I agree that trial effect time lapse looks awesome. Tried to find a tutorial here on youTube & couldnt find one :( Watched that clip a few more times and worked it out. Quite obvious and easy to do. Will try it on one of my vids soon. Thanks for the idea C-Milk :)
When I went to Guangzhou everyone I ate with was shocked I could chopsticks. Some clapped, some smiled. It was very odd, several times the question of Americans using chopsticks in America was baffling to them.
I imagine by foreigner you probably mean European/caucasian? One of my black friends went to China and apparently most people were pretty intolerant towards him. Good video though. :)
Whenever I visit China my kids get massive attention because they are mixed. It may seem cool at first but I'm so glad we moved to Canada where they will have to use their brains to stand out.
Good choice. In US there are few job opportunities unless you are a wiz kid. also Canada is becoming more tolerant than the States and you now have a higher standard of living. Not to mention nicer people and Less racists.
hackman669 Flat out not true, job opportunities are plentiful, the problems that many people are running into today is they depend on their education and degrees to get a job. With a GED or its equivalent being almost universal and some form of college education being the norm, this no longer guarantees you an instant job. What this means is that an employer no longer hires based entirely or even mostly on education, and instead on work ethic, and/or prior work experience. (Doesn't need to be in the same field, only to show that you are in fact capable of holding down a job) The best thing you can do for a job is to take the first job opportunity you can find (preferably as early as possible, 16-19) and hold it. It matters little on the job itself, but one that gains you applicable experience helps. Being a whiz kid isn't required.
@@hackman669 Racists? Racism in the US isn't even a tenth as bad as the Media makes it out to be (bunch of dirty smear merchants; yeah, I have a low opinion of the media). Sure, there are pockets of it here or there, but overall it is VERY tolerant in this country. The 'scary' white supremacist mostly consists of maybe a couple of dozen guys in a _whole_ State. KKK is extremely rare to find in this country, and no one really takes them seriously. The lightly racist people don't bother minorities for the most part, and even the few really racist people rarely do anything noteworthy (primarily all talk). Most people are more concerned about their own day to day affairs than going out of their way to be rude to someone who looks different. I travel all over this country, coast to coast, and I've encountered very few really racist people. Even the negative opinions that people have about illegal immigrants have nothing to do with race, and everything to do with economics and politics. My business partner (incidentally a black guy) has a son-in-law from Mexico that hates illegal immigration with a passion, because he did it the correct way and expects good people to do the same. I completely agree with him, regardless of where someone comes from (Canada included).

Definitely got a good amount of attention from people wanting to help if they could and practice speaking English. Restaurant owners wanting to take pictures of you in their shop. I did also get looks of amazement when holding open doors and the green plastic slits. And lots of people staring in general. I enjoyed China, it was a great place to visit. Can't wait to go back!!
Awesome drone work, editing and 4K is sweet! I'm cracking up at all the people staring at you filming, this video literally proved your point. Your baby is adorable!
The thing about dating foreigners is that there is a lack of expectations. Like if I want to get to know an American girl she and I might have expectations on how the other person is supposed to act. When a person falls outside that norm they are odd and that can be a turn off. Where with a foreigner you have no expectations and you're not looking for faults. You expect them to be weird/awkward. In a since that makes it easier. It's kid of like reverting to a childlike innocence in how the two people interact with each other. This is what I've gathered from being in the military and being overseas.
Vivi, my mother is visiting and overheard your comment about what your father said about your looks in your last video, and she was SO FURIOUS for you! I tried to tell her that Chinese older generation is just that way, but she stomped around the house in fury for half an hour. She wants you to know that you're beautiful. ;)
shooting flat, color grading, logs, cinematic shots, slow motion shots. Damn! Quality wise, I would say this this is on a whole new level. I feel like this is how big youtubers are going to shoot in a year or two. The shadows are pretty strong though. With the close up it feels like a scene from the sopranos
Because you are technically or obviously( I was trying to find a more polite or politically ,correct way of saying this and failed)foreign have you ever caught people near you talking about you, assuming that you won't understand the language?

Hey there! I just wanted to pop in and say that I just discovered your channel and I'm loving it. you guys are really stepping it up. i like how you and viv use some humor to deal wit normally serious topics most people get all butt hurt about. whoo wee!
@laowhy86 I think the next time you see Jason, you should have him record a video with the phone on the back of your motorcycle for old times sake. It would be a trip for the older viewers.
Just want to point out that in Chengdu, I was making ~31000 dollars a year at one English teaching job. So, yeah, just because one person says that their experience is the way it is, it may not be entirely the case
Very true, but I am talking about 2008 at a tiny training center in a 3rd tier city. The point of the video was my experiences, but everyones mileage will vary, like you said.
Oh okay, that makes sense but for the benefit of those thinking of going to China in the near future, I think it would be best if that was clarified. I mean, the title of the video is "Top 5 BEST Things About Being a Foreigner in China " which doesn't speak to a prior condition, nor did your comments or what tier city this was true for. Really did sound like a blanket statement on the reality of life in China.
Yes! Same here during my two week visit. My fiancé had to stand there and watch, as the local ladies stopped to call me 'handsome' in the street on an hourly basis. She hated it hahahaha!!!!
It's so nice because we're not used to it in the west. I was in a lot of small villages and in one little town there was a little boy who started taking pictures of me while I was eating. he didn't ask or anything. and he also wanted pictures with me as well did his family. Next time I'm in China I'll start charging people for taking pictures lol
loving your videos man. I have been living in a tier 3 city now for 7 years in Anhui province with marriage on the cards in 2 months. It's great to see all your videos, and topics you talk about. Stuff that me and the guys battle with and talk about on a daily basis.
Your videos are wonderful & informative! My fiance is Chinese from Hong Kong and I feel some sort of attachment to your channel!! keep up the good work!
I just found your channel and I think it's awesome! I totally agree about your five best things list. I had the opportunity to work in Korea for almost three years for my company and the first thing I found interesting was that my real estate agent confided in me that if I wasn't married I would be a considered a very good catch. Another time I was hanging out at Starbucks with my a Korean friend and a friend of his who was a girl. She kept staring at me and out of the blue told me that I had beautiful eyes. My wife, who also worked for the same company with me in Korea, made crazy, off the books money teaching English to Korean children. Everybody would try to help us. If it looked like we were lost, somebody would inevitably stop to see if they could help. When we first starting eating at local Korean restaurants, it wouldn't take long for somebody to come show us how we should be eating the food (they cut meat with scissors there, lol). Another thing I liked about Korea is that I could go into a huge Starbucks, put my backpack down at a table before I ordered (hard to find tables at Starbucks in Korea) and never worried once that anything would happen to my backpack. I also spent five months in Yemen in 2006 studying Arabic (I already had a strong base). Being a white person in Yemen is like finding the golden ticket. Being a white person in Yemen who can speak Arabic is like being a movie star. Having said that, both the Korean and Yemeni people were just super awesome and I feel so lucky to have been able to spend so much time in those countries.
Your video quality is really going through the roof. Looking forward to hearing the 5 worst things about being a Laowai in China...not being able to buy a train ticket online is definitely one of the biggest annoyances for me.
Yeah, I've bought one off C-Trip as well, but you have to pay a 50 RMB commission and you still can only use the automated 取票 machines if you have a 身份证 so it's pretty pointless and inconvenient.
Really enjoy your videos. I have a long distance relationship right now with a FIlipina. You have shared insights that have helped with the culture barrier.
i'm chinese. to tell you the truth,if you are white, you will be very popular in China. it's not because we are racist, it;s just because white people have big eyes, white skin, chinese people do find that attractive.
I always love the cinematic sequences on your channel and advchina but for some reason this one really hit a chord with me, it was awesome! I hate to comment on something other than the main topic of the video but it was awesome! haha keep up the great content! :)
It can also be a bad thing since Chinese people also aren't afraid of saying what's on their mind, if you're fat, they'll call you "fatty", if you're short, they'll call you short, if you have lots of zits they'll call you zitface
discovered your videos a few weeks ago, really interesting. My brother lived in beijing teaching english for 2 years so...there's some pre-existing connection for me. Keep up the great stuff! FYI- the C U Again song was sick
You guys were both looking really happy on this one, was really nice to see you two just hang out, Vivi looked pretty hyped to be out on a family date.
Good video again dude, dem editing skillz. 2brave on the dating part tho, don't you know you should say something like ''I like Chinese girls (OR MEN) but they don't like me because I'm a stupid smelly foreigner'' or something like that? That way everyone keeps face! /s
Yeah more job opportunities than America. Lived in California all my life and no one notices me. Guess I'm just plain or something. The dogs and cats like me though.
I would almost say foreign women get treated better than men, especially if they know Chinese. Those who model and get well known from it are treated like queens, and those who are in a business or science field seem to intimidate everyone. And the dating scene is pretty much endless if that is what you're into. Also, C-milk, love the editing, but the weird dark cast/high contrast/low saturation or whatever it is that your vids have lately is kinda buggin me. And I know it's not from the 雾霾 so don't give any excuses(there's no hiding that gray hair).
huh, I spent 2 months in a tier 3 city and was never once told i was handsome...i must be REALLY fucking ugly then

wow what an increase in production quality. You're really getting good at this C-Milk! Keep it up!
I got so much attention when I was in China last summer and I loved it hehe
It is fun!
MSP2505
sammimeimei chan yes?
loving your videos man. I have been living in a tier 3 city now for 7 years in Anhui province with marriage on the cards in 2 months. It's great to see all your videos, and topics you talk about. Stuff that me and the guys battle with and talk about on a daily basis.
Excellent editing and quality!
Thank you!
Your videos are wonderful & informative! My fiance is Chinese from Hong Kong and I feel some sort of attachment to your channel!! keep up the good work!
love how he's walking around and people just stop to stare at him lol
I'm a Chinese living in Australia, I wached ur video a lot. I really appreciate what you been done, thank you for showing the real China to the world.
Thanks so much!
face swap creepy af
I know, right?
China is all about faceswap.
How long did it end taking for you to get caught with the drone?
we didnt! amazingly!
Your video quality is really going through the roof. Looking forward to hearing the 5 worst things about being a Laowai in China...not being able to buy a train ticket online is definitely one of the biggest annoyances for me.
I bought train tickets on C-Trip with no issues last time I was in China... Maybe something changed in the past year?
I bought a train ticket on C-trip September 2016
Yeah, I've bought one off C-Trip as well, but you have to pay a 50 RMB commission and you still can only use the automated 取票 machines if you have a 身份证 so it's pretty pointless and inconvenient.
Really enjoy your videos. I have a long distance relationship right now with a FIlipina. You have shared insights that have helped with the culture barrier.
Vivi saying "wideo" is hilarious.
Layla Harb hah it was pretty cute
Mandarin doesn't have the /v/ sound so it's very hard for Chinese speakers to reproduce it
The acting and filming skills of you have been improved so much since the beginning of your post on RUclips.
lmao totally loved Vivis take on "Welcome to another veedio" tell her to do that again!
That music choice with the drone footage was PERFECT.
I do call my Chinese wife Laowai, in USA, it's nice to have the roles reversed.
you are laowai in USA
Whoa! LOVE the drone footage and time manipulation - so cool and advanced looking!
You always pick great music
nilelg5 what song was that?
Thanks! Cartoon - CU Again
The music and editing is AMAZING my man. I enjoyed this a lot, keep it up :D
Thank you!!!
Is that doll...a 100 American dollars?!
yes....
What made it so expensive??
hand made and Not made in China, iguess
must be made in America
Vivi is lovely dude. She's a cheeky character, who obviously isn't agreeing with you on most points😁💪 she is a great find bro and I'm now subbed.
Welcome to another Video hahaha. Great n Fun Video, Good Job Guys. Vivienne you are so beautiful.
thanks!
this video is so well edited wtf im so impressed
i'm chinese. to tell you the truth,if you are white, you will be very popular in China. it's not because we are racist, it;s just because white people have big eyes, white skin, chinese people do find that attractive.
Is it also that white or more pale skin is seen as more healthy?
matt bomer yeah, asians find that very exotic.
aoko sakano They all have white skin themselves but it's exotic? I don't get it. Someone explain?
Great video! Looking forward to seeing the next one about negative sides
your daughter is so cuteeeee...., I love this topic, thanks for your video.
I always love the cinematic sequences on your channel and advchina but for some reason this one really hit a chord with me, it was awesome! I hate to comment on something other than the main topic of the video but it was awesome! haha keep up the great content! :)
Good vid, agree with all the points, especially #focusgate2012
I'd like to say the next video will be better... I'd really like to say that.
how come you commented 3 days ago???
Han Solo it was probably unlisted
Patreons get early access
the production is phenomenal today, please keep it up! love it!
I appreciate it!
I watched that last part with the baby 4 times🤣
lol while editing I kept coming back to that clip!
same haha its so cute
+laowhy86
You could really mess up your kid if you showed her a couple of minutes of the face switching app with mom and dad. ;-p
Interesting Internet 👍yup definately
The drone shots and the editing is awesome
Basically if you need to build self asteem, go to China?
If you are good at lying to yourself? ;-)
And be scam by a chinese woman after she get the green card ;)
And that's very common.
Awwwww poor Olivia, mean mommy and daddy won't let her keep the toy that's 100 FREAKING DOLLARS.
You guys were both looking really happy on this one, was really nice to see you two just hang out, Vivi looked pretty hyped to be out on a family date.
Oh shit, son you been upgrading your game!
Very refreshing take with an amazing editing.👌 I can't wait to venture out!
Little baby is sooo lovely!!
Love the filter and picture quality in this vid!
Holly sheet, that face swap was Lit ;)
the editing was the best ive seen you do so far.
Thank you!!!
Good video again dude, dem editing skillz.
2brave on the dating part tho, don't you know you should say something like ''I like Chinese girls (OR MEN) but they don't like me because I'm a stupid smelly foreigner'' or something like that? That way everyone keeps face!
/s
Great job bro you are doing hard work on your every video, the video came out amazing.
A foreigner can get a job just standing in front of some mall just to be seen?! Haha I need to move there.
Yeah more job opportunities than America. Lived in California all my life and no one notices me. Guess I'm just plain or something. The dogs and cats like me though.
Adam Chambers you are so funny. at first, you need to be handsome,
valery chen yes
You did a hell of a job, the production is creazy and the quality is like a hollywood movie.
KEEP DOING YOUR THING
"when i close my eyes i can no more seeing hmm~"
I remember yooooouuuuu
This video has done some sick edit and I love it.
Trying new stuff when the weather is trash. Thanks!
I guess I'll let it slide
another great video. Keep up the good work.
If I may ask who is ( Lena ? ) the glasses wearing female in the beginning of the video with you and Serpentza @ 0:05 ??? 😳
She is another vlogger in China. We did a video with her on ADVChina which will be up in a few weeks. Her channel is called Lenaround
🏃 heading over right now ....
Lenaaround ahhh .... Hopefully Prozzie will chase Wing around for awhile 😜
The traffic shot was amazing. Great use of that effect. Keep up the great work always look forward to catching your videos.
Just about got away with talking about dating with his wife just there!
she couldn't care less lol
Great editing brotha, keep it up!
Thanks!
ahh lingling. Love her
