He truly had something special in Starkiller. I like to headcanon that Starkiller contributed in Vader's redemption when he sacrificed himself, especially with how solemn he sounded when he said "He is dead." A small part cared about him as a son deep down.
@@Elemento0420 That didn't mean he didn't care about him. He stabbed him and threw him to space but he recovered his body when he could have left him to die, and even though he used him as a weapon and never intended to overthrow the Empire, that didn't mean he just didn't view him as some form of surrogate son. Vader was fully under Palpatine's leash but that didn't mean there was nothing there. Abusers also can love their victims even though that doesn't excuse the things they do obviously. It's a twisted and sick form of love for sure and it's wrong what Vader did throughout his childhood but that didn't mean he lacked affection. Vader especially always had an attachment issue.
@@Elemento0420 Perhaps, but I have grew up in such an environment and have done plenty of research on this topic. Galen sacrificed himself and became a true Jedi - even going as much as to show sympathy for Vader when PROXY said "I hate being him" and he said "I think he does too", becoming a better man than Vader. Abusers are twisted mainly by their own experiences. Not all but Vader is one of them people. Speaking from my own experience, there was times where the people I grew up with showed a protective nature over me on rare occasions even though it never lasted long. When I was greatly injured or hospitalized a few times, they had shown concern and worry about my safety - I guess that stems from the abuse mainly being verbal and emotional with only three or four cases of physicality. Fortunately, ain't planning to see them ever again. When Vader said he was dead, that sounded like he did have something akin to care about him. Vader raised him for years and struggled with himself constantly. There was undoubtedly a few tender moments between the two. But Vader was also fully under Palpy's leash so there was no doubt where his alignment lies.
I think you're projecting your own experiences onto the character. Which is your right, but not conducive to an objective analysis of the character. Starkiller being the Secret Apprentice was Sidious' brainchild, not Vader's, which is confirmed by Sidious in no uncertain terms stating was Galen's function was at the game's end. This confession ties to this very scene. Vader, as far as he is concerned, is finished with Starkiller. There is no more pretense, no tomfoolery like when Vader batted around Luke. Vader has no emotional connection to Galen, and his indifference he is meant to convey that apathy, which is why Galen rebuts with what he thinks are his final words. I will concede that Vader sounds somewhat melancholic on commenting on Galen's death, but its not enough to imply Vader is actually mourning Starkiller, since he clearly has no qualms about mass producing his remains and perverting his memory in the sequel.
@@faded9581 Given Vader raised Starkiller since he was what? 3? 4? There ought to be something. Anakin was very attached with people, and attachment led to his eventual salvation. There was always a bit of Anakin Skywalker in there, no matter Vader's denials. It was the same when Commander Appo died: "I was rather fond of Commander Appo." Vader was broken. People who try to push this narrative Anakin never cared about anyone after he became a Sith are wrong because ultimately he did and honestly doesn't understand the character. Anakin cared TOO MUCH and that was a flaw. Vader cared about Contrail, Erv Lekauf, Piett as well, the Naberrie family who didn't have to worry about Imperial problems, and countless other people. Of course Sidious had more of a grip over him and he would satisfy his Master but there was always the emotional connections that linger. To address the final statement, the sequel doesn't tie into the first one in a good way. Galen Marek's sacrifice was a way to set off the Rebellion. The sequel was so short and ended so quickly that there's no point in playing it. I honestly don't even consider it apart of Galen's journey.
I mean with that: If they both fight sidious they would have died because they are to weak And so starkiller is not there to save the rebellion and vader not there to save luke from the emperor

I cant belief he did this, they could of been such good teammates 😢
15 yrs since that great game came out
2008. Fun times
Seeing Vader land on endor in the middle of battle like nothing was going on was sick as heck!
"Endor" 😐
Are you fucking kidding me

@@shiqdmajin817 my bad that's the first time I mixed them up 😔
I mean they both have furry bait
Starkiller: “Without me, you’ll never be free”
Vader: “And I took that personally”
Bro that thumbnail.

Starkiller dropped the soap
Bruh I didn’t even notice that 😂😂
Giving some darth backshots.
Not gonna lie the Force Unleashed was definitely the most goated Star Wars videos game ever
When he said, what is thy bidding, my master, you can hear the Maul voice
7:55 I can hear Maul. Lmao.
Ah, brings back good childhood memories...
The thumbnail is amazing
I fell like if he had the chance, Starkiller could grow to Vader’s level. Not full potential Anakin, just Vader.
Starkiller can be very happy that vader nearly killed him on the executor lol
Would they fight against sidious...
Star wars would have a bad ending xD
I mean with that:
If they both fight sidious they would have died because they are to weak
And so starkiller is not there to save the rebellion and vader not there to save luke from the emperor
Starkiller was a force sensitive jedi just like his father. Good soldiers follow orders
I remember playing this on the ps2 and it was a completely different game
Wym
