Thanks for this video. I’m White Mountain Apache but was adopted out as a baby. Raised Roman Catholic. The older I got, the more I felt that I don’t fit into that religion and found my roots and tribe. 💕
Hello ! I am French and have always felt deep respect for you, native Americans, among the rares ones over the earth to respect nature, human beings who have suffered so much but are still up and proud. It is a pleasure and a honour to be able to watch ceremonies from your ancestral culture. May your great gods bless you all !
Even though I'm not Apache, I have great respect for you and your people. I'm sorry about the past and your ancestors you lost, but I love your pride and courage. You will always be my favorite people. May the great spirits bless you all!
Read into Herman Lehman. A german man who lived with Apache and Comanche since his youth. Very very gruesome but inspiring story. I married a German woman so now she is learning our ways as I am as well. We have a beautiful german/apache/spanish daughter.
Most of our histories were and are passed down in stories. Very few are written down. And a lot of other ceremonies like these don’t allow outsiders or video devices. There are hundreds of different tribes across North America and we all have different beliefs and ceremonies but our hearts beat to the same drum. :)
As for the German you need too myed your own business stay out of my American native family life's. Do not trust you at all I don't like Germans you could be our enemy.
Im a indigenous person from Australia and i sew your video and i was so moved and touched by you culture that em proud of the Indian people and the amazing history that they have wich is so brave and historical
Alot first nations are lost, from addictions, or destroyed by colonization from residential school and bible, ceremonies like this are great models from our past to keep alive and empower our youth, amazing story, keep moving forward. Thank you for teaching us.
I'm apache and I'm going to be having my dance soon in September and all these videos that are showing up in my recommendations are really getting me excited:))
Nízhoní I am Navajo from piñon AZ to see people carry on a tradition is the most beautiful sight and feeling in the world Ahéhee’☺️I just LOVE my heritage it’s the most beautiful blessing I could have🙏❣️
i'm mescalero apache and our ceremonies are very similar, ours lasts four days and she dances all night on the fourth night. during the four days she stays in a tipi. she's blessed by the white painted woman and our crown dancers. music is a slower pace/lower voices as well. cool to see the differences and similarities between apache tribes. 'ixehé for sharing
I do not know my tribes, no dna test will show, its undocumented and finding gravestones and my family tree genealogy has taken much time...but by word of my elders, I am a mix of apache, navajo, as well as Mayan blood descending from Mexico. It's tough to hear the voice of this woman because it hits so strong, but we are still here. By blood forever. I am from south texas, embraced with my mexican heritage as well as my native and indigenous root. This is beautiful that tradition will always remain and not be forgotten. Love to all you out there. Do not lose hope, our day will come again.
When I was a young boy I was privileged to attend a few Sunrise Events in Whiteriver Arizona a long time ago. Also the rodeos at the fairgrounds. My mother was honored one time with pollen. Too young to understand much of the ceremony. Peace and prosperity to the Apache.
i am 34.6% chiricahua apache and i grew up not knowing i am apache i grew up knowing the mexican culture and i am learning about my tribe and what they believed in. i am also learning the dance and language
This is very touching and beautifully presented. I am teaching a World Dance class at a community college and they are learning about rite of passage and the role of dance in that. I am so excited to show my students this video. After growing up in Gilbert, AZ, this really deepens my appreciation and respect for the Apache culture. Thank you and blessings!
Thank you so much for this. I live and teach in Whiteriver, AZ. I've been saddened by the lack of documentaries and just general media available for my students to see and learn about their culture. This will be so helpful!!
Im to be 💯% native american both sides of my family. And i will always be proud to be related to Chiricahua Mescalero APACHES Real Native Americans. Im happy to be apache and blessed. To have apache family in the rez. Love them alot. 🦅✊🏾☝🏾⚡🌎✊🏾🙏🏾🕵🏾♀️🦅
This is beautiful - thank you for sharing this with us. What an honor to get to witness a piece of something so significant in tradition to your tribe.
I live in Nord Italy Justine. My name is Pierangelo '' pedro''. I pray for the sacred circle People's Native. Hasta siempre la Victoria! Hiii hiii hiiiii
I think all the native cultures are the real treasure of the American continent. From the other side of the world, I've always felt admiration and respect for your traditions, costumes, history and the deep connection with the natural world that surrounds you. You are beautiful people. Peace and love from Italy ☮️❤️🇮🇹
My boyfriend us Apache and because of that ive been trying my hardest to learn the tradions for our future children! Although im 65% northwestern European im wanting my future child to be brought up like there father in a apache traditional way💗
A'Ho from the Grand Daughter of Grace Nichols of the Creek Clan. Thank you for all the posts from different tribes. I find the Apache Ceremonies very interesting.
Hey Justin thanks for this fine work. Though we are in a Biz school, we do a lot of cross-cultural marketing stuff and that means learning about different people. I shared this with my class. Thanks!
Tahat is why so importand family and bound with all members and nature. In old Slavic belives we had the same culture and still we have it's live in us like in Apache tribes. SLAVA to you and greetings from Poland.

Americans and Europeans have advanced technology, art, literature, transportation, mathematics, humor, law, manufacture, music, politics, weapons, materials, space exploration, and communications. Indians shuffle around in the dirt.
We respect the land and we our told from the great spirit to not harm the earth or to bother things we shouldn't bother we our taught a lot and we known for a long time that you European people are crazy and evil and don't have respect
When she talks about prayer in the end of the video: Do they pray to the christian god or did some of the natives keep their traditional religions? Just wondering, cause I thought these religions died out, but it seems weird to pray to the christian god, while celebrating a tradional ceremony. I’m Swiss, so I don’t really know much about the Native American culture, but it’s really interesting to watch these videos. It’s great to see that some of the traditions survived.
Majority of people mix the two together.. I agree, in my opinion they shouldn’t mix but than again it’s what an individual believes and you can’t change that. I honestly chose to be fully traditional yet I have not came across anyone else who shares the same beliefs/thoughts as me. All I hear is about the Bible, god, angels etc. not that there’s anything wrong with it, but that is not my belief.
This people pray to and know the Almighty Creator of the whole earth, the Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing wrong with doing a traditional ceremony while praising and praying for God's protection and blessing over them, and it's the right thing to do. There are certain dances that are not done anymore, because they were evil and demonic and glorified evil things.
Truly loved their, line moves,,then I think I saw waltz, then if my eyes saw correctly, I witnessed some Irish jig,,,just what part of their choreography was actually belonging to them ...I wanted to see their circle of dance, the attire that says lepan, Mescolero, Churicahua, Jecorillo etc,,I don,t want to see Stetsons or non native attire ,the Apache to me is a very unique people,,,I like their casual wear,,a rag here and a rag there,,enough for their environment,,
