    Floyd, you are the best tutorial maker in the world. short and to the point. I wish other RUclipsrs learn from you.

    Did you record a new take of Floyd for every tutorial? or did you edit / have a few takes of Floyd of different lengths and keep reusing bits. Great muppet skills btw! ;)

      Multiple takes that I reuse.

      Finally a person who dares to ask the most important questions, and information that has been missing on everything here 😄

      Can you add a ruler and scale the image with a line ? Like in onshape ?
      What I mean is, take a picture of an object and you include a ruler so you know the measures and then scale the image by the ruler in the picture and when you model after the picture the model is already the right measurement

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  Год назад

      @@dumbnisse You can create a line with an exact length and scale the image to that... yes

      @@Pixelfondue nice thanks, is it cumbersome? Like Scale/realign, scale/realign? In onshape the picture auto scale to your first drawed line

    Very helpful, thanks! I always forget shortcuts. Instead of pressing "M"-key, is there an icon or another way for Opacity?

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  6 месяцев назад

      No. Plasticity is very Hotkey driven without alot of buttons/icons

    Is there a mechanism for calibrating the size of the image based on some length reference within the image?

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  Год назад

      I just load the image then re size it to the dimensions I want

      @@Pixelfondue But you can't pick two reference points within the image and enter the real-world distance between them?

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  Год назад

      @@imacmill I make a bounding box curve and snap the ref image to that

      @@Pixelfondue OK, thanks.
      I need a little better control. I often use photos of motorcycle and auto parts that have a reference ruler laid down somewhere in the images to assist with scaling. FreeCAD is my usual go-to for replicating objects in the photos, and it has a tool for picking points on a background image amd setting the real-world distance between them...I pick two points on the ruler...easy.

    Can you pin an image to a surface?
    When I import an image it’s too big. I don’t seem to have an option for selecting a corner of an image and making it smaller to fit a sheet or surface I want to build the model from

    • @Pixelfondue
      @Pixelfondue  5 месяцев назад

      You can scale the images once loaded with the Scale tool

    Cool. Does anyone know if Plasticity will import transparent PNG's? .. and if so, what kind of image settings did you use to get it to work? I have not had any luck so far. I have tried everything I can think of.
