Pastor David relates the famous story of "Jacob's Ladder" from Genesis, chapter 28. This image of a "stairway from heaven to earth," revealed to Jacob in a dream, causes him to rename the location where he slept "Bethel," or "House of God."
What if God were to meet us at a time and a place where we least expect it this week? How would we respond? In such moments, we may be struck by an awareness that God can meet us anywhere and anytime because there is no place and no time where we can escape both God’s presence and his love for us.
