      You’re welcome! I loved both bows! The draw cycle is the best thing about the Lift in my opinion! Throw some stabilizers on it and she’s rock steady

    I bought a lift 29.5 but kept my phase 4 29 for now. I’m having trouble deciding which one to keep. The p4 has a 28 mod, the lift has a 28.5 mod and the draw lengths feel similar. The big difference to me is the weight. The lift is noticeably lighter, but the P4 isn’t heavy, so weight won’t be a real factor for me. I continue to feel that the P4 is quieter and has less vibration. The P4 holds steadier and I attribute that to the weight. Both draw cycles are fine and feel like Mathews to me. I have the limbs all the way down on both and both mods are 60 lbs. The lift does have a place near the end of the draw that requires more effort. The lift is a touch faster but not enough to matter to me. I’m still not sure which I will keep, but I’m leaning P4. Both bows are worth it, it’s just personal preference.

      I would try and run the lift at the same exact draw length as the p4. And see if anything changes.. but in the end shoot the one you shoot the best!

    Thanks for doing this video! I just bought a phase 4 over the summer, and I'm seriously considering swapping to the lift. In all honesty, from your test, I'd stick with the phase 4! That group is 100 times better! For me, I think it will come down to the draw cycle. I haven't tried the lift yet, but I'm not a big fan of the draw on the p4. I also shoot a 29, so the cycles are a little harsher on both bows from what I hear.

    Thanks for sharing the video. I have a P4 29 and it’s great. I’m a decent shot, nothing special. If I’m being completely honest, as long as I execute the shot the way I should, I’ve gotten very similar accuracy and consistency from the Halon, V3, VXR, and P4. There are some differences in the bows of course, but similar good results. The Lift story is about less weight, new cams, factory string upgrade….I haven’t tried one yet, but I’m betting my results will be very similar to my other Mathews….so it will boil down to having something new and cool to mess around with. And there’s nothing wrong with that!

  • @donovanstockton7081
    @donovanstockton7081 4 месяца назад

    Finally a fair video. I have both bows and don’t think one is “better” than the other. I haven’t been able to find meaningful performance differences. Draw cycle on Phase 4 33 is easier but not as consistent as the lift. The weight savings gets lost when fully rigging your bow. Maybe the 1” reflex difference gives the slightest advantage to the lift. But overall both bows are awesome. Killed 3 doe and 1 buck with the phase 4 and the sound dampening was pretty remarkable. Didn’t seem like the deer reacted much to the shot.

    Solid form dude. Mass weight without bars typically is Gona win out on hold as I’m sure you know. I’ve got them both as well I want to add some mass weight to the lift and compare them at the same mass weight with bars

    It's always been the consensus that heavier is always a more stable platform which is kinda what you found out without the stabilizers. The P4 is a 1/2 lb heavier and that Hamskea Trinity is probably close to that much heavier than the QAD. A better test would probably be to shoot those ends with the stabs on one bow score it and then put the stab setup on the other bow and score it. They are similar enough bows that they will probably always be pretty close in score though.

    My 2€’s- shooting at 60 yards is stretching it for accurate feedback? Unless you’re a highly accomplished archer. I would think something like 40 yards max would be a more realistic test. Of course, it’s all subjective because you’re outside in the wind etc. And one bow being new to you adds another dimension as you’re not really familiar with it. But, hey, it’s all in fun anyway. I enjoy your videos 👍👍👀

      Open your mind brother. I'm not a Mathews fanboy by any means. I just bought the lift and it's my first Mathews bow. I got the elite omnia last year and I love it too. I will use both as needed depending on what I'm doing. Just cause prime is what you chose doesn't mean it's the best for everyone.
