.
Gods im so tired of ableist classist outdoors people. "Its a s simple as just going" Oh is it?? It's as simple as alreayd owning hundreds of dollars of lightweight backpacking and camping gear?? It's as simple as having a car, time, fuel, and entry money?? As someone who camps and canoes asd often as i can on a broke ass budget im so tired of hearing this. I haven't had the money to stay anywhere but crown land or non operative prov parks. Stop saying it's easy, these recreational places are more and more priced out of poor peoples grasps.
Thanks for sharing such a therapeutic video.

Pretty decent actually, but we haven’t seen one!
