Yes the bible never lies, agree ”If you’re humble, you will be respected.” proverbs 29:23. Some people don’t respect, even if you are humble. Jesus wasn’t respected by everyone either. We can take the crucifixion journey as an example.

I may listen to this message, though in my 65 years, affected with a late-diagnosed ASD, I find that my efforts to respect others were in vain. I really don't care if people respect me or not as most people don't respect others. People will remember me for my wisdom, character and sports knowledge. Beyond those 3, I don't care how others view me.
I do agree with you Tami, but in my direct experience telling the truth often makes us a target for unscrupulous nonbelievers who simply claim you are lying. And even presenting evidence won’t help as they just deny the evidence and continue to claim you are lying. While Christian people will respect this, scathing and hateful nonbelievers will not. This is a world of people who believe that honesty is a trait of weakness. So while I am not suggesting we shouldnt be honest, of course, I want to point out that it is likely to initially cause a lot of problems. I pray that eventually the truth will be our tool of God’s work, knowing that it may be a path of challenges too.

Actually, this will not earn the respect of others. Good people are, instead, targets for the selfish behaviour of those who seek to elevate themselves by tearing others down. You may be respected by people who value honorable behaviour, but those people arent seeking to ruin you anyway. In my direct experience…and we know why this is.

Hi! I hope this will encourage you. Being asexual is absolutely not a sin! :) Having no sexual desire is perfectly biblical. 1 Corinthians 7 talks about how it’s good to be single and unmarried and good to not have sex ( not that it’s wrong to be married and have sex within marriage either! ) so definitely don’t feel like being asexual is bad at all. God does not intend for every person to be married or have sex. Also, keep in mind that if you are young, the world has a lot of unbiblical ideas about sex. Just because you don’t have much or any sexual desire now doesn’t mean it will or should always be that way. You don’t have to have it all figured out yet! There’s no real need for labels, your true identity is in Christ and whatever you are, if you put God first and choose to obey Him, the rest won’t matter. God bless.
