Great video! I was looking at Fly tying kits but had no clue of how to use any of it. I was originally looking for a better way to tie the ends of goat hair bundles for jewelry making & other items but now I am fascinated with fly tying as another use for the goat hair! Thank you so much for doing this video! It has also helped me get a better idea of where it's worth it to spend the extra money on rather than just going with the cheapest one. 👍👍

The bobbin holder is monumentally important when using the rotary function to wrap material while keeping your thread attached.

Getting back into fly tying, and my challenge is finding a vise that will handle Catskill dries, North Country soft hackles, and traditional feather winged streamers. Still thinking.... 😄. Thanks!

Do you mean, in regards to the jaw size? The renzetti 2000 pretty much fits all!

I like your video, however, Renzetti is not the be all/end all vice. Lots of other vices out there. Personally I have a Wolff/Indiana Titan and a Regal. I LOVE my Regal. I considered the Renzetti Traveler and WOULD tie on on. But again, other good products out there. 90% of my tying is on the Regal.

Regal is fully the same tier of quality, as renzetti is! No doubt about it. We just prefer the renzetti, because of the rotation plane, when tying flies! We have inhouse staff, that much prefers Regal as well! It's all about personal preference, when we talk top tier vices!

Friendly English spelling correction: Flies are tied on a vise, not a vice.
A vice is an immoral behavior. Ex: Stealing is a vice.
A vise is a tool used to grip or hold objects. Ex: A good vise is needed to hold the hook firmly if you want to tie flies.
