Jeff Skinner (who actually plays for Hedican's former team, lol) used to do competitive figure skating up to his teens and sometimes you can see it in the way he skates. He's very skilled :)

Let me just say this, skating has the best names for different moves: swizzle, camel spin, twizzle, swing roll (I call it spring roll accidentally sometimes 😂), Mohawk, spread eagle, kazooka (i think that's the name), spiral, stag jump, falling leaf, barrel roll, and my favorite, shoot the duck.
If you like this, we used to have a show in Canada called "Battle of the Blades". Think "Dancing with the Stars" but with NHL players and Olympians doing pairs figure skating. I'm sure you can find it on here.

Stan Makita was or is married to a figure skater that was in the Ice Capades. Sometimes between periods they would skate together for the fans. Makita said the only problem he had was not being able to do some of the moves because he was in hockey skates.
