@Deepak Arya this bhabhi fetish is really f***** up. Here is my theory: people have sex with someone who is an outsider to family(u only marry girl or boy who comes from a different family). A fetish is a weired sexual desire (which intends to break the rules set by society) so having a fetish means having a forbidden desire (sounds daring, thus increase in confidence/ego). having sex with a family member is a big no, imagine fantasizing your mother, sister or daughter (repulsive x100) but bhabhi although a family member she is not related to u by blood. So desiring bhabhi fulfills the fetish of desiring a family member but at the same time it's not incest. I don't know if it makes sense
But at least when we all reach their age we won't be that snooty and nosey about everyone and everything- won't be that judgemental. i seriously have heard a lot about '' THE AUNTIES '' but have not met anyone like that... my parents are not like them (they hate talking about other people's life!!) neither are my relatives or my grandparents nor my neighbours.. i have never been compared to my relatives 's kids nor been told about sanskaar or anything.. all my relatives including my grandparents never questioned me on wearing my choice of clothes or anything... they have always supported me throughout... seeing the comment section i was pretty shocked.. i thought everyone's family is like mine.. all of a sudden feeling blessed!!
I love aunties in general. The hate they get is misdirected, it's our disgust for patriarchy and judgement that we put on them. Sure, they prod us to get married, have kids, judge our colour of skin and hairstyle and clothes, but as it is with other people, once you get to truly know a person and when you both have walked a mile in each other's shoes you really come to know where it's coming from. Aunties, to me, mean good food, blunt honest opinions, warmest of hugs in a society that shuns PDA, and belly laughs once you strike the right chord.
As usual I loved the topic picked up by @Swaddle In my opinion, cinema has not played a very big role in creating the identity of the "evil aunty" because I believe, we see this identity or this character in our day to day lives on a much higher scale. One famous example is our oh-so-caring aunties worrying over our marriages even more than our own parents🤷♀️ P. S. Today my paternal aunty told my dad (on phone) that she's not gonna die until she sees my marriage (background- She's been quite sick due to old age) My dad's Savage reply to her was... In that case, my daughter said she is never gonna marry so that you live long😂

this gets me thinking about all the times i argued with my mother to get to do and have things that i wanted but things that weren't actually good for me. on such occasions , my father would often favor me unduly , and since having my own way was all i wanted , i'd ignore if my mum forbode/ warned against doing something she felt wasn't good . much like daddy's spoilt girl being disrespectful to her not-so-'cool' mother. like papa's consent was the only and enough. my younger sister follows my example. if that's somebody else's story too, try to change it. respect mummy as much as papa , and let her know you do through your actions. there's things only a mother knows and can teach you.# againstinternalmisogyny
A video on "choice for passion" is still difficult in the Indian society . If u are an artist then others will always judge that there no carrier in it . Can't people be bussy in there own life why they want to always disturbting someone's aim.🙄
I always had this thought. But now I've figured the reason for it. Education is the most important even if you are an artist. Because, artists get replaced all the time. So u can see some people doing "suicide" due to lack of opportunities;(
I understood this in my very early age that they are victims ...and they do exact same with us whatever they gone through ... because they have taught this is right ....it's all bcs of growing up in that society
I would love to overthink about this and change my perception about aunties but ever since my family arranged these ' ladke walle' meetings to get me married I have started seeing horrible aunties who are narrow minded and way too much into colourism. Before this I used to think people talk non sense when they say a woman is a woman's worst enemy but seeing these aunties changed my perception. Some woman take too much pride in insulting other woman, men aren't good either but these aunties are no better * end of rant..* I'm just stating my experience and view feel free to disagree.
Oh MY GOd this makes perfect sense ! I always thought abt the typical slang "Women against women always" and couldn't understand why it is so. But now it makes sense. Also in those ancient times, males were highly privileged and allowed to have multiple affairs and wives so obviously for the sake of affection and insurance from their Man, those women turned against each other. Trying to always bring each other down just to gain some favor from their husband or his family or the society. It all originated their and is still very prevelent.
I just can't tell how much I love the content of this channel..... But I honestly I feel that we youngsters already are aware of these points but jinko actual zarurat hai iss sb gyan ki vo h hmare parents, so PLZZ @the_swaddle bring this series in hindi language also So that we could make our parents/relatives or other problematic elements 😅 to overthink about these so happily acceptable nonsensical customs and traditions through ur much sensical n valid points and questions

i seriously have heard a lot about '' THE AUNTIES '' but have not met anyone like that... my parents are not like them (they hate talking about other people's life!!) neither are my relatives or my grandparents nor my neighbours.. i have never been compared to my relatives 's kids nor been told about sanskaar or anything.. all my relatives including my grandparents never questioned me on wearing my choice of clothes or anything... they have always supported me throughout... seeing the comment section i was pretty shocked.. i thought everyone's family is like mine.. all of a sudden feeling blessed!!
Well , i didn't hate my any aunt just click on the button to find out the reason why the notion of hating aunties is......
Thanks for this video. Gives fresh perspective, same goes with mother-in-law image
As usual I loved the topic picked up by @Swaddle
In my opinion, cinema has not played a very big role in creating the identity of the "evil aunty" because I believe, we see this identity or this character in our day to day lives on a much higher scale.
One famous example is our oh-so-caring aunties worrying over our marriages even more than our own parents🤷♀️
P. S. Today my paternal aunty told my dad (on phone) that she's not gonna die until she sees my marriage (background- She's been quite sick due to old age)
My dad's Savage reply to her was... In that case, my daughter said she is never gonna marry so that you live long😂
There are some people who do fit the stereotype but I never thought of all middle aged women as a stereotypical aunty
This has become my favourite channel on RUclips 😍
wow I never thought of this! love your insightful and educational vids:)
A much needed video
This channel never disappoints! 🤘
Such a great series!
Most of us knows it, but they don't understand it....
I really love when Anahita describes the facts
Editing level 💯 🔥🔥
I had never thought of it...thank you!
Thank you swaddle. Even I hated all aunties...but this changed my mentality :) No more generalising
I do genuinely love all videos of swaddle and I am sure many others do.... glad I subscribed to the channel... great content
Wow, I just subscribe to your channel today and found such amazing content. It is really amazing to see such an informative and in-depth video within 4 minutes. The other thing I want to say to you all is "You are doing a great job keep doing" it and most importantly thank you for providing valuable content.
This is because aunties are frustrated because they couldn't live their life according to their will, didn't have chance to explore things.
Your topic is just so awesome......♥️
Love you, Team Swaddle❤️
this gets me thinking about all the times i argued with my mother to get to do and have things that i wanted but things that weren't actually good for me. on such occasions , my father would often favor me unduly , and since having my own way was all i wanted , i'd ignore if my mum forbode/ warned against doing something she felt wasn't good . much like daddy's spoilt girl being disrespectful to her not-so-'cool' mother. like papa's consent was the only and enough. my younger sister follows my example.
if that's somebody else's story too, try to change it. respect mummy as much as papa , and let her know you do through your actions. there's things only a mother knows and can teach you.# againstinternalmisogyny
Thumbs up! Makes sense. 👍🏻
Waow you guys are really showing how these stereotypes originated which helps us to understand it's root cause and not be one dimensional
Manorama in ‘Bombay to Goa’ and ‘Seeta aur Geeta’ is the OG Reel Aunty I love and aspire to be.
These videos are awesome..!!
Swaddle always surprises with their contents
It's too dangerous that swaddle is feeding such generalized answers to every problem that exists in our society.
"Patriarchy".....
It is the real problem India is facing.
Patriarchy.Root of all crimes that take place here.
They don't to admit women's real nature.
So u can see some people doing "suicide" due to lack of opportunities;(
True, we got to break the bias rather than making new ones.
One problem with aunties is "They ask way too many questions when I come from work!"
Some woman take too much pride in insulting other woman, men aren't good either but these aunties are no better * end of rant..*
I'm just stating my experience and view feel free to disagree.
So true . Some of these swaddle videos are like ditto me and my so called overthinking theories.. and snippets
we hate "Aunties" Not be'coz of what we saw on a Silver screen but what we have experienced in our REAL life.
Who is after gaya3's video
Well I really hope that our generation becomes the cool aunty that's gonna bring you chocolate and stand out for our nieces and nephews.
I learn many things from this channel
How do you even come up with such unique topics everytime?
