Listened to this when I confessed I liked my crush, it helped me calm down and we were in a relationship for a few months and went back to being friends, I’m with a different girl now and struggling with depression and school. Every time I listen to this song it brings me back to a simpler time. When we were able to sing our hearts out and not give a shit about who hears. Back when everything was simple, and I was a kid who liked someone who liked me back. When we looked into each other’s eyes and thought it would last till the end of time. I miss the feeling of those days. I miss 2017. This song might be the one thing that can bring back those memories and I’m forever grateful to you for giving me confidence a few years ago to be happy. Thank you Joel.

Jack, I know that exact feeling... the one where a song can take you back to a specific moment in time, and make you feel something so familiar for a split second. I have songs that do that for me as well, but this is the first time someone has told me that a song I wrote has that power for someone else. I'm so humbled.
I never thought you’d see this! This song is one of few that can do that for me, if I ever to get a tattoo it is going to be of one of the lyrics to this song because it’s one of the songs that has shaped who I am today. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart

I can't help but feel at home listening to this album, especially this song.
When I first came across it, I had just come back from a 2-year church mission, and was struggling to find meaning in regular life again. Why was I working? Why was I doing what I was doing?
Then I came cross this. For 5 minutes, I understood. It was an incredible feeling.
Now, whenever I feel distant, I come back. I transports me back to a moment of understanding. I imagine the cool breeze through the Appalachian pines as I run countless miles on unending trails, as I do so often when I'm home. All is right listening to this stuff.

It's really true that I keep coming back to this song. Things are not going well these days and people I know are turning into strangers slowly. If I'm being honest, I'm both sad and happy right now. I never wanted to lose them but sometimes, we really need to let go of things that hold us down. Well, everyone's leaving and I'm also changing but I'm glad that my taste in your beautiful music is still the same. It still takes me to mountains and streams and I still have that goal to stay simple. This is truly a masterpiece. 🤍

Snowboarding and Mountain Culture were huge inspirations for this song.

Wonderful song, but I'm particularly obsessed with the acoustic intro going to about the 22-second mark. I made a looped cut of just that bit for personal use and listened to it on a hike yesterday. Problem is I used an old version of Windows Movie Maker to do it and there's a faint static background noise, not to mention I have to crank the volume up to hear it at a decent level. Would be over the moon if an official cut of the intro was produced - it's beautiful and the first thing I think of when hearing it are the beautiful evergreens engulfed in a morning fog up here in the PNW. All that aside, great work!

Absolutely! First of all, thank you for listening to my music. This song was inspired by the mountains and winter areas I have been fortunate enough to spend time in... and how every time I visited one of these places, I found myself in awe of the creation I was witnessing. It put in perspective the destructive and narrow mindsets that creep their way into our way of thinking if left unmonitored... It made me feel like I had a new, and more meaningful life
