Hi Ed - Huge Huge Fan! I had a question for you regarding the sweetness of this recipe (might be American cookies in general). I am a big fan of English bakes, mainly because they are never painfully sweet. In an old episode of GBBO, Paul H made a quote that I Whole-heartedly agree with which was “sometime the best way to enjoy American desserts is to make them British” (true). What did you think of the final product (sweetness) of these cookie recipes you are featuring?
I’d disagree with Paul there when it comes to cookies, sugar is more than sweetness it also creates the texture of a cookie so reducing the sugar will really change the end result. If you want something less sweet I have an episode perfect for you next week
Thanks for making this recipe -- I, like you, have seen it everywhere, thought about trying it (really, to test the hype!), but never got around to it. I'm sold! Hope mine come out as beautiful-looking as yours! ;)
Simply loving the cookie chronicles series...in awe of these giant cookies. Shall try them soon. I have a question: is it possible to substitute the eggs in the recipe?
I'm loving this series. I'm always on the look out for the best chocolate chip cookie recipe. I think I have found a really, really amazing one. It's from Gesine Bullock Prado from her Let Them Eat Cake cookbook. I'm not easily impressed and I love this recipe. They are called her Chocolaty Chippy Chunk Cookies
Any tips on preventing the spreading?? I kept mine in the freezer for about 30-45mins & they STILL SPREAD ALL ACROSS THE COOKIE SHEET INTO 1 big blob!!!😫😫😫
Constructive criticism - show us the texture of the cookies by breaking them, or at least picking them up and showing them from the side, because there is very little information we can learn about the cookies by just looking at them 🙂
Funny how the recipe in her book calls for foil-lined baking sheets and during a television interview, and like you did here, parchment lined sheet pans. I think your finished product was not your first try.
Yes, these cookies and the technique looks awesome. I want to try these. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe and yes to the cookie chronicles. 🙂

Hello. How would you wrap this to give to family for present? It's very big?
Love the series! I’m still searching for my favorite choc chip cookie recipe. What happens if you make this cookie smaller -does it change texture?
Hi love your video what’s the total time you bake the cookies with and without fan ?
I’ve always wanted to know how to make cookies exactly like subway does because they’re my favourite, especially the white chocolate macadamia nut one

Thanks for the video! My cookies was as wrinklely like yours and very oily. Could it be my butter is too soft as i left it outside for quite a while?

Could be your altitude? Add a few more tbsp of flour
Wowww i will try these for sure
Definitely worth whipping up a batch
Can I put black truffle sea salt on top?
is it chewy too?
I've heard that pan baking is also good to prevent cakieness in brownies so it's fudgier

Diabetic cooking sweet and savoury
Defiantly Martha Stewart’s Monster cookies. They are filled with goodness!!
Isn’t it too sweet? Too much sugar used
I believe you can tell a lot from the shape of a man's glasses.
