I moved back to the Midwest so I can be with my daughter and transferred to a job that I knew how to do and I was very comfortable with. But the company was not very good and I left it for the post office. The post office was even worse. It was very toxic and the hours and the days were odd and I just could not see myself working there for very long. Something in my soul and in my gut told me that I needed to quit in order to be mentally stable. Luckily I had a little bit of a money cushion so I went ahead and quit. Now I am unemployed and haven't been unemployed in many many years. Sometimes I feel like a total loser but I am using this time to accept my situation which has been difficult. To grieve. But also to connect with God. As a former atheist and recently a former agnostic I'm starting to get to know God and I hope to know him very well soon. Please pray for me and I need a breakthrough. I lived a Horror Story from age 8 to 62, one you would not believe was real. Incest , mentally abused, physically abused, and I passed it on to my children . ( I told my daughter, I never wanted a girl, because I didn’t want her to live my life.) I DID NOT KNOW GOD. 😢 After years of abuse from others and what I did to myself. I got cancer and other problems which put me into a coma for 3 years. When I came out 🙏🙌 I KNEW GODS LOVE AND HIS FORGIVENESS , that was 12 years ago. I’m 74 now and I work for the glory of my Farther God. 🙏❤️🙌 PRASE HIM!! AMEN
😭😭😭 I wept bitterly in this sermon. Nothing is more painful in this world than knowing that we have failed God. He is indeed a God of second chances, merciful and loving.
We never fail God , we fail our selves , God wants to bless us , we really don't add nothing to him but he wants to add everything to us and we miss out because we are failing our selves, don't beat your self up feeling bad for God , God is G he is all good for ever , you hurt your self and he wants you to come to him and feel great ,.drop your failure forget it it's already in the past and forgiven , instead look ahead .
The week after my baptism I continued to sin, the only difference is the great remorse I felt this time because I know better. I have failed God and myself, but this sermon has encouraged me to keep going in Christ. Holy Spirit please give me the strength to turn from my earthly desires. My flesh is waging war on me and I can’t fight it alone.

I wholeheartedly understand, I too have drowned myself in shame and disappointment, but God keeps reminding me that He isn't done with me and to carry on. The problem with me is now as an adult I've become ashamed of grieving, getting tearful, crying. I think this came from being bullied a lot at school because of a physical disability that made me walk different, I thought that people perceived me as emotionally and mentally weak as well. I was naturally sensitive but in desperation to not feel weak and inferior and to minimize the chance of being bullied, I shut off my natural response of crying/grieving because of any kind of pain. Now whenever there's a response in me that wants to cry, my first urge is to push and beat it down and subdue it. Does anyone have any advice to help me start letting myself feel again, and let my body/tear ducts express their natural response? This message has so much well thought out wisdom.
I just wanna say thank you for this Pastor Rick. I am dealing with sins I’ve committed in my childhood and adolescence. So much pain and regret, but God was so good in the healing process for my recovery. This was encouraging and a reminder of God’s mercy and goodness. God bless you Pastor 🙏🏽

It’s amazing how this sermon came before me this morning. It’s exactly what I needed. I’d definitely been somewhere in the Judas desperation side of things, not wanting to be. I knew I was being attacked by Satan and my own bad habits. Jesus comes after us and will use the smallest sliver of light in us to help us navigate out of the dark. Right! I say that all the time lol I ask constantly "Why does it have to be so cryptic Lord?" Then I remind myself that I know why... I understand that God says we are here to learn and he gave us free will so we can learn different things. Our free allows us not only the opportunity to do the right thing but also the opportunity to do the wrong thing...Doing the wrong thing or making bad choices give us the opportunity to learn. The more we mess up in the same area, the better we learn the lessons allowing us to become teachers in those areas. Jesus' disciples were fishers of men and in order to share the Good News they had to be good teachers! Glory be to God and his brilliant plans for us!
Exactly! That's the way I used to feel. I would be so impatient that I wouldn't wait on God to talk to me but I didn't even realize the whole time He was talking to me. Through my failures he made me stronger... I took that for granted. He was only Wanting me to ask for his help instead of me doing it on my own And in my own flesh like ways. Don't forget He's always there for you . Be patient and look for lessons that you may be overlooking. It's his will and his way, and know he will never fail you. Don't give up, Go back and find where you left him, He has not left you. That is probably one of the hardest lessons that I have dealt with also.

wow this teaching is amazing. I love that Pastor Rick preaches from the word of God and preaches biblical truths. I literally had a failure today where I reacted out of anger. I felt horrible immediately for what I did. I felt dirty and far from God. I felt guilty and ashamed. I looked up on RUclips "when I fail God" and this teaching came up and wow the Bible is alive and His word is alive. I have repented and received God's forgiveness and mercy. I feel like the woman who poured her perfume on Jesus. She gave to Jesus so much worship because she was forgiven much. And now that I feel God has forgiven me (and will continue to forgive me) I want to give forgiveness to my transgressors. God is love and His love has touched me and has made me want to be giving to others (even in my failure). I believe God is using my failures and shortcomings so that I can "feed His sheep".

😭😭😭 I wept bitterly in this sermon. Nothing is more painful in this world than knowing that we have failed God. He is indeed a God of second chances, merciful and loving.
We never fail God , we fail our selves , God wants to bless us , we really don't add nothing to him but he wants to add everything to us and we miss out because we are failing our selves, don't beat your self up feeling bad for God , God is G he is all good for ever , you hurt your self and he wants you to come to him and feel great ,.drop your failure forget it it's already in the past and forgiven , instead look ahead .

I wholeheartedly understand, I too have drowned myself in shame and disappointment, but God keeps reminding me that He isn't done with me and to carry on. I need to get plugged back into a community, falling away and isolating has been a big mistake leaving me weak and disillusioned.

The problem with me is now as an adult I've become ashamed of grieving, getting tearful, crying. I think this came from being bullied a lot at school because of a physical disability that made me walk different, I thought that people perceived me as emotionally and mentally weak as well. I was naturally sensitive but in desperation to not feel weak and inferior and to minimize the chance of being bullied, I shut off my natural response of crying/grieving because of any kind of pain. Now whenever there's a response in me that wants to cry, my first urge is to push and beat it down and subdue it.
Does anyone have any advice to help me start letting myself feel again, and let my body/tear ducts express their natural response?

I just wanna say thank you for this Pastor Rick. I am dealing with sins I’ve committed in my childhood and adolescence. So much pain and regret, but God was so good in the healing process for my recovery. This was encouraging and a reminder of God’s mercy and goodness. God bless you Pastor 🙏🏽

It’s amazing how this sermon came before me this morning. It’s exactly what I needed. I’d definitely been somewhere in the Judas desperation side of things, not wanting to be. I knew I was being attacked by Satan and my own bad habits. Jesus comes after us and will use the smallest sliver of light in us to help us navigate out of the dark. He led me back to HIS promises through Pastor Rick who presented so beautifully here. Using scripture is key. Keep looking up like Peter. Grateful! Bless you!

Many Christians speak hardly and hurt others! I've been in many situations were I've asked for prayer or counsel. But the wrong words hurt and offended me. I've grown in Knowledge by reading Gods word. In many personal trials. How we respond to hard times shows what our heart believes. Right! I say that all the time lol I ask constantly "Why does it have to be so cryptic Lord?" Then I remind myself that I know why...
I understand that God says we are here to learn and he gave us free will so we can learn different things. Our free allows us not only the opportunity to do the right thing but also the opportunity to do the wrong thing...Doing the wrong thing or making bad choices give us the opportunity to learn. The more we mess up in the same area, the better we learn the lessons allowing us to become teachers in those areas. Jesus' disciples were fishers of men and in order to share the Good News they had to be good teachers! Glory be to God and his brilliant plans for us!

Exactly! That's the way I used to feel. I would be so impatient that I wouldn't wait on God to talk to me but I didn't even realize the whole time He was talking to me. Through my failures he made me stronger... I took that for granted. He was only Wanting me to ask for his help instead of me doing it on my own And in my own flesh like ways. Don't forget He's always there for you . Be patient and look for lessons that you may be overlooking. It's his will and his way, and know he will never fail you. Don't give up, Go back and find where you left him, He has not left you. That is probably one of the hardest lessons that I have dealt with also.
Feeling like the biggest failure but in the back of my mind i feel like God see different of me and see that I am trying to be a better person. I'm trying to make ALL the right decisions I'm 22 and I don't have time to waste. I need to make right decisions at all times and that burden I put on myself is too much but I can't help it.

wow this teaching is amazing. I love that Pastor Rick preaches from the word of God and preaches biblical truths. I literally had a failure today where I reacted out of anger. I felt horrible immediately for what I did. I felt dirty and far from God. I felt guilty and ashamed. I looked up on RUclips "when I fail God" and this teaching came up and wow the Bible is alive and His word is alive. I have repented and received God's forgiveness and mercy. I feel like the woman who poured her perfume on Jesus. She gave to Jesus so much worship because she was forgiven much. And now that I feel God has forgiven me (and will continue to forgive me) I want to give forgiveness to my transgressors. God is love and His love has touched me and has made me want to be giving to others (even in my failure). I believe God is using my failures and shortcomings so that I can "feed His sheep".

Listen your sin hurt you not God , you can't hurt God , your only hurting your self , your the one missing out on love of God and favor , he feels bad for you , you don't need to feel bad for him , you should accept his power and love and help your self through him that's what he wants you to do and not feel bad thinking you hurt him , he is unhurtable , he is good for ever meaning he need nothing from you he only wants to give you , he is not a human don't think your hurt him or make him feel bad etc , God is eternal bliss who needs nothing from you or anyone , he makes everything for you though and he wants you to have everything through him , but you think you want sin when it destroys you , you are your own enemy so instead of feeling bad for God , feel bad for your self and what your doing to your self and instead free your self , accept God's gift of restoration

That’s exactly what i did tonight grieved for two hours and I always believe but never fully committed and asked God to come and to me i always believed but I never said god I need you to take over my life and help me and guide me I grieved and then I went down stairs and my mom was just sitting there she’s been there e whole time and just continue to break down and ask her finally for the first time I want and need to give my life to God for real and it was painful thar soulful pain Iv felt my whole life and my mom started speaking in tongues and God spoke through her for exactly what I was grieving in the order exactly of what I was grieving... and now I am meditating and fully committed to have him take control over my life
