My theory on the Legion of the Damned is that service to the Emperor does not end in death for those Space Marines that die in service to the Emperor, Chapter Master, and their Chapter.
I have 2 theories. They are former marines of traitor legions that grew disgusted with their brother’s actions and have broken free from the warp gods and now seek to undo the damage and corruption. 2 : they came into existence when the emperor nearly turned into dark king and they were the only thing that manifested before the ascension went any further.
They are the emperors psychic manifestation of the flame falcons who were executed by the inquisition. they were a 21st founding chapter whos mutation caused them to burst into flames in battle, they became relentless towards the enemy and apparently whilst doing so took no damage. They viewed this as the emperors blessing but the inquisition saw it as a heretical mutation ordering the grey knights to purge them
I hold with the Emperor being their creator. He’s a barely-alive thing on a throne kept “alive” only thru intensive electro-drug eqpt While wherever “he” (or what remains of his mind) has long ago lost its moorings to a corporeal existence, while a still-fierce Will retains its psycher power that spans spacetime. Reduced to a vegetable with thoughts and influence that span the galaxy, He is the main reason the future is a grim darkness that knows only war. The Legion of the Damned doesn’t intervene in every battle, but just often enough, and with weapons and tactics outside physics tjust enough, to keep the carnage coming.
The Legion of the Damned are, in my personal Head Canon, the Imperial Equivalent of Lesser Daemons, like Bloodthirsters, Daemonettes, Pink Horrors, etc. Living Saints are greater daemons. My basis for this is the events of the Fall of Cadia. When the pylons were activated, the Legion and St. Celestine faded out of existence along with the other Daemons.
I love the Legion of the Damned. My favorite Astartes between the Salamanders and the Reasonable Marines. They have the best over the top powers. Aloha gents and lady.
A little heads up: The gene in genestealer is pronounced as jeans and the ch in primarch should sound more like a k. Might have missed a few more but I hope this helps!
Duty ends only in death
Dante: hold my beer
Saint Celestine: Hold mine too while you're at it
duty does not always end in death
Perfect timing for October.

ghost riders of 40k
"Ghost Riders in the Void" needs to be a 40k podcast or something.
I thought the same thing. I've never heard of those badasses.
That one with the chain on the bike Screams Ghost Rider to me and probably many who see it.

It's an AI you should watch the blood angels video. Constantly refers to the 9th legion as the phonetically pronounced ixs legion
@@jonathonboon9396 oh meh, thanks for the heads up!
I thought that the Mechanicus didn't innovate or work on tech without STCs.
Legion of the damned is probably either the forgotten or the lost.
Cue up Judas Priest - Hell Patrol, and that is pretty much them.
Lol, they decided to add Ghost Riders to the Imperial Marines, what a rip off.
A Warp entity like the Emperor needs like minded servitors.
Inspired by Ghostrider 11:54
Warp Ghosts next ?
robut willamen
Demons of the imperium
I remember when this was a playable spacemarine faction back in 2nd edition I believe.
who tf gubult billiman ? this thing cant say names
Why do you gotta use AI images though? That thing looks nothing like a member of the legion of the damned.
The AI voice program has some pronunciation issues.
for me? thank you!
This is the worst AI reading I've ever heard
