Really enjoyed the video. Didn't know you could take the pin bones out that easy. I'll give it a try this coming season. Great fish fry information 👌 Thanks
Me and my wife been together since I was 19 I'm 60. We don't have to ask how to cook anything because we grew up in the country. We live a good life and money is nice but knowledge is worth more than paper.
Hi Daryl - great videos - love the channel! Question - what type of pan are you using and where did you acquire it? I like the size of that pan and the handle length. That pan would be perfect for family fish dinners at camp. Thanks for your help Daryl!
Great vid. Really tasty looking. But guides should realy try to avoid cooking in the cans the food comes in. Cans a loaded with BPA coating that leaches into your food as you heat it up.
@darylgilbertoutdoors lol I get that. But why intake something toxic when it's easy to avoid it? I'm not talking about using aluminum or any wise tails like that.
That was a great vid. Musky footage was so cool.
Thanks!, glad we caught it on camera!

It’s definitely a huge part of the experience! I swear some guests come just for the shore lunch

Hi ND The Pan were are using is GSi Brand 20 " Skillet. Here is a link to their website with it. gsioutdoors.com/steel-20-skillet.html
Tug a-war with a fish, wow!!!
Some extra excitement!
So why do you fillet walleye different then trout ? Does it have to do with the anatomy or is it just preference?
Body shape of the lake trout , they are thicker and more deep than a walleye
WOOOOW! 2-4-1
Thanks
Your dog looked like he wanted to catch a lake trout of his own 🤣
He loves fishing and diving for things!
How convenient a tree with a table to filet a huge catch
Amazing how that was there!

Everything kills you in this world today, especially breathing

@@darylgilbertoutdoors the coating is to stop the chemical reaction that happens when the acid in the food reacts with the metal.
@@evanhammond7305 just the way lodges have always done it. Then they would have to supply all the guides with pots or pans aswell.
Do you bleed your fish.
I have before but don’t always do it. I don’t notice enough of a difference to make it worthwhile. But everyone has their preference!
isnt tin foil unhealthy to cook with?
No
@darylgilbertoutdoors pretty sure it is...
@ pretty sure it’s not
What lake?????????????
Yoke Lake Ontario
You should of cooked up the small mouth and musky as well
I’d rather eat my shoe I think haha
@@darylgilbertoutdoors shoes don't taste bad grilled or deep fried seriously smallmouth are pretty good I've never had musky though
@@davidbrothers3788 Not for me!, we're catch and release on all musky and bass aswell!
I bleed out all my trout asap
