      Great question Charles, Checking out your channel it looks like you have a pretty blank slate as far as the build goes. I think you are on the right track and have the build headed in the right direction. If you are looking to build a truck that is capable of handling anything that might come your way I would take a look at getting it fully armored front and rear. Take a look at our new bumper options for the Tundra as well as the skid plates to finish out your armor package. From there you can start thinking about storage and sleeping accommodations.

    You've added a bunch of weight and raised the cg. How do you rate the load and tow capacity of the new vehicle for insurance and safety purposes?

    • @nathanwright1031
      @nathanwright1031 3 года назад

      We have built the suspension around the added weight and accessories so that it will fully support that weight and towing correctly. I would say it has had little affect on towing and we have added the costs of the modifications for insurance purposes. Each insurance company could be different so you may want to check with your company specifically for specifics.

    If you're gonna make such a specialty vehicle, removing most general purpose utility that makes a pickup so useful, why not just buy or rent a mfg built Jeep like a Rubicon?

    • @nathanwright1031
      @nathanwright1031 3 года назад +2

      It all depends on your end goal for the use of the truck. The Tundra, as a full size truck, provides a lot of benefits over the Jeep options. More power, more space, better towing and a more affordable platform are a few of those areas we have noticed as compared to our Jeep Gladiator. The bed rack can easily be removed to get the truck back to true "truck" status and have a fully usable bed. That being said you are right that there are benefits to the jeep as well. As a factory vehicle it is more capable off-road and its smaller size lends well to more trail types. Either way each vehicle serves a definite purpose and the products we install on them make them even more capable and useful!

    Garbage!!! Whenever you use those types of shocks to gain height you lose downward travel. Really sucks when your going down hill and you don’t have enough downward travel or going fast and hitting a pothole . Biggest downsides to Tacomas and tundras is trying to lift the front suspension on a budget!
