Amazing video! I loved Stacey's excitement at the seals (last video) and this time with the whales and dolphins was simply serene and magical. Thank you for creating such gorgeous content, I can't wait to visit NZ once the borders re-open to international travellers. ✨
This made me remember when I use to go whale watching every year in Southern California in the late '70's. But in a deep sea fishing boat...nothing as fancy as yours. ;)
I recommend you go to Vava'u Northern Tonga to swim with humpback whales... Last month we spent a week up close and personal for 5 days from Tonga Blue Lagoon resort.. AWESOME.... swimming with Mother and calves, males hanging vertically singing, Heat Runs with multiple males pursuing a sole female... mother and calf plus one or two male escorts... Whales breaching, floating on the surface, a calf coming up from the depths to pass close to you and look you in the eye... To be followed by mum and then the escort... And most of all... The incredible tenderness between mother and calf humpback... Spell binding magic in their majesty. What a privilege....
Great video, we did not do the whale tour in NZ as we had the privilege to do tours off Vancouver Island in Canada & Iceland. Mostly orca and hump backs there but the same happened there, everyone stopped, no talking, no pictures. Everyone was in awe and in the moment. You can not prepare yourself for how it feels when you get close to these magestic creatures. The 🐬 on the mail boat tour in the marlborough sounds where fabulous, one of our favourite moments in NZ!
The duskys around Kaikoura are absolutely wild 🤣 i live only a few hours drive from Kaikoura and every time I go I get to see hundreds of dolphins just from the beach! I have always been fascinated by whales but I get really bad seasickness :’) I do still really want to do the plane trip at some point though, and I’m not letting motion sickness stop me!! Absolutely amazing video, I really enjoyed it!
I've been watching through all of your NZ road trip to plan my trip there in December. ☺️ I was over there on a working holiday visa when the pandemic hit so I had to leave with so much of my NZ bucket list still to go! Now I have to squeeze it all into 3 weeks so watching your videos helped me make sure I didn't miss anything (it also helped me note down so food options!) Thank you for your great vids 👏👏
In 2019, I was working in New Zealand and was heading by bus up to the North Island for a job and stopped in Kaikoura for a few days. I did the whale watching flight. We did not see any whales but we did see a huge 80+ pod of dolphins.
This is amazing! When I was there the whales were nowhere to be seen but I was booked on the swim with dolphins tour and we got so lucky! We swan with around 100 and on the way back came across what the crew guessed was about 300! It was the most magical thing I've ever done and seen
Beautiful guys. I can't believe as a Kiwi how much of my own backyard I haven't explored yet. I'm putting together a good list from your videos though. Thanks x
We were in exactly the same boat not so long ago but now we can totally see why international travellers rave about NZ. We're so lucky to call this place home ❤️ Glad our adventures have helped you put together an exciting list of things to see & do!
This was honestly so perfect! It was just magnificent! Me and Stacey are one and the same! I recently went to a maritime museum and they have a titanic exhibit, I was gone, I left my boyfriend and was off, so if I ever had the chance to see whales or dolphins in the wild, I’d be long gone! This is just absolutely astonishing! 🐬🐋💗
I'm literally crying rn.... We would have gone to New-Zealand for a 4 week roadtrip this March..... We've planned it for October for now. But I guess it's false hope. I wanna go so bad!
Had no idea about the oil in the sperm whales heads, that's fascinating!! Very jealous of your blue whale sighting. I've been fortunate enough to see whales in Tadoussac (Quebec) spotting Beluga and humpback. Blue whales are meant to be there when I visited, but didn't see any! 😔 Very much enjoyed this video 🐋
hey! this is great, i was starting researching costs of viziting nz, and the motor homes just clicked. its great. we live in romania and want to visit nz someday. do you have any kids friendly recomandations?
We're definitely not qualified for anything kid-friendly but make sure you watch our friends Stephen and Jess from Flying the Nest, they just did a massive road trip over here with their baby so that might be helpful for you 😊
Do not leave your bags unattended on the Whale Watch boats. Friend had several hundred dollars stolen from her bag after being told it was safe to leave it while outside.
Do you have any idea how disrespectful it is to call someone 'big girl'? This is the reality of what happens on board when you're issued a strong sea sickness warning, you don't have to watch it, no one is forcing you.
The dedication to correctly pronouncing Maori words and place names 👌
Yaaaaaaayyyyy 😊 We have been putting in SO much effort to learn, so we really appreciate you noticing ❤️ Thank you!
I love Stacey's excitement. Looked like an amazing day of whale watching
It was such a surreal experience :)
Awww man, I'm thrilled for you guys! What an exciting and magical whale tour 🐳🐋🐬
It was unreal, so hard to put into words!
Such beautiful, magnificent creatures. Looks like the weather worked out too! Loving this season 2 so far!
Apart from the strong sea sickness warnings, we couldn't have asked for a better day. So happy you're loving it!
This was one of the most peaceful and tranquil video that I have seen in a long time🙏
As always another awesome video love from🇮🇪💚🍀😘
That moment when the whale dives down 😍 is like the definition of tranquility!
I always look forward to your videos since I watch everything from the beginning very funny and informative please be safe
Thanks Justin! 😊

Kaikoura is really delivering on the wildlife front, we love it here! Hope you get to visit soon 😊

Oh you mean you didn't have business class seats on the deep sea fishing boat? 😂
Whales actually take my breath away, so magical! 🌟
We agree! So magical ❤️

Oh wow, those sound like incredible locations for whale watching! So true, it's an indescribable feeling.
that was simply awesome, I was so excited for you to see the whales and dolphins. thanks for taking us along
Thanks for coming on the adventure with us, wouldn't be the same without all of you!
What an amazing experience !!! New Zealand is definitely on top of my bucketlist, looks like such a wonderful place! Thank you for showing it to us✌🏻
I have been catching up those new videos, once again, amazing stuff. Really beautiful spots. Cool campervan by the way.
Thank you! We love Dora our campervan too, she's been great!
Love the whales!!
I felt like travelling with you & seeing the whales up close.
So peaceful, awesome vlog.
Thanks Dane & Stace 😎🇳🇿💖

Wauw. What an epic trip to take the shot of the tail. going down breath taking 😱🤩. Great video
So breathtaking, we were speechless!
Camera work absolutely on point to capture the dive! Fantastic that Stacey just let the moment sweep her along :)
OMG! 🐳 Whale watching is incredible. Added to my bucket list ❤️
It's so surreal, an unforgettable experience for sure 😊
I knew this would be ammaaazing and sure enough. Perfect vlog!
Aww, too kind! Thank you Lulu 😊

What a neat video. Well done, guys. Like all your episodes, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to end.
You guys have no idea how much joy your videos give me 🥺. Amazing content as always.

Have fun! 3-weeks is fast but possible, spend more in the South Island!
Went whale watching in Alaska so this video made me smile with good memories :)
Whale watching in Alaksa 😍 Now that sounds like a bucket list experience.
Great video what a memorable trip! We were in Maui this past Feb. thankfully we saw so many whales even from our resort beach! They are fascinating! 😊

Gutted about the whales, but how sick seeing 80+ dolphins!

That's a shame about the whales but what an incredible dolphin experience 😍 Sounds so magical!!

Haha we are definitely alike then! I completely forgot that we were vlogging and just stood at the railing with a massive smile on my face!
lol! you got a creeper over Stacey’s shoulder at 03:01. 😂
😂 Peek a boo! Good spotting!

They're such clever creatures, we had no idea either until this trip. Wow that sounds amazing too!
Amazzzing 👍😂💕
😂 Couldn't think of a better way to describe it myself!

Oh noooo! So sorry to hear that
😍😍
😊😊
God I’m such a saddo. Me again #1
Weird, you spelled champion wrong 😂❤️
What time of day was your whale watch tour?
We went on the morning tour! Hoping that if it got delayed we had time that day to get out there still
Is there a package deal from Napier please
👌👌👌👌🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍
😊😊
Hate the thought of stress put on whales. Whale whisperers, I think not. Free Willy was not a step forward for whales.
These whales are just out in the wild living their best lives, no feeding, no getting up close, no interference
Is there any ugly places in New Zealand? Lol
Not that we can think of but this sounds like a fun vlog to make 😂
5:06 big girl throwing up LOLLLLLLL. u guyys need to pay more attention when editing. no one wants to see that
