Is there a fly tying kit for a beginner that you would recommend? I mean, a cheap but not crappie one. Like The Cabela’s kit that’s like $30-$50. Can’t be good. But I feel like buying tools separately would be expensive.

Scissors: a set with midge tips are awesome if you're tying normal trout flies and not bigger flies.

I have found a paper cutter for cutting uniform foam strips is quicker and more accurate than sissors.
